  • The topic that made me think the most was International aid: what’s the best way? Because it really challenged me to reconsider the complexities of global support and how aid can actually shape or hinder progress. Initially, I thought that aid was straightforward helping countries in need, especially during crises, seemed like an obvious solution. But through the discussions and the comments from other students, I realized there are so many factors that complicate this process.
For example, many countries still face serious challenges despite receiving international aid for decades. This made me question whether aid is truly addressing the root causes of poverty or if it’s just a temporary solution.

Additionally, I thought about whether aid is really helping in a sustainable way, or if it’s creating dependency, where countries rely on external support rather than building their own capacity to address issues. The question of what constitutes "effective aid" really made me think should aid focus on immediate disaster relief, long-term infrastructure development, education, or climate resilience?

Ultimately, this topic made me realize that aid should be part of a more comprehensive strategy for development, one that includes empowering local communities and fostering long-term sustainability. It made me rethink what true global responsibility looks like, and how the international community can work together more effectively to solve these ongoing challenges.

  • The topic that made me think the most was NATO: friends forever.

At first, I thought that NATO was just a group of militaries, but after the talk, I learned that it is more than that. It is a symbol of trust, responsibility, and making sure that everyone is safe. Their decisions are based on how they can help other members, not just themselves. The part that caught my attention the most was Article 5, which stated that an attack on a member is an attack on all. This shows how committed they are and how security is better when they all work together.

The real-life scenario that made me think about it more was when NATO reacted to the Ukraine crisis. Ukraine is not a member, but they still helped them. They had to decide how much help they should give, which showed that even they need planning, compromise, and constant talking. Article 5 made me think about how much trust there is between them. They know that they have each other’s back, which makes them secure, but it also makes me think about how much responsibility they have.

The topic made me think the most because it showed me that it is not just about making sure that we are safe, but it is also about how we can help others while making sure that we are safe too.

  • The lesson i think i think the most is lowering the voting age because that is the most important one and that one was my favourite one we did .

  • I think lowering the voting age is most important so then they could most likely pick the best leader for us and might choose a leader that won’t start a war against other country’s and make us all live in peace and no one will die by war and have more time with friends family and grand children and won’t leave them and stay with them until you die by old age

    1. Why do you think that lowering the voting age will result in picking the "best leader"?

      1. I think lowering the voting age could indeed help pick a better leader as you would have more of peoples opinion, although some people under the voting age may just pick one not knowing the consequences adults over the voting age can do that as well so age doesn't matter it depends on who the person is.

  • I chose lowering the voting age because at first I was thinking if 16-17 year olds should be able to vote but then I thought of my family and friends and then I thought of my cousin and all of her friends and what they all do in there life together and they really are not sensible so I thought that the voting age should say the same.

  • The topic that made me think the most was lowering the voting age. It pushed me to consider how political awareness is shaped across generations and how opinions are often influenced by family beliefs and social media. I started thinking about the generational chain — how ideas, biases, and values are passed down — and whether younger voters would simply repeat those patterns or challenge them. At the same time, the issue of misinformation made the debate even more complex. Young people are highly exposed to online content, which can both educate and mislead them. This topic forced me to think beyond just “yes” or “no” and really question whether readiness to vote depends on age, education, critical thinking skills, or access to reliable information.

    1. I agree because lowering the voting age made me think deep on how young people will have a say in who will lead the country but it has effects cause some young think voting is a competition or its about fun . Because lots of young people are not trained well about voting some don't actually think critically, some don't even have access to quality or true information and some people post things that did not happen, they do it for fun or because they are idle or even to make some people think negatively or to change their minds. Some politicians could go to villages , towns ,and communities to give them bribes so they will be voted social media has made lots of people to change their minds and even the issue of misinformation . The spread of fake news may lead to profound consequences and voters manipulation and even personal consequences .
And if there are spread of misinformation it may lead to voting the wrong person, voting the wrong person might lead to hardship and even corruption in the country.

  • The topic that some how made me ruminate so much about how our world can be upgraded or be more comfortable for people to live was NATO friends this topic made students think about what can a country have so makes it the best or defending other countries problem this was all about my favorite and essential topic topical Talk opened a discussion about it

  • The topic which made me think the most is... International Aid. I learned about the positive and negative uses of aid.

For the positive: Aid can be used to help countries after disasters or during wars. For instance, during the war in Palestine, people there needed lots of help and supplies so Egypt sent many giant trucks to help them.

But on the other hand, there are negative things: countries may send aid just to be a name on every tongue or they might send it to build a friendship , which is good for them but maybe not the best for the receiver. This is often called soft power. It is a bit like a student sharing their snacks only because they want everyone to think they are the coolest person in class not just because they are hungry.

If there are positive things, then there must be a negative thing. Nothing is perfect. Personally, I think it is better to send aid for important conflicts only, not just anytime and in any place. In Egypt, it is a tradition and a religious act to send food and support to poor people during Ramadan. This is a lot like aid so I was happy to share that. 🙃

    bye 👋🏻
Hope you have a wonderful day!!!

  • The topic that made me think the most was lowering the voting age. I found it super interesting to read people's different opinions and how viewpoints change depending on your age. Although for the moment I still defend my initial opinion that the voting age should not be lowered, nobody knows what will happen in the future with young people and their rights. Even the smallest and most insignificant decision is important for a country to work properly, and this is a great responsibility for politicians and governments.

  • I strongly believe Topical Talk should be compulsory in every school. In the lesson about lowering the voting age, we explored how countries like Austria allow citizens to vote at 16 in national elections. Learning this surprised me and made me realise that young people can take responsibility when they are trusted. We examined evidence, discussed different perspectives, and practised respectful disagreement. Research from the Education Endowment Foundation shows that structured classroom discussion improves critical thinking and communication skills. Some people might argue that these topics are too political for 13-year-olds or that schools should focus only on exams. However, understanding real-world issues does not divide us — it prepares us. Topical Talk helps students become informed, thoughtful, and confident citizens in a rapidly changing world.

  • The topic that impress me the most is The International Aid, because, if a struggling country does not have good aid supply the citizens will not be able to live well. For example a country has very limited healthcare services, and women and children need medical supply urgently. how will they survive for a long time? Having a donor country giving supply of AID will prevent a lot of death. This is the reason i chosse The International Aid.
    Thank You

  • 6The topic that made me think the most was Lowering the voting age. It made me consider questions about responsibility, fairness, and how young people can influence society. We discussed whether 16- and 17-year-olds have enough knowledge and maturity to vote, and I had to weigh both sides carefully. Some argued it would be unfair to let younger teens decide on complex issues, while others pointed out that many are already informed and affected by political decisions. Thinking through these arguments helped me understand how important it is to balance rights with responsibility, and how critical thinking shapes real-world decisions.

  • In my opinion, the topic that made me think the most was “International aid: what’s the best way?”This topic really challenged my thinking because helping other countries sounds simple, but in reality it is very complex. At first, I believed that sending money was always the best solution. However, after thinking more deeply, I realized that money alone cannot solve long-term problems like poverty, unemployment, and weak education systems.
I started to consider that effective aid should focus on long-term development. For example, investing in education can give people skills for better jobs. Improving healthcare can make communities stronger and more productive. Supporting small businesses can help countries grow economically instead of depending on aid forever.Another important question that came to my mind is whether international aid sometimes creates dependence. If countries rely too much on external support, they might struggle to build strong local systems. That made me think that the best kind of aid is the one that empowers people and helps them become independent. What makes this topic so powerful is that it connects economics, ethics, and global responsibility. It made me think not only about how to help, but also about how to help in the right way. That is why this topic stood out to me the most.
    thank you topical talkers 🌹

    1. I agree with you, this is one topic that also made me think the most. Yes giving money is a short term plan, while cash is important for emergency like diasaters, transferring skills and knowledge is very important. Training can be organised for human capacity building, those countries who need aid should be allowed to compete fairy in the global market, high taxes on imports can be removed so local business can grow, infrastures that allow those countries who need aid to connect to global economy should be built.

  • International aid made me think the most because it is very complicated and there are so many factors to think about. It was also my favourite because it is very reliant on what is happening in the real world and it expanded my thinking and taught me new interesting things.

  • The topic that made me think the most was international aid because I never thought that giving aid and helping people could come with so many problems like corruption, competition, inefficient aid, dependency and I didn't even know what it was before.I never knew that aid could be so problematic and helpful at the same time. I found it interesting because of the fact that helping others almost comes at a price and cost, which I didn't think would be a thing considering that international aid is supposed to help others. I found it interesting how donor Governments,NGOs and local communities play a role in international aid and how each can make an impact either negatively and positively on the country that provides the aid or receives it.

It made me think deeply about how we as the younger generation could help aid to be more effective and how we can solve all the problems that come with international aid.

It really made me think about donor countries and how they can pick and choose which country to give aid to just so that they could make trade deals and better their own economy rather than the the country that is receiving aid. I felt that this was unfair and because of that I have done so much research and learned so much about something I didn't even know ,myself was interested in! I learnt about how governments still want to help countries but only sometimes if they can benefit from it and that's what I found really interesting because aid shouldn't be supposed to benefit you,it should be to support the country you are giving aid to. This is only my opinion though.

  • I chose Lowering the voting age because it really made me question what “being ready” actually means.

On one hand, teenagers today are more aware than ever. We follow news, discuss politics on social media, and we’re directly affected by decisions about education, climate change, job opportunities and more. If these policies shape our future, it feels fair that we should have a voice in choosing who makes them.

At the same time, voting isn’t just about having opinions it’s about understanding consequences. Some young people may still be strongly influenced by family or online trends. So the real issue isn’t just age, but maturity and civic awareness.

For me, this topic stood out because it’s not a simple yes or no. It made me think about the balance between giving young people a voice and making sure they’re prepared to use it responsibly.

    1. I agree because lowering the voting age could be hard and confusing at the same especially when it comes to this topic, should 16 years be allowed to choose their leaders? One question in my mind is does 16 years really want to vote or they just stay neutral when it time for election?
I know that if a 16 years were to vote it would not only improve the country's election system, they will have more experience as times goes but has anybody asked them what they really want?
Another question I want to ask is that will it be safe for them to come out and vote? Especially when I look at the way voting and election is done in certain parts of my country. Well, in my opinion it is okay for the age to be lowered and also okay for them to vote, I think they should also put protective measures in places where politics might be played a little bit dirty.
      Thank You.

    2. I agree because teenagers are on social media more so they are aware about whats going on in the world and how to stay safe.

    3. Interesting point, but I respectfully disagree. While maturity and civic awareness are important, I don’t think lowering the voting age alone addresses the deeper problems young people face. Many of the challenges mentioned—education quality, climate issues, and job opportunities—are global problems that often require cooperation beyond national politics.
In my view, stronger international aid and global collaboration can have a much bigger impact. Support between countries can improve education systems, fund climate solutions, and create opportunities for young people everywhere, not just through voting but through real resources and programs.
So the real question might not only be who gets to vote, but how countries work together to support the next generation in meaningful ways.
      thank you topical talkers 🌹

  • The topic that made me think the most was International aid. I find this topic the most interesting and I am the most passionate about this topic. I find that this topic isn't black or white and can very easily be argued from many different view points and we have to take lots of things into consideration - like what the funding is for, is it for a crisis? Who is deciding (the Country giving the aid or the community receiving it)? Who we think should be deciding etc.

Most of the time I find that with this topic there should be balances between who decides where the aid goes because the country giving the international aid doesn't want it going to waste and the country receiving the aid wants the aid to be useful instead of it going to things that they don’t need. Often outsiders don’t know what the people who they are giving aid to really need. They can interrupt a situation differently to what is happening during a crisis in another part of the world.

Through this Topical Talk I learnt that International Aid covers a lot more than healthcare and can be seen through different ideas and should be handled differently in different situations.

  • The topic that made me think the most was Lowing the Voting Ages because ,it talks about how the voting Ages can lower and that can help get more votes.

  • One topic that really got me thinking is the topic on NATO forever friends. I was never familiar with that type of group, and I personally thought that group could only be in relation to countries coming together and being each other's keeper, not knowing that I can apply it in my daily relationship with other people. So basically that topic helped me to realise that I can't really do anything on my own but with the help of people that I can trust.

  • The topic that made me think the most was the Winter Games: Technology or Talent? I said this because for this topic you have to think really hard for reasons why the item or movement is technology or if it's just talent. And because I'm part of the group that's not really into sports, I wouldn't really be keen on this topic which is why I'd have to think about the comments that I've heard and the sports that I have seen and watched. This topic also made me think about reasons for my answer to back it up and once again I'm not keen in sports so I wouldn't have known what to say.I also don't know many equipments for each sport and what they do. Those are the reasons why Winter Games: Technology or Talent was the one that made me think.

  • The topic that made me think the most was international aid and the question of what the best way to help countries truly is. At first, I thought aid was always positive because it provides food, medicine, and money to people who are suffering. It seemed simple: richer countries help poorer countries, and problems are solved. However, after learning more and discussing it in class, I realized the situation is much more complex.
I began to understand that while international aid can save lives during emergencies such as natural disasters or conflicts, it can also create long-term challenges. If countries depend too much on outside help, they may struggle to develop their own industries, businesses, and systems. This made me question whether short-term support is always the best solution. I started thinking about the importance of sustainable development instead of temporary relief.
The topic also made me reflect on fairness and responsibility. Should wealthy nations feel morally obligated to help others? And how can they provide support without controlling or influencing the receiving country? These questions do not have easy answers, which is why this topic stayed in my mind even after the lesson ended.
Overall, international aid made me think deeply about global inequality, independence, and long-term growth. It changed my perspective and helped me realize that helping others is not just about giving resources, but about empowering people to build strong and independent futures for themselves.

  • The topic which made me think the most is lowering the voting age.

  • The topic that made me think the most is “Lowering the Voting Age".This issue deeply attracts my attention because it is not merely about changing a rule; it is about trust, responsibility, and the future pf democracy.

Firstly, allowing 16 or 17 - year olds to vote would give young people a direct role in the shaping national policies. In today's world, teenagers are more informed than ever before due to technology and access to information. They actively engage in discussions about climate change, education, human rights, and social issues. Therefore, ignoring their voices may weaken the spirit of democracy.

Secondly, this topic makes me question whether maturity truly depends only on age. Some adults fail to make wise decisions, while some teenagers show remarkable understanding and awareness. So,should age be the only standard fore determining voting rights?

However,it is also true that younger people may be more emotionally driven and easily influenced. For this reason,if the Voting age is lowered, proper civic education must be ensured to prepare them responsibly.

In conclusion, this topic makes me think the most because it challenge our perception of youth capability and democratic inclusion.Trusting young people ultimately means trusting the future of a nation.

  • The topic that made me think the most was “Lowering The Voting Age” because it made me think what responsibility and maturity really means.

In today’s world many teenagers discuss political votes while watching the news, social media and family discussions. Political votes can affect children’s daily lives with changes in, education, hospitals, job opportunities, climate change and global warming. If these changes like climate change, are going to affect them longer than older generations.
These types of policies will make people think if teenagers should really have a say in politics.
On the other hand, teenagers can be rather forced or persuaded into voting what their parents or close associates vote.

For me, this topic caught my eye because it’s not just a factual question with one answer, but rather a subjective question based on personal thinking.

  • The Winter Games topic made me think the most. It was the hardest because I kept changing my mind while trying to decide whether technology actually levels the playing field or just gives richer countries an advantage. On one hand, tech like better training tools, safety equipment, and adaptive gear makes sport more accessible and can help athletes reach their full potential. On the other hand, some sports are so expensive and high-tech that athletes with less funding can’t compete on equal terms. I found myself going back and forth a lot, weighing talent versus technology, and thinking about what really makes a record or performance impressive. It made me realise that the answer isn’t simple and that both sides have strong points.

  • The topic that made me think the most is lowering the voting age because there are so many arguments and topics to consider in this talk.because some may say lowering the voting age would benefit because we give younger people the chance to develop our country and give younger minds a say in the way our goverment works.Others say that age is only a number in this conversastion and that its all about maturity but my argument to this question is have we really made our young people mature with the way we educate them and how much authority the education system gives ???Teenagers are not taught any kind of authority in a young age so basically their first time having this type of power is in the elections so its logical that they wont know how to have a proper way of thought and strategy to who and how to vote but it doesnt necessarily mean it will never happen but we should change some things in education so young people have the maturity to vote because they had done it before. The part that forbiddens and goes against lowering the voting age is the fact that teenage crime rates have been skyrocketing in the past few years and violence between young people is higher than ever so should we really let this people change the future of a country and deciede who leads it ???

  • The topic that made me think was about the voting age,for me it sounds like a very difficult decision. You need to find a voting age limit that is asserted by most people fair enough but also safe enough because many young people might not understand the topics they are voting for and not fully understand about what exactly they are voting for.
Thats why some countries still have their voting age at least 18 years old to be able to vote.Still, there are some countries that lowered their voting age to 16.I believe there shouldnt be having the same voting age in every country because every country has their own problems and the teens there might have different level of maturity. For examle, there are 2 kids both 16 one might be mentally older than the other. As a result, the mentally older one might be voting something more appropriate and beneficial for them

  • I think the topic that made me think the most was International aid: what is the best way? because it made me rethink how aid shapes or hinders progress like you said excited_ rainforest. And again it gave me a full explanation on USAID and its significance in the real world. As I thought about it, I began to think about what positive and negative aid is about.
positive aid: this is sending aid after wars and disaster.
negative aid: this is when they give aid so they will be rewarded
It got me thinking why would people want to be rewarded when they give aid that is supposed to be of benefit to a group in need. Why would a set of people hoard what has been given for the common good of the community? Where do we draw the line in our quest to provide aid? These and many more have been going through my mind, and I hope it is something we will be able talk about some more.

  • The topic that make me think the most is international aid:what's the best way? Because it really make me think about that and it is very important.I think is necessary that people comment in all those questions you made and for me the most important question is if aid should going anly for citizens of that country or for those who are suffering from other countries.
Also made me think that giving aid to other countries does not need to be always good and it can bring some problems with poderous countries.

  • The topic that made me think the most was Voting age, because some countries think is better or a good idea to have young people voting, but also there are other countries that think the opposite, I though is a bad idea to have young people voting bcause young people don't have the best/appropiate knowledge for voting, also they're not interesting on voting and young people are easly to influence with social media...so it could be harmful fot the country.

  • The topic that made me think the most was the winter games. Sport is one subject but is tech making it more interesting?
I personally think it does not because take the Winter Olympics for example, whoever wants to watch it they watch for talent and to see how hard they work to take part in a big event like the Olympics. Lets travel back a few years, Jorri Bergsma won the 2022 Bejjing Olympics for talent. Now come back to 2026 , people are winning for AI and technology. I understand that music can help and heart rate apps and technology like that but some people are using apps to cheat because they tell them what shoes to wear, what drinks to have and what to have to be prepared.
Back in 2022 or a few years before that, we did have AI but we didnt use it for sport. Some people i know use technology but its not anything extreme, its just some motivation music and heart rate apps.
I know that people will disagree with me but this is my opinion and i totally agree that other people can have opinions.
    Bye Topical Talkers!

  • The topic that made me think the most is Winter Games: talent or technology? especially during the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics and Topical Talk Festival discussions.
Tech (high-tech skis, AI replays, data-tracking suits, AR training) pushes performance and safety, but it risks unfair advantages for richer nations/teams who can afford better gear and analytics. This turns elite sport into a contest of resources rather than pure human skill, grit, and training.
Talent remains the heart the thrill comes from watching athletes master physics through sheer ability. Yet modern winter sports demand tech without it, top level competition is impossible.
The deepest question: How do we balance innovation with fairness? Strict regulations on equipment and more shared tech could help, so success feels earned, not engineered.

  • The topic that made me think the most was “International aid: what’s the best way?”

This topic made me think deeply because it is not simple to decide who should control aid money. At first, I thought donor countries should decide, since they provide the funds. But after discussion, I realised that local communities understand their own needs better. It made me question what is more important: control or understanding? I also started thinking about fairness, responsibility and trust between countries. This topic challenged my first opinion and helped me see both sides clearly, which is why it made me think the most.

  • Because I wasn't as familiar with current international aid policies, I had to work harder and think more about their relevance in today's society. Luckily, I learned quite a lot from peers, classes, and key voices. Through the Festival, I have learned how to find reliable sources, cite accurately, and justify my stance with an openness for critiques. This is an important lesson I will take into the future.

  • The topic that made me think the most was international aid and NATO because I didn’t know a lot about these topics, so it was more difficult for me than the other topics. However, when we explained the topic in class, I understood it better and learned more about it. At first, I wasn’t really interested in this topic, but when I found more information about it, I started to understand it better.

On the other hand, the topic that I understood best was lowering the voting age. Because I was interested in this topic, I made a lot of comments and shared my opinions.

All in all, I think that if you learn more about a topic, it won’t be as difficult as you think and it will help you to understand it better and will improve your knowledge

  • I loved to Winter Games because it was a lot of fun Building the planes and learned a lot about different Sports and the Story about them. It was a lot of fun

  • I think the Winter games were very interesting because u learnd a lot and also had a lot of fun because of the questions u had to answer to move ur paperplane forwoard

  • The topic that made me the Most think was Nato Friends forever. I think in this time ist is very important to have Friends with much weapons for the emergancy. Also it is important to have a good army you See in the Ukraine war that Europe should have a good army

  • I am think the most about the Winter Games. I think it is more talant then Technology. Because when you dont can Ski very well, a good Ski dosent helps. Also the most of the teams have many good mechanics which make the Skis very good. Whithout good technology the sport dose not improve very well.
    What think you.

  • I loved the topic about the Nato ,because I learned more about politics

  • the topic that made me think the most is winter technology. because you have to think about it deeply. its fair for some people but unfair for others. despite people using technology, some others are actually using their full ability. because in class we did the bean bag game where you stand in the hoop then try throw . people with long legs or are really tall get a higher advantage but smaller people get a disadvantage we eventually got closer and closer but taller people could climb longer so really its hard to think about it deeply.

  • Actually, the topic that has made me think a lot was "Winter Games: Technology or Talent" because it has really challenged me on how I view sports. Before this topic, I thought that there was no comparison to be done between athletes with technology and athletes; without it. This topic has made me realize that technology plays important roles in sports. It also helped me understand that technology is not greater than talent but can be used to developed talent through training and hard work. Despite the existence of technology, most of the work still depends on the passion that the athlete has for the sports and his/her willingness to do his best.

  • I thought about the NATO Friends Forever theme the most. It‘s crazy what‘s going on right now. But discussing about alliances and the problems who are part of them helped me understand it better. Now I know what can be dangerous in an alliance and Why they are so important. I also liked the talk about the Winter Games and Technology. In this lesson I liked our discussions about sports and technology. It was interesting to think about the two sides of opinion you can have, while talking about sports and technology.

  • The topic that made me think the most is NATO: friends forever. I think this is because before I had a very firm belief that alliances could only be beneficial. However, after the lesson we had in class I started thinking more deeply about it. We always think about alliances that stand out, that we are part of, but what about alliances that don't necessarily have a name, but exist to support tyranny? For example, some countries that we do not consider to be democracies support each other economically and militarily, like for example Venezuela is supported by Russia and Iran and China. And history also shows us that alliances can be competitive, which could lead to a military conflict like wolrd war one.

As I've been following the news about the recent war in Iran, I've also been thinking about how countries like Spain and UK reacted to it and how difficult it must be to have to choose between what you consider to be the rule of law and your duty to your allies. Again, recent events have contributed to my process of rethinking things.

  • I choose: NATO: friends forever.

Have you ever wondered how countries can be like big friends who promise to protect each other? That’s what NATO does, and that’s why this topic made me think the most.

I read on Wikipedia that NATO’s Article 5 has only been used once, after the 9/11 attacks in 2001, when all member countries agreed to help fight terrorism. That made me think about how trust is very important; countries really have to mean it when they say we’ll protect you.

NATO also made me think because it has to respond to real-world problems, like when Russia took over Crimea in 2014. NATO countries supported Ukraine and strengthened their defenses in nearby countries. This shows that being allies isn’t easy; countries have to work together, make tough decisions, and sometimes even disagree.

What makes NATO the most interesting to me is how it balances peace, freedom, and trust. It’s like trying to keep a big group of friends together when everyone thinks differently but still wants to help each other.

After learning all this, I can’t help but ask:

If NATO promises to protect everyone, what should it do when allies don’t agree on the best choice?

Is it better to spend more on defence or focus more on diplomacy and peace?

Could NATO help prevent war before something bad happens, not just respond after it happens?

  • Some people think that the voting age should remain the same, as young people may not have enough experience in the political field. However, we think that if the voting age is lowered, young people may have the opportunity to express their views on issues that concern their future, such as climate change, education, and technology. Young people today have more information than ever, thanks to the news and the internet. If they have the right to vote, they may become responsible members of society, making the government listen to their voices. Therefore, the voting age should be lowered.

  • Lowering the voting age
The topic that made me think the most was lowering the voting age. It made me consider whether 16-year-olds are ready to make important decisions in elections. I thought about the different arguments, like how some people believe teenagers are informed and should have a say in their future, while others think they might not have enough experience yet. It made me reflect on how voting affects democracy and whether giving younger people the vote would improve it or just change how campaigns target voters. This topic made me think carefully about fairness, responsibility, and how democracy should work.

  • I said the winter games because it was very difficult to get my point across as many people think technology isn’t considered cheating (I thought it was because enhancing your natural skill isn’t natural anymore). I did think for the others too (of course) because if I didn’t it would mean I have no chance of getting stars.

We didn’t do the nato lesson so even though what I said above, I obviously didn’t think about it because we weren’t taught about it. I did do the quiz on the topic but guessed for most of it as I didn’t have the knowledge and education for it.

I loved lowering the voting age and so therefore I made a standpoint on it. I definitely thought about it most considering that was the time I made most of my comments, just to prove my point and share my opinion. I made a lot of comments during that time and so I put the most thought into it. Definitely my favourite, and would recommend next year.

We did do the the international aid lesson but it was difficult to understand and comprehend because a lot of it was about countries working together and alliances. But considering I tried to understand it, that makes me think I put a lot of thought into that topic. I didn’t love this lesson but it was ok.

I really enjoyed the questions for the professionals, but at first I thought that like they’d reply, so I put thought into that. I enjoyed giving questions to the person that made the basketball game thing (I think) and the person that thought children should be allowed to vote from birth. I loved listening to other people’s opinions for different topics as well.

  • Hi topical talkers! From my sincere point of view, the topic that has stolen my mind since then was lowering the voting age. It wasn't about a topic, it was about a society's aspect that is usually ignored.
    Let me explain this:

For composing my comments, I always liked to read few researches and scientific reports to capture what I thought, but from an objective and fact-based perpective.
    And here it comes:
I read an article that said teenagers only obtained the news from social media, although, what it's even worse, they don't take a moment for verifying it. Resulting in a young society full of information, but misleading information.
This research doesn't just affect the topic we dealt in this platform abut going to elections and being able or not of exercising our right responsibly, it affects a whole society's point of view and situation.
We can't permit our generations fall in this mistake once again. We don't even do the bare minimun of watching news, reading reliable sources, we just settle for watching a fast reel from a suspicious account and that's all. Doesn't matter if it has non-verified content or not.
If we don't have information to believe in, we are a society easy to brainwash, manipulate and might be used as a puppet.
Do we really want to be rulers's and politician's game, or individuals full of critical thinking who follow their ideas, not other's?

  • In my personal opinion, I believe that the Winter games: technology or talent lesson made me think the most because sports in games are used worldwide and are really versatile being a subject that is at once very complex as well as a basic tool in life.
This topic made all our brains scratch because there are multiple different answers and reasons for responses like…
“Everyone should use technology in sports.”
This statement could be questioned with something like…
“What kind of technology? Does it matter?”

It also called out to me the most because the other topics are not as advanced as this one. Meaning, they have the choice of option either yes or no but the topic of the Winter Games allows children to enhance their own knowledge and imagination towards it.

I would also like to add my point of view on this subject. My first thoughts before the lesson were all around the place due to the fact that it wasn’t as described as the rest.I knew from the start in my own heart that the answer was no because sport is a hobby and subject that should be judged based on what the competitor is capable to achieve on their own without using technology. However, in my class it was hard to explain to people why because so many people thought yes and agreed to the statement.I had to think hard of how I could express my point of view and listen to others at the same time, making it a fair debate/discussion.

Overall, I had a wonderful time doing different lessons from Topical Talk and I know that I developed so much knowledge throughout this course. Thank so much Topical Talk. I ❤️ u.

  • The topic that made me think was winter games : talent or technology . Because, personally I don't have any idea or knowledge about sportsmanship, so this topic made me think deeply about how modern sports work .
Instead of only thinking about fairness , I started to wonder that if technology keeps improving does that mean we have to compare the ability of the technology or the athlete's ability , it becomes difficult to compare athletes from different generation because past athletes competed with limited technological support.

Secondly, I considered that technology should take over protection or for training or to measure strength because these matters lot to master a sport and to improve themselves but choosing the best ones was difficult.

Thirdly, if strategies are made ai generated or data driven strategies might influence athletes. If strategies made by AI, athletes might start relying more on technology rather than believing on their experience and developing the own strategy making skills.

Overall this topic made me to realise and think a lot that how sport should balance technology over human efforts . Technology plays a role and improves but it should not replace the human skill and abilities.

  • Hello everyone! The topic that made me think the most was " NATO: friends forever?", because it made me realise how much things may change with an alliance of a few countries.

I understood why the NATO was founded and how many countries are part of it; in fact, I liked that much the topic that I even search about information of it on my own!

I didn't understand why there were that much quantity of wars and tensions between countries until this topic appeared, so the penny dropped for me and nowadays I'm able to take into account all the perspective of each country.

I think this topic is really important because all the students should know something about our actual political situation.

  • According to me the topic that made me think the most was NATO: Friends Forever. It made me think about how countries work together to protect each other and keep peace. I started wondering whether alliances like NATO really make the world safer or if they sometimes create more tension between countries.

This topic also made me think about trust between nations. NATO members promise to defend each other, which sounds strong, but I wondered what would happen if a country did not want to get involved in a conflict. It made me realize that international relationships are complicated and require cooperation, responsibility, and shared values.

Overall, the topic made me think deeply about global security, cooperation between countries, and whether military alliances are the best way to maintain peace.
