AI in the Healthcare!

This post was written by a student. It has not been fact checked or edited.

One of the most exciting developments in Healthcare of recent years is the rise of artificial intelligence. AI can be revolutionary and literally life changing in the health system.

Firstly, it is important to note that AI does not necessarily mean that robots will replace doctors or surgeons. But it can improve health professionalism in terms of accuracy and diagnosis. Furthermore, it can increase errors and keep faster medical records. With that way, I believe that illnesses that are slowly detected with AI they can be found faster and easier.

All these can help doctors to get crucial treatment as quickly as possible. It will also allow doctors to spend more time face to face with patients as their workload will be decreased, especially in busy city hospitals. It will be a relief for them to have more personal time with the patients .We should also note that a lot of funding is invested in technology such as robots assisting surgeries. This is one of the best technological advances in our world as difficult surgeries can be made with accuracy. But for me the most important is the use of AI in disabled people which provides them with the hope of feeling normal.

Even if it seems so promising the AI revolution in Healthcare, I believe that technology alone cannot be the only service provided. Social changes, legislations, investments, collaboration between industries will need to be implemented in order AI to thrive

  • I agree with your point and I also believe that AI would assist the doctors in finding solutions to some illnesses that are very difficult to treat. With the use of AI in the healthcare sector doctors could be able to find diagnosis that is very difficult to get all a treatment to an illness that takes a very long time. This could help in a positive way because doctors will be able to find solutions in a very short time

    1. I agree with polite_king because AI can do some things that doctors can not do in hospital but one disadvantage of having AI as doctors in healthcare is that if the people do not programed AI well, it may malfunction and cause of harm to people.
      THANK YOU!!!

  • I think that AI in health care is very good but there is also a bad side about it what if you were,
In the middle of doing something really important like If AI had machines for surgery,
And your were operating on the heart and there was a glitch something really dangerous can happen so I think AI should only be used in less harmful stuff like it is very good for finding information so if you used it for finding out diseases it would be very helpful and for finding the right medication so I think it is very useful but it should not go to much further or it will go very out of hand and people will loose their jobs over AI

  • I think is an ok idea but AI needs to advance more as it's not always correct so I think for the time being we should just leave it to the doctors as they know what there doing and if we add AI it can cause more sickness and death as it's not always right.

    1. I solidly agree with you on your opinion because better upgrade of AI will bring the best operation of AI machines in the the sense that when AI robots and machines is been upgraded in health field, it is going to work more efficient without any mistake.
AI is going to be very effective in work if only responsible experienced doctors or medical personnels program them because it will be operating exactly how it is been programmer.
The field that will not do well is in terms of administering drugs to patience or attending to them because it doesn't share emotions with humans and it's inability to understand Patience's problems or health issues.
In conclusion, I think AI will be good in medical aspect but you matter how effective they are, there should be humans supervisions in every in everything task they perform.
      Thanks.

  • I believe that AI will not be able to take over the role of doctor because if they don't treat a wound well enough they can get infections.

    1. I agree with you charismatic cicada because an AI will not be able to take over the role of a doctor. I say this because even though AI can do the work faster but i feel that a human can do it better. when it comes to operations, surgeries and sommore, the human could use both the AI and their intellectual capability to ensure that they get a good result.

  • In my opinion AI don't get sick but can be damaged and also the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare has been groundbreaking, reshaping the way we know, treat and monitor patients. This technology is drastically improving healthcare research and outcomes by producing more accurate diagnoses and enabling more personalized treatments and also it can help us cure diseases such as lung cancer that even our doctors took a lot of time before finding the cure.
