Can technology make sports more equal, or does it only widen the gap between competitors?

There have benn discussions about the technology in sports, because many people believe that it is unfair and it makes sports unequal. But the question is, is this statement correct or not?

First of all, tech helps sports to be more accurate, for example, with the help of VAR or HawkEye referees are able to review something that they are not sure of. Furthrmore, tech, like sophisticated swimming glasses help athletes measure their performance and their statistics, in order to improve themselves. Last but not least, machines like the one that throws tennis balls, are helpful, if people want to train alone. On the contrary, some people might say that people who can afford this tech have a boost. But I think they are wrong because tech doesn't improve someone's performance, it just shows them numbers, for them to know in which level they are.

After all, technology in sports has more advantages than disadvantages, because it makes them more fair for everyone and it makes every athlete's life easier.

Thank you,
