#9 - Time-Travel Challenge - Winners Announced!

What a range of inspiration quotes this week! It's been a pleasure to read them and incredibly hard to pick a winner.
Stars have been awarded for original, thoughtful words and with a reason to back them up.
Our Primary winner this week is cheerful_photograph of The Sherwood School, who gave a bold quote that combined both celebration of achievement, and an instruction for the future.
Our Secondary winner is warm_guava of Faringdon who gave a simple but hugely effective quote that reflected the excitement of the world at the time.

50 years ago, Neil Armstrong became the first person to step onto the surface of the moon. On July 20 1969, over 600 million people around the world huddled around television sets for what was, and still is, one of the biggest moments ever recorded.
Armstrong's famous first words on the surface of the moon were "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
This week's challenge is to time-travel 50 years and imagine you are in Neil Armstrong's shoes as you are descending down the steps of Apollo 11.
Knowing that this will go down in history, with hundreds of millions watching now, and billions of people learning about this in future...
What would your first words on the moon have been and why?
This might be a phrase to represent your achievement, or the progress of the human race, or something to inspire people to follow in your footsteps. Or something else entirely! We can't wait to hear your thoughts.

My first words on the moon would be 'This is just the start' . This is my quote because it means going to the moon is just a start to a space revolution.

I chose these words because they are probably true. In hundred and hundreds of years time, Neil Armstrong, will STILL be the first man in the moon. There will never be another fist man in the moon, and while people may land on other Stars, planets and rocks, it will NEVER be remembered as Neil Armstrong's adventure was and is. Just in the same way you can never rewrite a book and claim it to be the original, you can never recreate the moment when Neil Armstrong took his first step...
My,first quote would be “I did this to prove all the misconceptions can be dealt with even in your life it is the case”it just proves you can change

"Well, that's one job done on the to-do list."
I would choose this phrase since there are any problems we need to solve. Who knows, we may need to visit as many planets as possible to see which is the most convenient. Since the amount of space junk is increasing, it is altering the planetary climate; this could mean Mars would not be inhabitable any more as the temperature may change to an uncomfortable level. Not to mention the mind-twisting method of how to find a suitable spacecraft to capsule approximately 8 billion people. There are also things to answer or discuss like: Would we be creating a new timeline after we settle in Mars? Will global warming reoccur on a new planet? Questions like that. Overall, this was the explanation of why I would choose my phrase.
My first words would be "I am the first but not the last"
I chose this quote because Neil Armstrong was the first but if we work and work. more peaple can go to space.
My first words on the Moon would have been "This is only the beginning,soon we will travel further out to another planet that's not Earth"
My first words on the moon would be 'This should be remembered not by the people; but by the things we have discovered'.This is because even though those people achieved we gained a lot more knowledge.

My first words as I stepped onto the moon would be "The beginning has begun the process of the end". I would say this because once something has started it can't go on forever and the end is just getting nearer and nearer. In a space sense it shows how we should research and try to understand space as much as we can before it's no longer becomes an option, either due to cost or environmental dangers or even circumstances so far in the future that we can't possibly predict them and stop them before they happen.
My first words, if I was Neil Armstrong, would be 'Nothing is impossible if you believe, no rocket is to big,no human is to small'. I would say this because I would be telling the people on earth who are watching me that everything is possible unless if you believe on yourself, because even the world impossible spells I'm possible (put an apostrophe between I and m and put a space after m).Also it tells people that it doesn't matter who you are or anything about you as long as you believe in yourself you can achieve anything.

" With one movement comes an even bigger one, one mankind is taking with me ". This means that with one movement of me in Neil Armstrong shoes, the whole world is taking a massive movement, landing on the moon.
My first words would be ' this is the beginning of the timeline, and more will come soon.'
I would say this once I stepped on the moon because he was the first-ever person to land on the moon and he was the beginning of the timeline as more people would start to develop to attempt to fly to the moon.
My First Words Would Be If I Was Just Climbing Down The Stairs Of Apollo 11.
"The Heavens I have truly stepped on." Because The heavens are basically Beyond the sky this word shows so much expression and when I think of it I just remember the space.
If I went to space my quote would be: "I didn't come here to win a race, I came to try." I would say this because it doesn't matter if you win or lose, trying is the only thing that matters. If you don't win, it is better than winning because you will learn from your mistake.
If I was Niel Armstrong , I would say that even though i was the first human on the moon, there were hundreds of people behind everything and that we shouldn't take that for granted

I have chosen these words because it is true; it is for all to see, not just Americans should be able to go to space. We have the ESA and other county’s have theirs, for example JAXA. And also I think everyone should be able to see this beautiful place because it can bring joy to people and increase imaginations of people all around the Earth.
My first words when I landed on the moon would be " We have come so far to get here ; however, we still have a long way to go". I would choose this because it shows that-although it is an amazing event to have happened and it should be remembered forever- there is still millions of places we could go, things we could discover in Space. Also, I chose this quote because it would inspire young people to become astronauts. This is because they would see what I had done and want to go into space and achieve something like that as well.
In conclusion, my first words on the moon would be " We have come so far to get here ; however, we still have a long way to go" because it would inspire children and shows are achievements and what is left to be achieved.
My first words would be this is just the beginning there is still more to come,. I said this because when Neil Armstrong landed it was the beginning of space travel but now we might be ready to go to infinity and beyond , and find more planets
The words I would use are "this is just the start of the extraordinary things we may accomplish" because, last recorded on the 13 June 2016" space was estimated to be around 93 billion light years in diameter, meaning there would be SO MUCH MORE to explore so it would infact be the start of something extraordinary and inconceivable!
If i was the first person to step on the moon , my first words would be " This a whole other world up here " because it would feel a lot different to how walking and talking is on Earth and because of how we have got somewhere in space.
My first words would have been: this moment will be remembered forever, the moment when mankind made its first imprints on the moon. I chose this because it's true and it is a memorable moment in history and years from when it was said, people will still remember it as the quote from when they got the first man on the moon. Even if people forgot who landed on the moon originally, the quote would have helped them remember. The part about when mankind made its first imprints on the moon says that even though it was one man on the moon the imprints were made by all of mankind.
My first words would be, ''A new vision of life has begun, starting with my own imprints on the moon, leading to many others.'' I would say this because discovering a new planet is very extraordinary, and no one would have even thought it was possible, this is why I have put a new vision of life. It also explains how life can be looked at in many other ways. I have put starting with my imprints on the moon, because I would be the first to step on the moon, and also put leading to many others because it is a start to a bigger accomplishment, with more people and more knowledge about the moon.

My first words could have been "just a leap to there". I think this because it inspires me when I say the phrase and it makes me feel of victory. It also makes me feel like I am The 80th person to do a hard-risking challenge. If I failed, I would still go up there for my life. It would also be like I am the one that did it myself, and when it says mankind, I would be the one!
If I was on the first person on the moon I would say "This first footprint will lead to an huge journey".

i had said this because when you go on the moon, your footprints are printed on the surface. the moon is made of dust and rocks, so it's gonna show them. if the moon was made out of hard concrete , it would show nothing!
"To Infinity, and beyond!". I know this may be copyright from toy story but I chose this quote because there are tonnes of planets to explore even outside the solar system e.g Proxima B. Not all planets have been discovered by just going there, some astronomers like Galileo Galilei discovered some planets using a telescope.

These would be my words if I were the first on the moon. Clearly, I think this phrase illustrates the positivity that it is amazing what we have achieved but space exploration still goes on and we will, from this day forward, do much more.

If I stepped on the moon I think that I would say “this is amazing” I would say this because I would have been the only person where no person had ever been before.

I may be jumping down to get to the moon but the whole of humanity is jumping up in success.

I would say this because we can only explore what we can imagine. If we simply cannot imagine it then we cannot explore it. As a space scientist would say, we can only get out of it what we put into it. Space is beyond our imagination.

I would say this because I would feel that we have gotten to the moon and that if we could do that, I would assume that we could almost do anything possible, very quickly. We had gotten from the first thing in space to a man on the moon in just 12 years and that surely we could do anything, for example Mars or Mercury and that it wouldn't take that much time for this time as we had developed so quickly already, that it should be within grasp.
My first words on the moon would be: "Wow! I wish the view was like this from Earth!"

My first words would be "its begun". My first reason is that a new discovery has been made and its a new adventure has started.Today many discoveries have been made on the moon like new materials,and holiday destitions.This all started because of Neal Armstrong.

My first thoughts would be 'My first steps but a huge for mankind'. I chose these few words, although it is very similar to Neil Armstrong's, because it makes me think about how far our human race has come since 50 years ago. It makes me think about how modernised and advanced or lives are and that 50 years ago was the first time someone had been to the moon, now 12 people have walked on the moon.
I am adding on to my point earlier. I also think that these words make me feel move powerful in making more of an economical effect on my planet.

I would not have been selfish by promoting my self-dominance, instead I would promote the dominance of the entire human race, saying other thing like "this is a great day for humanity!" and "a world first achieved together".
Overall, I think that I would most likely say something to promote the overall power of nations combined. I am just glad I WASN'T in Armstrong's shoes, because i most likely would ave messed up in front of the whole world!
