If all ages are influenced by misinformation, should there be any age limits on voting?

“If ages are influenced by misinformation should there be any age limits on voting?”
I think that voting rights shouldn’t be lowered as many late teens who vote can be swayed and taken advantage of by others they see on the media. For example, As of March 2026, the UK government is actively progressing legislation to lower the voting age to 16 for all UK elections. I think that this age is too young to vote for the representative of the country as many factors can make teens make the wrong choice. E.G social media platforms can put the wrong ideas in people’s heads making them think that things happen that don’t. this makes teens feel guilty if they go against the main point in the video and not choose the representative that they would initially vote for, before watching the video. This has a negative effect on them as they feel like they can’t get their opinion out and what they are thinking is wrong. However, on the other hand, many might disagree with my statement as they think that teens are well educated in the topic of politics as they are taught citizenship in school so know what they are talking about; however, I think that this is not right as it is stated that over 90% of 16 year olds have AI and use it in school with and without consent which can lead to false information about potential representatives of a country making them change their mid about who to vote for.
