AI is not meant for schools - or is it?

AI is a very useful thing for us to use as it gives us information and facts we may not know. It can also help us with creating something we are not sure where to start on. However, I do not think that AI has a place in schools in the role of teacher or educator. One reason for this is that, as students, we prefer face to face teaching from a human because this is how we learn more. We need to see the person's emotions and their expressions to help us understand what they are teaching us. It will be harder to ask questions as the AI might not understand what we are asking or we might not know how to ask the right question. Also, students who need more support will not be able to get the support they need, for example, they can't help them put their ideas together and help with writing. Also, handwriting would end up being worse as we don't get to practice. Students who find communication diffucult may find it an easier way to learn but they also rely on other humans to learn how to react to different situations. Humans need another human to teach them because they need them to control the behaviour in a class, as AI will not be able to do this. This means lessons will be less calm and students will not learn. Although an adult is in the room, there are few adults who would want to be employed to sit and monitor behaviour while AI teaches the class.
Another issue with AI is that it would need to rely on wifi and a good connection. If this is not maintained or schools are not able to afford to upgrade their systems, there will be issue with the AI working all the time. This would mean that learning is not consistent so students will be worse off.
All in all, I think that AI has a place in schools as a support but I do not think that AI is something that should be taking over education as we all need to work with other humans as this prepares us for work in the furture and we are creatures who like the company of other humans. Therefore, I think AI should be used as a tool and not as the only educating device.
