Which problem caused by Gender Inequality is the most difficult to fix?

Stereotypes and expectations are the hardest to fix since they reinforce themselves if believed. It tends to overlook individual personalities and puts certain people in a certain category. This causes people to be convinced that they are what people say they are, making them not as unique as they are. People are judged by gender, age, religion, and disabilities. Many things have influence over young children like us, for example social media. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook and X make kids want to be what they see, making them more vulnerable to stereotypes. According to Google, “45% of people said that when they were children, they experienced gender stereotyping as they were expected to behave in a certain way.” If people do not behave the way they are expected to, they are discriminated against and left with hurtful comments. The ‘motherhood penalty’ is also linked to stereotypes as there is a biased opinion that mothers are less dedicated to their job because they have kids. It gives mothers a 20% pay gap, meaning they get less money to care for their child. This is a stereotype as this is putting mothers into a certain category. When they argue about it, they are shrugged off and can leave grudges. Groups that are targeted by stereotypes suffer from dark humour and jokes that make them feel isolated and alone. Many side effects are caused by gender inequality, like trust issues or depression. This is not a good thing in society as this makes people and the world less interesting and unique.
