I partially agree with you, when you said that immigration offers people various opportunities and better lifestyle in comparison, and so there is a need for people to immigrate and leave their own country. Now, this immigration can be legal or illegal because some countries do require some people and they don't want certain group of people to come and stay in their country. In such a case, when people have no options left, they have to migrate illegally.
I disagree with your point, that there is no requirement of immigration. This is because immigration offers people jobs and it even it can raise economy of a country. Secondly, people (which do not face any issues in their country) also immigrate to learn new things or explore different cultures and visit some extensive beautiful places of a country, and according to me, it is not at all bad, this gives people a wider perspective about things.
