Ilya Andreev
Ilya Andreev was a war correspondent for state-run Channel One in Russia. He stopped doing this after a trip to Ukraine in 2022.
In September 2023, he signed a contract with the Russian Defence Ministry because he could not find a job. Ilya was sent to fight in the war but deserted because of the way he and other Russian troops were treated.
