Equality, our way to where?

Let's consider that there is a balance between women and men. Often in our societies the weight of men is heavier. But what if? What if equality is achieved between everyone, woman and man, white and black, strong and weak? What if the saying: we are all equal, becomes real?

Religions have urged equality. Real Islam, for example, makes no difference between an Arab and a non-Arab except with piety and good deeds. People are equal, there is no difference between white and black, rich and poor, strong and weak, and this is the first principle of human rights. Article No.7 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that all people are equal before law, and they have the right to enjoy equal protection from it.

In addition, the Palestinian constitution, Article 9, stipulates that Palestinians are equal before law regardless race, sex, color, ,religion, political opinion or disability. Unfortunately, humans just read what's written in the constitutions but they did not do it. We moved away from applying equality. We showed discrimination and racism. We liked power and nepotism, so poverty and crimes spread. But what if we go hundreds of years ago, back to what our ancestors did? When the caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab cared about his people affairs day and night, and didn't sleep while one of his people was hungry. We need change, we need a just ruler who says and does, then we will get a better and safe society.

Equality is of great importance as it creates a spirit of love and cooperation among individuals. Most countries call for the application of equality right, whether the natural person and those with special needs. an example is what the State of Qatar did in FIFA World Cup 2022, where it chose a disabled young man to be the tournament ambassador, where the young Qatari Ghanem Al-Muftah, a person with caudal regression syndrome, appeared alongside the international star Morgan Freeman, and the two exchanged a dialogue in which the young Ghanem represented the voice of the Arabs, while Morgan spoke in the West tongue. This opening of the World Cup translates into equality in every sense of the word. Every country must support its citizens, and achieve equality. Then civilizations will flourish and safety will spread. In conclusion: our vision must be, together, hand in hand, to achieve equality and non-discrimination.

  • I really liked your speech because it is wonderful and accurate with many facts. I also liked in it that you searched for topics that are suitable for your topic that you are talking about, such as Ghanem Al-Muftah and Morgan, and also your words are consistent and have a very beautiful message and awareness for people, but what do you mean by “men are heavier in our society”?
    Thank you

    1. Thank you for sharing your opinion about my standpoint.
I think that man is heavier in our societies in that the man considers himself stronger than the woman and that he should be distinguished from the woman by depriving her of her rights. Women in our societies in some regions suffer from illiteracy, as they are denied their right to education. They also suffer from domestic violence, and they may be forced into early marriage without their opinion being heard. She may be prevented from work for illogical reasons. I have noticed a problem with divorced women who have children, that custody is given to them for a short period until the age of 9 years, and then custody is transferred to the father, who may prevent the mother of his children from seeing her children. Despite this, there are also appeals and slogans to support women and protect them from violence and injustice.

  • I fully agree with that most countries call for the application of equality rights for all individuals, regardless of their physical or mental abilities. The State of Qatar's decision to select a disabled young man as the ambassador for the FIFA World Cup 2022 is a great example of promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals with special needs.

Ghanem Al-Muftah, despite his physical challenges due to caudal regression syndrome, was given an equal opportunity to represent his country and interact with a high-profile celebrity like Morgan Freeman. This not only highlights the importance of creating opportunities for people with disabilities but also underscores the fact that these individuals have unique perspectives and talents that can contribute positively to society. Moreover, promoting equality and inclusivity in sports is critical, as it sends a powerful message to the world about the values of respect, dignity, and fairness. It also encourages everyone to participate in sports activities, regardless of their abilities, and promotes a culture of acceptance and understanding towards individuals with disabilities. The selection of Ghanem Al-Muftah as the ambassador for the FIFA World Cup 2022 is a positive step towards building a more inclusive and equitable society that respects and values the contributions of all individuals, regardless of their physical and mental abilities.

    1. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the importance of promoting equality and inclusivity, as well as the significance of working together towards common goals. The example you mentioned, with Ghanem Al-Muftah being selected as the ambassador for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, is indeed a powerful demonstration of inclusivity and the recognition of the unique perspectives and talents of individuals with disabilities.

When societies embrace equality and provide equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their physical or mental abilities, it leads to a more inclusive and cohesive society. By empowering individuals with special needs and showcasing their abilities, we challenge preconceived notions and break down barriers. This helps create a more accepting and understanding society, where everyone can participate and contribute based on their strengths and talents.

The notion of working together towards a common goal, as you mentioned, is essential for progress and development. When individuals see each other as equals, appreciating the diverse skills and perspectives they bring, it fosters collaboration, unity, and shared success. By recognizing the value of every individual and promoting equality, we can build stronger communities and work towards achieving positive change on a broader scale.

In summary, promoting equality and inclusivity not only benefits individuals with disabilities but also enriches society as a whole. It allows us to tap into the unique talents and perspectives of every individual and create a more harmonious and supportive environment. By working together and seeing each other as equals, we can overcome challenges, achieve common goals, and build a brighter future for all.

  • Working together is one of the best ways to achieve a common goal and it helps us to develop our country for there is this popular saying "Divided we fall, united we stand" meaning when we work together and see each other equal we are on our way to success and great achievements but when we see each other as one is higher or lower than others then we are on our way to chaos and destruction.

  • Good.
    Your words are wonderful.
equality between man and woman . Totally I agree though.
Why is it not always equal?
If we talk about the “hard” work of a man, is it obligatory for a woman to do it?
Do you want women to go to factories and do hard work?
Does a woman have to pay for household expenses?
In our society it is half for half, but women do not have to do that
Therefore, I do not think that equality between men and women is obligatory, but only with specific things.

    1. What things do you think equality applies to in this example terrific_apple?

      1. There are many.
        Home Business
        Child rearing
And home expenses to be half in our society.
        ..

  • You have good reasons on why equality has a very good impact on us because I didn't even realize that sports could have a major impact on nepotism. Sports can lead to many things but it can go beyond that. There are many things that we don't realize about things going on in the world and when we finally pay attention to it you can really see what is happening and how we can get affected by it.

    1. Thank you for your comment, it is true, and this is what Qatar showed by choosing a young man with special needs in the FIFA World Cup.
It demonstrated equality in front of the whole world in a practical way between healthy people and people with special needs by giving them their chance.
I hope that all countries will emulate the application of equality as Qatar did.

  • Promoting equality and inclusion in sport is crucial, as it sends a powerful message to the world about the values of respect, dignity and fairness. It also encourages everyone to participate in sports activities, regardless of their abilities, and promotes a culture of acceptance and understanding towards individuals with disabilities.

  • I strongly agree with you.
Working together, unity will overcome nepotism and we will have a peaceful and beautiful world with all people working and happy
