If all ages are influenced by misinformation, should there be any age limits on voting?

I think that age limits in voting are necessary so that if children are chosen to vote they dont just think that they have an opinion, when they are just voting on fake information that they have heard online. Lowering the age limits on voting could be a large problem in society causing false votes that should not be allowed to impact the future. Sir James Cleverly, said: " The Conservatives are clear that people become adults at 18 and that is when citizenship rights - such as voting - are gained". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly2jjvx466o . Many people are agreeing with this view and rightfully so. I agree with this point and believe that if minors are voting they may not know alot about politics and and vote randomly. In opposition, many think that information online can be innfluencial to young people and can give positive ideas for them to flourish in. This is wrong, as many of the views online is made up, untrue, or created by AI. Someone who disaggrees might think that not every child is mislead by fake information and that a rule like this should not be in place.
In conclusion, I think that young people (under 18) should not be allowed to vote as their ideas may not be valid information that is untrue and can mislead democracy.
