Welcome to the first competition of Festival 2026!
Every Monday we’ll open a new competition and a junior and senior winner will be announced on Friday. If you win, you’ll get three stars and your entry will be pinned to the top of the discussion.
This week you’re exploring the Topical Talk student Hub. We want you to find out about the skills you'll need during the Festival and tell us which one you think will be most important and why.

Egypt is a very unique country known as the mother of the world. I believe that the most unique thing in Egypt is its food. Tourist from all the world come to Egypt to try the Kochari, Molokai and the greatest breakfast ever that consists of beans with spicy oil, fries and the hot Egyptian bread. It may be simple but actually it has a memorable and unforgettable taste. If you thought about desserts in Egypt, so congratulations, you came to the best place. There are a lot of desserts in Egypt such as Um Ali, Sawabe Zeinab, Basbosa and more. All of them will send you to the Moon from happiness.
Egypt is the queen of the food.
i think the most important skill will be listening to the thoughts of people in my class and in the world as to learn more about twhat they are saying to the world
yes I agree with this opinion cause listening to other people's idea helps in interaction and and motivation. it also allows us the students learn more than we already know.
I think that all four skills are very important for the festival, I think listening hepls us to get the information properly, Speaking skill helps in expressing our views, problem solving helps in repling wisely to the questions asked, finally creativity helps in expressing our views or solution's creatively
The most important thing to do this festival is to listen and make good comments about the topic. The reason why is because without comments there will be no stars and no stars means no awards. Listening to the point of the topic helps you to understand what it is all about and it helps in making good comments and to have likes and stars. If we are given the opportunity to communicate it doesn't mean that we can turn it into a play and make pointless points but instead we should brainstorm on how make the world a better place for everyone. I think this skills are important during this festival to help people understand what we are here for and continue to put efforts into helping people.

The most important skiil will be creativity ; because it will keep us busy and we will be able to make out beautiful things for the festiva
It's true, but it is not the richest country. Students ideas can help us learn more about this topic and encourage us learn more for our studies.
I think the most important skill will be creativity. I think this will be important during the festival because if you are creative you will be able to solve problems 👌.

Knowledge is the ability of an individual to acquire a skill. Without the use of knowledge an individual is not able to know what to do, for example an individual able to problem solve and critically think. Thank you.

I think that creativity covers it all because ,when an individual is able to create ideas it would go a long way in helping to solve global problems and when one shows creative skills it helps solve problems and it has already cover up for the problem solving skills. A creative mind listens in order to get ideas and produce useful ideas suitable for the festival
In my opinion, the most important skill will be problem solving and creativity. Because all the topics in this festival discuss about real world problems and it do not have any simple answers. So, problem solving skill is used to analyse the issue, do some research and suggest appropriate solutions.
And without creativity, everyone repeats the same points. So, thinking creatively helps us to think in different perspectives and come up with new ideas.
In my opinion, problem solving and creativity is more important than speaking and listening because leaders don't just talk, they brainstorms and suggests meaningful solutions.
I think the most important skill will be problem solving since it is a requirement for human development. Think about it. It's vital for analyzing situations, weighing scenarios. When you consider different points of views, that is problem solving. Innovation is built on finding solutions for existing problems. Everything in life can be considered a 'problem' how you go about solving it is what really elevates you.
I think that listening will turn out to be the most valuable skill for me.
I believe that this will prove valuable in the Festival as relevant speeches not just relate to effective speaking, but also relate to comprehension and deep understanding of others as well. With deep understanding, people will be able to understand various opinions, cultures, and even emotions in every topic being discussed. Through active listening, people will also be able to react and answer correctly, without causing misunderstandings as well. Listening also shows that people value the opinions of others and can pave the way for valuable and deeper discussions, which can also make the Festival valuable without having to spend beyond their budget.
