As we all know, Elon Musk is a very successful and influential celebrity in or world and society today. Not only is he one of the richest men on the planet, but he is also extremely intelligent. This has helped him gain even more success in every single field of work he has participated in. If that is bilding cars, trying to successfully land on mars or beeing able to infiltrate and influence political debates. My question is, if it is morally correct to let a man with such power and success influce hole groups of society? Is it right to abuse his position in power the way that he has been? And why have not even more people spoken up about and against his actions? Obviously however is not the first man in power to do so. I am very interested to hear other people's opinions and thoughts.
Thank you.
I agree with your questions so much patient tree but, I also agree that Elon musk is a really strong and respected man so a small, tiny thing that he does like using his power against some people is not going to make people speak for this. Also Elon musk is a really smart man and he has marvelous and creative ideas like the idea of having a lot of companies so if a company went down he will still have tons of other companies and it will not make him down which is a smart idea in my opinion. Musk is also an influential person plus that he is rich which makes him really respected. Also being chosen by a President to be one of his advisers makes him even more respected by a lot of people and making him even more famous than he is. Also Ellen is so intelligent and each things he participates in probably doesn't let him down which is a successful thing to him and his work plus his social media especially on Twitter having 2 million or more people following you on Twitter makes you extremely really famous I'm making Ellen musk more famous than he is makes him even more intelligent and in my opinion, when Elon musk is more intelligent and famous this makes him even more respected and makes him excited to do even more and more to make him even more respected
Thanks for reading my comment typical talk and all the other students and also I'd like to hear all my friends' or admins opinions'
😊 Thank you 😊
My question for you is do you think that just because he is rich he is smart , or is he smart because he is rich ? Because in your comment you said that quote on quote ''He is also extremely intelligent .'' Did you know Elon musk actually didn't come up with the Tesla , Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning did .
you raise an interesting question, patient_tree -- but there is the possibility that there is not much connection between rich and smart. Some people get rich because they are lucky, or have family connections. Some brilliant people remain poor. It can be dangerous to assume that just because someone is rich, they have positive other characteristics ...
I do not think that Elon Musk is extraordinary smart. I think he was just lucky and investet in the right things. He also worked with people who pushed him. So yes at some point he is smart but I think he is mostly lucky.
I agree with you because it’s really important to think about how powerful people like Elon Musk use their influence. He has so much money and success, and with that comes a lot of power. But sometimes, it can be tricky when someone uses their power to push their own ideas or control things. For example, Elon Musk’s decisions with companies like Tesla or SpaceX affect a lot of people, and not everyone agrees with the way he does things. Some people think he pushes too hard for things that may not be good for the environment, while others believe he’s just trying to make the world better.
Also, when someone like him speaks out about politics or other big topics, it can feel like he’s using his fame to change people’s minds. That can be both good and bad. On one hand, he has the ability to bring attention to important issues, but on the other hand, he might not always be the best person to decide what’s best for everyone.
It’s not new, though, that people with power sometimes use it in ways that not everyone agrees with. Throughout history, there have been other powerful people who have used their positions to shape society in ways that might not have been the best for everyone. The tricky part is figuring out when it’s okay to listen to powerful people and when we should question their actions. That’s why it’s really important for everyone to speak up and make sure people in power are making decisions for the good of everyone, not just for themselves.
Can Elon Musk owning a social media platform like Twitter affect the freedom of people to share different opinions? And will the updates he made to the platform affect how posts are spread and seen?
Many people think that Elon Musk has made Twitter a place where people can share different opinions more freely. We hope that this is true and that the changes he made are not just for his own reasons or for politics.
Hello succinct ant!
Actually I don't use Twitter a lot but I heard some opinions that elon musk uses Twitter to say his opinions and I guess that he removes or bans the opinions that he doesn't like or against his words or even against elon musk himself. So I guess and I'm not sure that they remove these opinions but the opinions that it is okay for him or he doesn't even care he leaves at on Twitter.
Also most people think that Elon musk has invented Tesla but he actually brought the business.
Elon Musk is like a superhero , but instead of a cape,he wears a suit and drives electric cars. He's super rich and has over 200 million people following him on X ( which used to be Twitter). That means when he talks, millions of people hear him, like he has the loudest megaphone ever! People listen closely when he talks about his companies, like Tesla, which makes cool electric cars, and SpaceX,which builds rockets to take us to space . He's changed the world with big ideas, and that’s why he's so powerful.
But here's the thing: with all that power,Elon can make some big decisions. He's not just building cars or rockets-sometimes he talks about important stuff like world politics, too.
For example, he once shared a plan about the war in UKraine, and some people thought it was a good idea, while others didn't agree at all. It made everyone wonder:should one person have that much power to make huge decisions for the world?
Some people think it's a little too much for one person to have so much say. After all, when you're rich and have millions of followers, you can make a lot of noise.
But then again,Elon is really smart. He uses his power to talk about big problems, like climate change or how we can get to Mars. Maybe he can use all that influence for good, like getting people to care about saving the planet. If he uses his superpower to help others, maybe it's okay to let him have it.
The important thing is finding a balance.
So maybe, instead of telling him to stop talking,we need to make sure he uses his power in the best way. If he can make the world better with his ideas.
i've been watching the news and I have noticed an alarming thing that happened at Donald Trumps inauguration. Musk has been put into a position of power by president Trump. But, during his speech at the inauguration Musk did what looked like a third reich or Nazi salute which is very concerning, especially considering what president Trump and the rest of his party stand for.
Building onto what you have said artistic_orange, I believe we need to aknowledge the growing relevance Musk has in America right now. On social media and reports we have seen an increase in arguements against Elon for doing the third reich on live television and how many defend him saying its a roman salute. The 'roman' salute only came to be in the 1800 but it has been changed by dictators to form a more malitious symbol that should not be shown. This also is worse with what the Trump party want to do like taking away abortion rights and remove immigrants. We have seen this before and history is repeating itself with what Elon Musk is doing with the relevence he has in America right now.
what trump stands for? what does that mean? he's a politician with a back bone why is he being labeled as hitler, yes elon musk should not have done the salute but I don't believe he was doing it trying to say "hey look I am doing the salute" but I believe he showing his love for the american flag and people. But trump is not in anyway connected to the salute and is actually a decent shout for president definitely better than kamala harris since he's a president with a love for the american people and isn't a walking talking puppet that can be controlled he's someone that will take drastic action when it is needed rather than just sit in the shadows and do nothing at all.
You have some strong opinions here, glorious_signature. However, you have not backed them up with any facts which means they do not carry much strength in a discussion. Do you have any facts and examples to support your views? For example, that President Trump is "definitely better than Kamala Harris"?
I explained why I believe he's a better president I can't find data and information saying he's definitely better because how would one do that they've both got policies that people agree with but one shared them and said what he wanted to do and the other got Megan thee stallion to twerk infront of the crowd for her rally. Also I feel that I must add of you go through some of kamala Harris's rallys she says alot of the same thing and the same phrases that's not even a lie go through them.
I disagree because a smart educated person such as Elon would of known what that salute meant and how much outrage it would of caused. And by him having such strong political views on Trump whilst owning big social media platforms such as X could effect what he is allowing to be seen.
I 100% agree as Elons political view on an extremely controversial person such as Trump may affect what he allows people to see on his social media platform ‘X’. By him doing that salute also made his sales on tesla in europe go significantly down.
For someone of his stature, he definently has to be careful what he does, even if its not intentional it could raise suspicion, not to talk about all the WW2 veterans that watch the news imagine how much PTSD was triggered by that one action. I guess great power does come with great responsibility.
Right. I totally agree with you. I think everyone who is saying that that is a roman salute is strongly mistaken. And as for those saying this is a show of clumsiness just one question for you; how can someone with an IQ of 155 to 600 make such a mistake. Sure he makes mistakes at times, no one is perfect but I strongly doubt that someone that smart will just suddenly do that on the news as a mistake. Besides, he did it twice it couldn't have been a mistake. There must be something more to this.......
He can mistakes because he's HUMAN yes he's very smart he's putting his heart out to America, should he have done it absolutely not but he's not a nazi it ain't that deep and people are just looking too much into it he's just a passionate American.
I could have been wrong I agree, but the fact that he did that was just very suspicious. WHY would a 'passionate' American suddenly start beating his hand on his chest and putting it out twice palm downward?. It seemed very particular. If he was so passionate WHY did he do that and NOT sing America's national anthem. It didn't seem like the kind of thing a PASSIONATE american would do really. That's just my opinion...
I have an interesting discussion ,we all know that space X is successful right now ,and Musk founded it to make civilizations on Mars ,the question is : will he succeed in his wishing dreams and will it be an amazing project and how will it affect our future ?
Also ,Will space X will be challeng Nasa?
My suggestion for a potential discussion is the fact that why is Elon Musk engaging in politics?I mean Elon is the richest man in the world, smart, has children, influences the media like crazy. He has everything going for him but I'm skeptical on why he's joining politics and engaging Donald Trump. It all just seems suspicious, skeptical, and I feel like something behind close doors.Maybe he wants more influence on the world than he already does or something along the lines of that.I don't know but its weird why he wants politics.I just saw a Facebook on my mom's phone where he wants to change the English Chanel name. Its very weird why he wants to join politics but that's just my opinion.
Does Elon Musk have power over election choices? Here in the U.S. Elon Musk has shown up to and made speeches at Donald Trump's rallies. So personally I think that because of the companies he owns he was able to make his voting impressions on a lot of people.
My question is should Elon Musk get paid as much as he does?
Thanks for your question - do you think he should be paid as much as he does?
Aimee@topical talk I think everyone should get paid the same
Nearly everyone knows that Elon musk is a very significant person in our lives in our universe. He is also knows for being the most successful and influential person in our lives today his intelligence has helped him push and thrive for more influential things in lives today.
Some people believe Elon Musk is bringing benefits to society, while others think there is a darker side to all his projects. He is a very intelligent man and he has developed many things over the years, such as SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), Tesla, and more. However, he might only be carrying out these projects for his own benefit, to gain power in the economy.
Another thing I must point out is that he named one of his children "X AE A-Xii". He named a living human being as if it were one of his technological assets. I do remain respectful of his decision, but that is not a normal name for a child in my opinion, that is a name more adequate for a machine.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about "How has Elon Musk's vision and leadership style shaped the industries that he is involved in?" because there has been many controversies about the changes and impact that Elon Musk has made on different industries such as X ( formerly known as Twitter ), Tesla, SpaceX, and etc. Elon Musk has made a major impact on our environment, planet, and society, it would be interesting to know more about how his visions and leadership style has shaped/impacted the companies that he is involved in.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about whether Elon Musk is a visionary genius or an overhyped risk-taker because opinions about him are deeply divided. Some see him as a revolutionary innovator pushing humanity forward, while others believe his bold ideas are unrealistic and sometimes reckless. A discussion on this topic would spark debate about his successes, failures and whether his influence is ultimately good for the world.
I think there should be a Hub discussion about if X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, harms free speech. For example in December 2022, the year when Musk bought Twitter, some journalist were banned because they talked about @Elonjet, an account that tracks Musk's private jet, but the journalist only shared public information. Even so, Musk didn't like the fact the journalist talked about this and took the comments down. However this is an act of hypocrisy because Elon Musk said he supports free speech, but when he didn't like that comments from the journalist, he took them down and that is not free speech.
Also when Elon Musk spread misinformation on X during the U.S. political campaign, his comments weren't taken down because his the owner of the platform, even though this is against X policies. It seems that if you are against Musk on X you might be banned.
There should really be a discussion about X and the fact that if you criticize Musk your comments will be taken down.
I think their should be a Hub discussion on "Will Elon Musk and his extreme ideas affect the upcoming youth?" With X being the primary source for the youth to browse the Internet in order to keep up with the world, comments which underwhelm the youth and create a superior image of certain people have became a problem. Elon Musk has often shared extremely inappropriate comments which make the people especially the youth to believe that he holds a significant image. Threatening ideas like the population collapse, where Elon warned the public that he can destroy the population within few minutes. These statements often put a lot of pressure luring people to believe in everything he says. The problems spans out to not just comments about power, but they can be harmful when eighteen to nineteen year old follow such person's political interests, which can not only affect the working of democracy but can also permanently damage the perspectives of an individual. With people of our age, been influenced by Musk, then what will be the condition when we will have to decide the possible future of something? Will Musk influence the majority of the population, in elections by promoting a candidate which will benefit him the most, not just in the US but on the world? Can Musk himself run for president of a country he is eligible in? Will Musk's power, say in ten twelve year, would be so intense that it would permanently damage the principles of democracy? Will such scenarios lead to the country's adopting monarchy/ dictatorship to prevent extensive influence from foreign individuals?
A discussion hub I would like to add is how would Elon Musk's rockets help humanity. I think the answers could be these
Reducing Space Travel Costs: Reusable rockets make spaceflight cheaper.
Enabling Mars Colonization: Starship may transport humans to and help them stay on Mars.
Advancing Space Exploration: Supporting NASA missions to the Moon and beyond.
Improving Earth's Sustainability: Faster global travel and better disaster response.
Protecting Earth - Concepts for asteroid defense missions.
And now, a question: Would you like to see humans on Mars in your lifetime?
Did you know ? If Elon Musk gave everyone in the world 1 million he would still have so much money left over to spend and he would look really good for helping the poor and giving to everyone on the planet. But I still think he is not too nice for not even donating to the poor. In my opinion, he seems much more interested in getting power for himself instead of using his power to do good in the world.
Can you provide your sources for your information on Elon Musk?
In our lesson we talked about how if you have power you can have a mixture of things like social media influence and political position I feel like Elon musk is just teaming up with Donald trump because he wants power remember when he had a huge argument and even kicked him out of X also known in our day as twitter i hate how savage he is if he donated money we discussed that he probably would ask them a favour we all had different opinions in my class and we were trying to persuade each to agree with our answer but I did not get persuaded because I had quite a stern point we all listened carefully to one another
Hi as all knew that Elon Musk is a rich person and is a celebrity also is the owner of the space X company and that Tesla car company these two companies are so good in manufacturing their products but in the space X they are manufacturing a rocket called starship that is so massive and it is so durable also for our human to Mars mission and he launches also Falcon rockets also and his space company only launches starling satellites the satellite switch provide network from the space Elon Musk can develop mobile phones and other accessories also to reach a better position in business so I think Elon Musk should prepare to do production of other things also this may increase his wealth and if he starts to make or do production of other electronic his wealth will definitely increase and we can talk about what are all the goodness and achievement he has done so far so that might be a crazy topic I knewone that his store ship rocket is the world's biggest rocket and his Tesla electric racing car or so famous nowadays and the safest and bullet proof truck that is tesla cyber truck he also created and AI called xAI and he also owned the Twitter from now it is called x so we can discuss about these things
According to me we should have a discussion on “does difference lead to success “ . I would suggest a discussion on this because wherever you see Thomas Edison who was kicked out of school but was successful,Even Eddy Zhong at ted talk told that he was a C grade student and told that only academic education is not enough alone to make children intelligent instead it’s only one type of intelligence and the lines that hit me where” no one has ever achieved success by doing what world has told them to do”. By the way Eddy Zhong is a great personality who found a multi millionaire company Blanc Watches at age of 16. Even Elon Musk was bullied and is still criticised for his over efficient tasks and results but still he is successful. Therefore I think there can be a good discussion about this on hub .
Hope you like it:)
We could discuss how even though Elon Musk has the most power, money and social media influence, is he actually happy? All the power cannot buy happiness and I would be depressed if I was him because people are constantly commenting on him all around the world
I think that there should be a hub discussion about what is more important political power or money. Also there should be a key point about that is it necessary for a famous person to have power in his/ her hands or we should look for a better person.
I think Elon musk is very dangerous and powerful because he uses Donald trump to get power just to be popular
Hello I think that Elon musk is trying to like be friends with Donald trump so that he can get more money and have the power to everyone voting him for the president.Elon musk is a bad influence he only use money to interest people and vote 🗳️ .He is rich for reason .
I disagree because the public endorsement of Donald Trump by Elon Musk was a strategic move. Months before the elections, Trump had criticised electric vehicles, and threatened a possible end to it. Trump said that subsidies on EVs made gasoline vehicles far less lucrative. Elon must have been the one to realize the future of his company Tesla. He must have realised that using his money and power now could result in a better future for Tesla. After Kamala Harris took over along with a failed assassination attempt on Trump, it was certain that Trump would hold presidency. Elon then only started donating funds for his campaign. This softened the prior stated restrictions on electric vehicles. As you said, Elon endorsed Trump to make money, but it is completely different. He invested in his campaign, hence losing the money, to save the future of Tesla. To keep his trust, Elon now manages the Department of Government Efficiency, which aims to reduce the overall federal spending. This helps Trump to invest in more sensitive topics. To end, as you said, Elon Musk is a bad influence, then one must have enough belief in oneselves, that no singular comment on social media can affect their vision for the country. To add on, X, also offer the freedom of speech, where anybody can post anything on any matter. This means that Elon just expressed his opinion, that Trump is a better choice.
I think Elon musk can help make The world a better place for we humans just like how he made SpaceX & X(twitter) and I believe he can make more genius inventions, what he need now is for us to stop doubting him but support him THANKS 😀
Hello everyone!
I would like to express something I have learnt recently about Elon Musk so basically there are 10 billion people in the world and Elon Musk's net worth is over 400 billion dollars so if Elon Musk gave 1 billion dollars to every person in the world then he would have 390 billion dollars left! How crazy is that!!!! It just proves that Elon Musk could so easily put his huge sum of money into something useful such as a charity or helping people who are less fortunate than himself, which I personally think would make him a much more honourable person deserving of his large amount of money. When you look at the amount of problems the world has that can only be started to solved by a lot of money being invested such as the children in Africa or other charities like cancer research or helping Syria.
Thanks for your time (:
grateful_seagull
Elon Musk has to much power in my opinion and even though he has lots of money and money does not buy you happiness he wants to much power and is not happy with what he has he only is pretending to like Donald Trump for power not because he is inspired by is work i think he is a bad charactar for the envioroment he wants it is way and does not compromise fairly he is trying to take over and it will probarly end badly for him he should not be persuading peole by twitter but it was a smart move to create it so he is not totally dumb my class discussed if he donated any money he would probarly make them do a job for him he would not give money free to them but he is so selfish i think he would not give any money at all but still as for a favour to be done he owns so much like teslas and i think he should share with the people i know he might not at all be bad and everyone has different opinions but this is what i think lots of people trust him because he is the richest person ever but that is because they think if they are on his team there will be no trouble but i feel like they are safe for now but if he gets more and more power then it could be bad
Is it better to have one person rule the country or a group of people?
I think it is better to have a group of people so that others ideas and opinions are heard too. I think if one person was in charge there would be a lot of conflict and disagreements.
Is there such a thing as too much power?
I think there is especially if it is negative power or not being used in a good way. I think that if someone has too much power they can become boastful and selfish or they can use their power to do good for others and our world.
I have recently seen - with the new tarrifs President Trump has put against China, Mexico, and Canada, - Elon has gotten involved. This is a bit strange in my opinion due to me just believing he shouldn't be in politics, but that's besides the point. After a few searches, I've seen stuff from either yesterday or a few hours ago saying that Elon would also be losing money. I feel as if that's another reason I dont see why he's in politics, because it doesn't seem like he's exactly gaining from it? I would like to hear other peoples opinions if you'd like!
Elon Musk is one of the world's richest and most successful men on this planet, with a Net worth of 421Billion USD. I think that a valid discussion should be what could Elon Musk do with this kind of wealth, in order to help the world solve problems such as world hunger, poverty and carbon dioxide emissions. I believe that with that amount of money, all three of these problems could be minimized. I stand with this view because I think that Elon musk could help the first 2 issues with his money and reduce carbon dioxide by for example making Tesla's car battery out of other materials that aren't as lethal to the environment or filtering air pollution from factories. The reason I suggest this discussion is because I'd love to get a second opinion on this topic and other world issues that could be helped by Elon Musk.
.I think that we should have a discussion on how much power he is gaining from his companies and how he is trying his best to take over the human mind for example once Elon had made a chip called the neuralink which was supposed to make a person smarter and more A.I controlled and that means if an operation of the neuralink fails that can cost a persons life and humans won't be able to develop intelligence on their own. Numerous people know that Elon Musk is wan of the most wealthiest and intellectual people in all the world and how he is buying brands and apps like twitter for example has been bought and turned into X. As well he has had an immense influence on manufacturing electric cars like Tesla and that has inspired more companies to invest into green energy and the health to our environment. Also he has also had some backlash in the Trump inauguration when it looked like he had done specific salute which has forged a bit of a reputation against him. On the other hand he has intelligently trying to get some type of human civilisation to mars he also owns SpaceX which has been competing with NASA recently for who can get to Mars first. Elon Musk has as also recently been working on the rocket called the Star ship that was meant to take passengers to Mars. There are many mixed feelings and reputation for him some people are saying that he is brainwashing the human race to rely on robots and not ourselves and some others think that he is doing a favour for our society by making are tasks easier however I think if we rely on A.I to much we can become to lazy. Thank You
Elon Musk may have some extreme views. I say this because he supports the AFD party in Germany, which is believed to be far right. This party appears to be against immigration and is nationalist and extremist. Some students mentioned Elon Musk shows love to the American flag and people, but do they know he was actually born in South Africa? The US isn’t his country of birth. In addition, they've said that Trump is ready to take drastic action, but do they think that’s good? He is ready to start a war over the Panama Canal and he also sent 1500 troops to the Mexican border and will send another 10000. This worsens the situation. Also trump withdrew the US from the Paris climate change agreement which means the US could pollute a lot more and harm the planet. He said that some Ukraine provinces are under Russian control and that they should remain with Russia. Why would you give up after three years or why would you give them to Russia because that shows that you accept what they have done and that it is okay to fight for your way with brutality.
I think there should be a Hub Discussion on the topic, "What if big personalities like Elon Musk did not exist? How will the world thrive without them in terms of economic and industrial growth of the provinces?" This is a great suggestion as it empowers people to share their thoughts on living where a competitive environment does not exist. It, in addition, brings up various solutions to a living where humans live happily, and no nefariousness exists.
Hey @storytellimg_hedgehog! I respectfully disagree with your suggestion because what you want to tell us is to make a hub discussion on a hypothetical situation which has no chance of happening and their will be no point of learning about such examples because even if something like this happens I think it would make no sense and the world economy would get disturbed. I do respect what you want the students to learn from this but I don't really think that this is the right example. Also focusing on the fact that you said what would happen if there would be no competitive environment I personally think that this might make people's life peaceful but do you really think that without compitition people would be able to push through their limits I mean that competing with others does impacts us positively where we try to become the best among the others which is what makes us to keep improving and become better each and everyday.
I think that Mr Musk does not deserve all this power he has because he could probably send information to influence people and even ban some people on X.Considering he has been successful and has lots of wealth,I want to know how he started all this business and became the owner of X. Mr Musk has not always been friends with Donald Trump,he had an argument with him a few years ago and voted for the other party. But now Donald Trump is president, Mr Musk has now been friends with him. Why? Because he wants more power and wants to guide people to vote for Donald Trump on X.
We all know that Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and that he has a lot of power. But there are a few questions to be answered?Like should we support him or not.We need to monitor what he is doing and our answers depend on his actions. “Some are like right he’s the richest man in the world let’s follow him!”But no , first we need to check if he is right or wrong. He gets his power from his company’s . And a lot of power from twitter or x . No wonder Trump wants Mr Musk on his side. Eventually they made a deal giving each other power for support.
Elon musk made a big difference to his life by becoming Richest person on earth 🤑🤑
Elon Musk is selfish because he has so much money and spends on rubbish stuff in my opinion I think he is a show off he should help people who less fortunate then him and spend that money on them I can not believe how Donald Trump and him are now besties like they used to be enemies with one another he even once deleted Donald off twitter Elon spreads rumours he is smart though because he created X also known as twitter he is power hungry and wants a bigger , better role because he wants it his way and I am sure he will not let the people have what they want but what he wants
Well your points are certainly right in some ways however my thoughts and opinions vary from what you said since I firmly believe that Elon Musk is a self made visionary, inventor and an amazing entrepreneur who plays his cards wisely and we can not deny the fact that he is emerging to be one of the most influential persons globally but he can not be termed as somebody who is greedy for power since he has earned it wisely. However, he is in the wrong when it comes using his social media influence to remove or cancel the people or organisations he does not like and use his political position to get things done against the nation's will and just for himself, but we need to realise and respect the position that he has earned and play our part as responsible citizens to point out when things are being wronged and raise our voice against it.
As we all might know Elon Musk is the richest man in the world he is very successful while using AI.But what some of us might not or do like about him is that he is really powerful he has loads of companies and he is allowed to ban people from using his them as example twitter and Tesla
, as he has over 2million people following him but as we might be watching the newsDonald Trump is offering Elon Musk a position close to being a the president but we don't know if Donald Trump is using Elon Musk for his money or that Elon Musk is using Donald Trump to get be president or to get I high position.
Thank you
I think there should be a Hub Discussion about if we were in place of Elon Musk and we have problems same as Elon Musk so how can we overcome and become the richest person? This would help us use creativity and think different solutions of the same problem as Elon Musk. It would also make us ready for the same situation. We will also understand the way Elon Musk had experienced. We will feel great after having a discussion and giving our opinion. Thank you for this festival to five us chance and represent in front of us a challenge but this time you need not to bother about because nothing is wrong or right.
Thank You
I think there should be a hub discussion post about whether billionaires like Elon Musk should have the power to influence politics and public opinions because this issue affects democracy and society in many ways. With platforms like X (formerly twitter) , Musk can instantly share opinions that reach millions of people , influencing markets , elections , and global debates . Some argue that he is simply exercising his freedom of speech , while others believe billionaires hold too much power in shaping the public conversations.
This discussion would turn out to be very valuable because it raises many important questions like , Should there be limits on how much influence wealthy individuals have in politics ? Should business leaders stay out of the government affairs , or do they have the same rights as any other citizen to participate ? Exploring these ideas would help us understand the balance between power , responsibility and democracy in today's world .
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about if Elon Musk really care about AI safety or just want control. He always warn about AI risks but at same time he also build AI himself. Is he really trying to protect future or just making sure he stay in charge
lets discuss on Elon musk access to treasury payment systems
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about the dark side of Elon Musk. I am aware that there are a few hub discussions which state about the news about Elon Musk in which he is misusing his power. But,my point is that I want a hub discussion about his other side of misbehaviour which is usually not revealed in news. But still there are few resources in which people reveal his behaviour which we are not aware of. Recently, I read somewhere that Elon Musk is brutal with his employees. I suppose there might be more of examples like these about him. I can say this because after reading the news in which Elon Musk is misusing his power, I suppose he could do things like these too. Well, I am not against anyone, but it is just my opinion.
HELLO !
We all know Elon's power is at peaks. He also is the richest person on the planet. With a net worth of over 400 billion. My question is " Should Elon Musk be made responsible for the negative effects of his new techs and builds, such as job replacement by AI or environmental harm? If yes why, if no who else?" I chose this particular question as it is essential for us to know- Is Elon abusing his power or is he using it for development. Who to blame for this continuous harm of environment, surrounding and most important mankind due to news techs coming up? The creator/inventor or the users of new inventions. Because in this advancing world people mostly blame others or everything so we should take these blames for ourself instead of others. This applies for not only Elon but us as well.
THANK YOU!
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about "Elon Musk: money, power and influence" because his actions and decisions are having a profound impact on technology, the economy,
the environment and society. The vast wealth and influence at his disposal have placed him in a position where is every move commands the world's attention...
Through such a discussion, we can understand how Technology entrepreneur and his companies can shape the world....
To start a great discussion on 'Elon Musk: money, power and influence', I can formulate some questions that can provoke and uncover different aspects.
1. According to Elon musk, how can technology and innovation determine the future of humanity❓
This can be an exciting question for discussion about musk's vision and the objectives of his company, that I believe.
2. Is Elon Musk capable of bringing about moral change in society through wealth and power❓
This can make a debate about his social responsibility and influence that making him negotiator.
3. How have his creations, electric cars and space revolutionized modern civilization❓
The revolution that musk has brought about with Tesla's electric cars and spaceX's space missions can be a debate about the current and future impact.
.....thank you....
I think there should be a hub discussion on climate change and effects of carbon footprint.
Elon Musk is a great man with ao much potential that it leaves each one of us in a shock whenever something new comes out!
Musk's motive is to focus on climate change. There are many projects which Musk has helped in related to climate change and Healthcare. My suggestion will help us focus in this topic even better, and we can also focus on effects of carbon footprint, namely, it's effects are really harmful for us. So maybe we can try to pull up a discussion on this topic and focus even better giving examples of intelligents like Musk.
Thank You
We all know that elon musk is the richest person on earth and very successful but I think we should focus on how he became what he is today and discuss about the struggles he had to face in the past. The best part about this discussion would be that students would learn and get inspired from how he overcame his weaknesses and turned it into his strengths , this will definitely make a positive impact on students and get to know more about elon and his tough past.
What could happen in elon musk has this power for a long time, could he become the future president of the united states of america?
As we all know Elon Musk has multiple multimillion companies such as spacex, but I feel like we should mainly focus on one Elon's most successful business Tesla. We should focus on the horrible stuff that tesla's cause in the environment.
He’s got too much power, no single man or woman should have the amount of power he has. He has the ability to change the world for the better but he wont! Because if it dosent fit his veiw its not important, he helped support a party in Germany via live stream. Hes not a good man. He has done a few good things but it dosent make him a good man. With his recent controversy
It makes you think, what are his intentions? What does he want from all this money and power? All the fame? He has it all and what is he trying to do with it?
I think there should be a hub dicussion post about is social media and its negative affect on teenagers
What would you like to say about these negative aspects?
i suggest the topic how to use power the right way
Certainly, what do you think is the 'right' way?
to use power the right way i would say we have to make sure that such power is used responsibly and wisely instead of using it to oppress people.
I still go on with the act of going for government cause it is best for him to engage in government it will make him more richer and have more social media followers .
I personally don’t know an awful lot about Elon Musk, however I know what responsibilities he has and how successful he is in his career. He is one of the richest men on the planet and is really intelligent and owns many great companies such as SpaceX and Tesla. However recently there has been a lot of controversy and backlash towards Elon Musk regarding the gesture he carried out during a Donald Trump rally. Many people claimed this was a nazi salute and serious allegations were put against him. I strongly believe that even if he didn’t have these intentions, it was an extremely wrong thing to do and some action should have been taken against it.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about "how social media is affecting our lives." I know this topic has been covered in the Elon Musk discussion, but i believe there should be a more detailed lesson and debate on it because if seen, it's the MOST concerning thing nowadays except climate change.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about... Can we learn anything from Elon Musk? Is he a man with a lot of money who knows how to use it well? Or true genius, who people criticize and don't understand because of his genius mind?
That would be an interesting topic in my opinion because we can explore and find out how he became so powerful and rich. Was it because of his skills to see good job opportunities? Or maybe his inventions which changed the world in so many ways?
We have many different opinions about Elon Musk here in america. What are some opinions that you hear where you live.
We all know that Elon Musk has been trying to influence the German federal election campaign since January 2025. Here, there is the first critical point that somebody who works for the American government tries to influence a German election campaign. But what’s even worse is the party that he’s trying to support which is the AfD, an extreme right wing party. He uses many ways like speaking at the AfD’s party congress or supporting the AfD on X to support it. He tries to make populism in Germany more successful. But now the question is, what to do with the situation. Do you think it is right or it should be allowed what Elon Musk is doing? Or do you think that Germany should strengthen the rules about election support from powerful people like Elon Musk?
My question for y'all will be: what makes Elon Musk so different from other politicans and billionaires regarding the fact that he is a huge impact on the world which isn't necessarily good. I chose this question because i wanna know why other billionaires like Jeff bezos don't interfer with politic so much like Elon musk. I think that it would be great if we also had a rich person who would support parties and people which fulfill their functions instead of those which use propoganda to reach their corruptioning goals.
I would suggest the topic: Should X be banned, because it is too powerful for Elon Musk, because he can share his ideas to the whole world and you can make a lot of propaganda.
That's interesting, quickwitted_orangutan! You said there that X is "too powerful", can you explain what you mean? And if you ban X, does that mean you have to ban other social-media platforms too?
X is really powerful and should be banned, because Elon mask can use it to give his own opinions to his followers and they would believe it. If there would be something that is against his mind then he could delete this message. In think that is the best way for Elon musk to spread wrong information, his opinions or propaganda. There are other social media platforms that maybd should be banned that he cannot switch to an other social media platform and use this platform to spread his opinions. It would be fine too, if social media is neutral in politicians and there are people that will read thosr comments and dicide if they will be allowed or not.
My suggestion for a discussion is, the question whether Elon Musk should be allowed to keep his money or if he should give at least some money to the state of America , e.g. to help refugees or other people in need, because his money makes him so powerful.
Could you look into ways Mr Musk is already donating to good causes, romantic_deer? Does this make you think differently about him?
I think there should be a Hub Discussion on the topic,” What if Elon Musk did not influence people? Would Trump had won then?
I think there should be a hub discussion post about " is it ethical for governments and corporate to censor information or opinions on the internet, by claiming it to be "misinformation" ? " because I believe that now a days social media, which was supposed to be a platform that could voice free opinions has now become a mere puppet at the hands of governments, elites and corporates which repeatedly censor information which according to them is "misinformation" or "defamation" . This growing problem is harming the freedom of speech and expression and turning social media into a breeding ground for hate, controversies and cyber wars and conflicts. However its not the first time when this freedom of speech is being targetted or being hampered. I am keen to know about other's perspectives and opinions on the same.
Do you think there are different types of free speech? How do you think governments should tackle free speech/misinformation that may be harmful to people or cause unrest?
hello Topical talk today, I am going to talk about how powerful Elon Musk is but firstly, what is power ? now power is the act of using your position to influence people Elon Musk is very rich, he has about $400 billion which is a lot of money🤑 but does Elon musk has to much money please anwer me😧
Elon Musk is ionly famous for his money. This allowed him to get a substantial social media following which then lead to his fame and power.
Elon Musk might have made himself a position of being the most powerful person in the world after his involvement in politics. He has previously tried to involve himself in Ukraine during the war by giving Starlink communications to Zelensky. He then commented afterwards that Ukraine should just end the war so if they did Musk would get the credit giving him political power also
I think there should be a hub discussion about if Mr Elon Musk should be allowed to be in such a political position as with his social influence he could spread false information in order to change votes as well as censor and ban people who comment against his views on X.
Musk has previously been interacting in the past 2024 U.S presidential election where he and Nigel Farage "helped" to campaign for President Donald J Trump. Today he and Nigel do not get along after Elon criticised Nigel saying that the MP "doesn't have what it takes to be a Prime Minister or a party leader". The Reform UK leader then proceeds to say that he "cannot be pushed and bullied" by Elon Musk. So has he been criticising for power and influence over people in the UK or has he been warning people about a terrible Farage rule?
I think that there should be a hub discussion post about "are public influencers having provoking influence on elections ?!"
I think this would be a great discussion topic because knowing everyone's view would make this topic better and let's be real influencers directly or indirectly are influencing us by showing a better life so would this affect us in choosing our government by having so called "democracy" ??
I think there should be a hub discussion on
Elon Musk: Representation of women in his Organisation.
Elon Musk has many industries for example Tesla, Starlink, The Boring Company, SpaceX, and many more
But, I am curious to know if Elon Musk is including women in his creation of software and inventions? Elon Musk might been seen doing great things but to what extent has he considered gender inclusiveness of women in his inventions created for everyone?
Also, Many information/stories are written or seen from a one side perspective especially on women fighting in wars. Therefore, If these machines producing Elon Musk's companies are not gender inclusive this can cause a big steer in the world when women are sidelined. It will lead to delays and problems for millions of people in different aspects of life.
If we do not include everyone our world will just be full of racism, bias and more problems.
So I hope and wish the female gender is well included and considered in all of Elon Musk's companies policies and product creations.
We all know that Elon Musk is the richest person in the world. Despite his financial situation, he might not be the most successful person in the world. There aren’t many people as successful as him, but there are a few that are even more successful than Elon Musk. For exemple, Donald Trump. He has the most power in the USA, since he is the president. Of course, any president is the most powerful person in their country, but what about kings and queens? There aren’t many left, but for exemple, in Englend, there still are! Queen Elizabeth died about 2 years ago, but his son is now the king of Englend, so he is the most powerful person in Englend at the moment. In conclusion, Elon Musk may be the richest person in the world, but might not be the most successful one.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about whether Elon Musk 's influence could shape the future of democracy and free speech because his control over platforms like X (formerly twitter) raises some big questions like should billionaires have the power to control the rules for global conversation ? Does his approach to free speech promote more people to share what they feel or does it give to much room for misinformation ? A discussion around this could really dive into the balance between technological innovation , corporate power and public's interest in shaping how we communicate online.
I think there should be a HUB discussion on what things is musk doing after getting a political power.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about " How power, money and social media influence builds up the character and influences the behaviour of the person". I think this should be the topic to be discussed on as in my views the character and behaviour of the person are its golden points and in my opinion the factors that affect these can be a good topic to have a discussion on.
Hello 👋
My question is - How does Elon Musk use his wealth and social media presence to promote his own ideas and interests?
I'm really curious about this because Musk has a huge following on social media, and he's always tweeting about his latest projects and ideas. Sometimes it feels like he's using his platform to hype up his own stuff, rather than having genuine conversations with his followers. For example, when Musk announced his plan to take Tesla private, he did it through twitter or x, without even telling his board of directors. It was like, whoa, is this guy using his social media to control the stock market? And then there's the time he got into an argument with a cave diver who was trying to help rescue some Thai kids trapped in a cave. Musk started tweeting a lot of wild accusations, and it just seemed like he was using his platform to attack someone who was just trying to help.
So, I guess what I'm asking is: how does Musk use his wealth and influence to shape public opinion, and is it always a good thing? Is he using his platform to promote his own interests, or is he genuinely trying to make the world a better place?
Thank you !
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about the "reason behind Elon Musk's success; was it money, political position, social media influence or something entirely different?" Because the question we're asked here is "what makes us powerful", If seen in Elon Musk's case, he had nothing in the start so how did he become so successful?
I believe it's not only money or any such materialistic thing that has made him so inflential and successful, there's sleepless nights, failure, tenacity, dreams and many more that had helped Elon Musk. I've seen in the news that he had came across several depressing setbacks that made him a great loss; almost in billions if talked about money, but yet there he stands, today having more than 200 million people listening to him, President Trump supporting him and being the richest person in the whole world! He is one of the greatest inventors of all time, that's almost incredible.
I believe this question will help us think differently, apart from all that has been listed, and change our views upon the ingredients of power!
Do you think it's fair that a person who has not been democratically elected to have so much influence in politics?
One could debate that Elon Musk is incredibly powerful. His power stems from his control over big companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, and X. This raises concerns about potential for excessive influence and its implications. While his innovations have undeniably driven technological advancements, the concentration of power in his hands represents several challenges such as, monopolistic tendencies. Tesla's dominant position in the electric vehicle market raises concerns about potential monopolistic practices. Similar concerns about SpaceX's growing influence in the space launch industry. Lack of sufficient competition could stifle innovation and harm consumers through higher prices or limited choices. He also could have unfettered influence on public discourse. His ownership of X gives him significant control over the flow of information and public discourse. His ability to censor, promote, or demonitize content allows him to shape narratives and potentially influence public opinion. This power warrants consideration regarding the potential for manipulation and the suppression of dissenting viewpoints. Not to mention, his considerable wealth and global reach of his companies can sway public opinions of policy matters and potentially impact government decisions. This indirect political power raises concerns about democratic processes.
In ancient, people wondered around alone in the forest . Searched for food alone and fought alone to survive . Then for a while, when people need to survive , they left the system of living alone and created society. The ancient society slowly turned into a mordan society through different changes. Social media become an important medium of interaction into a mordan and mordan society.
Sometimes as a direct visionary Of the social media era, sometimes I wonder if the kingdom of loneliness has really ended in human life by coming to each other, or is it getting away more and more from each other? Where a flat person doesn't know the people in the front flat, the people of a neighborhood do not know the people of the neighborhood, thousands of people in the virtual world, with a thousand, millions of people, who are not the mordan form of personal loneliness in the virtual life?
Not hesitant to say that social media has brought the people of different parts of the world as close to each other for the first time . According to an account on march 2020, since the number of Facebook users in Bangladesh has exceeded 3 crore 79 lakh 12 thousand , so don't blindly believe the story of coming to each other through social media but it took time to take the exam and audit . Otherwise the storm is waiting for the front .The storm that can break from our mental social and cultural relationships.
I think it would be really interesting to dive into the relationship between Elon Musk and Donald Trump in a Hub discussion post. Their interactions have the potential to influence a lot of people, and exploring the positive aspects could lead to some great insights!
I recently came across some discussions about Donald Trump’s decisions on U.S. aid, especially regarding the withdrawal of financial support from certain countries. Some funds that used to go to South America have been redirected to Afrikaan communities, which raises some thought-provoking questions.
Given that Elon Musk was born in South Africa, this unique connection might bring different viewpoints into the conversation. I believe having a friendly and open dialogue about the dynamics of their relationship could help us understand the bigger picture.
It’s also important for us to keep looking into their association, as we want to know if it benefits just a few individuals or if it’s helping a larger group of people. I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks!
I think a topic worth discussion, 'Can the advancements of companies owned by Elon Musk, change the way ordinary people of developing countries like India live?' The recent talks with Indian Government with Elon Musk regarding the introduction of satellite phones will be a game changer. In India, farmers have to give acres of land for establishment to cell phone towers. This number dents the overall farm production and requires regural maintenance. To cope with this, Musk is ready to launch several satellites which will make cell phone work anywhere and at anytime. It is supposed to be tested out in military missions. Tesla, is also considering the establishment of a factory in India. These companies are exploring ventures in India, which excites me for the near future, where we can interact, drive, and pay using platforms of Elon Musk. How will other countries pose attract foriegn ventures for industrial growth?
Hello every one, I would want to ask this questions to every one present in this hub. My question is, is it possible to have the negative impact of Elon Musk to the whole world? because, his intention of making the planet mars a comfortable place for man to live and his company space x where rockets can actually travel to space to find out more information about our planet earth is actually a great positive impact to the world as a whole.
THANKS!
I think their Should be a hub discussion on how Elon musk started to develop his career and how how he is now because I want to know how he actually started his fame and when did he start this whole business i mean who knows. Before was he really nice and now is he really cruel well we don't know or I don't. Another question is what career did he start with? Was it a poor job but what job and which age did he start that job and why did why did he stop that job did he build up, was he offered a new one, did he also have fame at the time, when was his first ever job to become famous or did he just try to build up and try to become famous ?
I think that Elon Musk is definitely going to run for President next election because there is no reason why he wouldn't .
He is the richest person in the PLANET and he has millions of heavy supporters and followers , he also is in a great position with Donald Trump and can easily influence millions of people to vote for him. I don't particularly think that he is trust-worthy or he would make good decisions for the United States Of America . I think that he will do some more activity with Mars or other planets that we might be able to reach . We also know that in the past MR.Musk has done the Nazi Salute in front of many people , this is very racist and if he goes into power he will cause conflict between other countries . This is a suggestion for a discussion . Feel free to comment on my opinion .
You make a lot of good points. According to the United States Constitution, you are not currently able to run for President if you were not born within the country. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. Do you think this is a fair rule?
Hello everyone, I would like to discuss about what makes Elon Musk so powerful. However, from what I have learnt previously, I believe that Tesla makes him powerful as he has practically rammed all car manufactures around the globe head-on and driven them into a corner. Although I also believe that space x makes him poweful - the reason I think this is because he has succeeded in just a few years outperforming both the US space agency NASA and the European space agency ESA. If anyone else has any thoughts they would like to discuss, you're more than welcome. Thank you.
did you know elon musk is not the richest man in the world the rothchilds and rokwell family's make elon musk look like he has pennys
From what I have learned, Elon Musk is the richest person in the world, a multi company owner, and a man with a high influence on social media.(X) So my question is, what is giving him the power, "Money or Influence" What is the Problem.
Thanks for the comment, do you think there is a problem with his amount of power and influence?
Yes, I do believe his amount of power and influence is a problem. My reason is Mr. Elon Musk being the richest man in the world and having about 3M followers on Instagram, about 200M followers on Facebook, and about 200M on X/Twitter. Also I've recently found out that Mr. Elon Musk is the adviser of the new President of the USA, this gives him a lot more power and influence. His power and influence would not be a problem if he had more responsibility. Allow me to explain, from what I have learned I know that Mr. Elon Musk is amplifying false claims about the US election and shaping public opinion, also Elon Musk makes waves during the German election by criticizing the chancellor, and supporting the far-right anti-immigrant AfD party. He's done a lot more than just this that the people of the world are unhappy with. So yes I do believe Mr. Elon Musk's power is a problem.
I think that this was a very interesting topic to be learning about because there are many views on what makes Mr Musk powerful because in terms of political position, in the sense that Elon Musk is Donald Trump's advisor, he could advise Trump to invest money into his business and only Elon would profit but then using his intelligence he could 'advise' Trump to give him even more power because he can make benefits for the country when actually just using the money for his businesses, e.g: SpaceX and Tesla. Now there is another form of power that Elon Musk has, Social Media. Also, he has 200 Million followers on X and he can get those followers to, for example, elect Trump's successor in the next election or tell them to buy a Tesla because 'they are the best car on the planet' for example. So to conclude I think that Elon Musk is a very powerful man and the question is will he use it for the right reasons/how he uses it and lets see what the future holds!
I think that a topic could be about how Elon Musk treats his home country, South Africa. Me and my family were born in South Africa and moved to England for a better future, because South Africa is a poor country and it is hard to get jobs. Elon Musk should donate some of his money to South Africa and other poor people in Africa and also help the country have a better future.
Elon Musk is a very successful man who has lots of power, however I don't believe he should have this much power.
In my opinion everyone should have the same amount of power. Elon Musk is manipulating as he is a very popular man and can most likely make anyone agree with him, even though they should have their own thoughts and shouldn't just agree with him.
Thank you for reading this
I think there should be a hub discussion about the power of Elon musk that is it good or bad for people. I think that there shouldn’t be a problem of his power as I think he is a good and a kind man . Even he has great leadership qualities and is a fantastic Role model for the young entrepreneurs and leaders , even people are inspired by his work ethic , passion ,hard work ,grit and determination but in 2025 he is in power as he joined the side of Donald Trump so he might take a step not in the favour of the people and can even use his money to build a powerful war machine . So I hope that elon musk power will not be a problem in anyone’s life but will be a inspiration to everybody to save nature
I recently learned that Elon Musk has offered the non-profit organization OpenAI $97 billion for its acquisition. This comes as a shock, as the richest man on the planet is planning to buy the most successful chatbot. This shows Elon Musk's influence, this time using his wealth. The growth of OpenAI from a basic startup pioneered by Sam Altman to a $150 billion venture is incredible. Many people prefer ChatGPT as their artificial companion. Elon might have realized the potential threat OpenAI may pose to his chatbot, Grok. The massive potential of AI in the future is exciting. To extract the most from the future, Elon has decided to bid for ChatGPT because it has already overshadowed Grok's reputation. This just goes on to show two things:
1. Elon Musk's wealth; he has the ability to bid for the most developing products on the market.
2. The need to secure the future in the field of AI; he has decided to bid one-fourth of his net worth.
3. The massive influence AI may have in the future. Small startups could rule the world in the next ten years. This brings employment and business expansion opportunities, crucial as AI can take over many jobs.
Another important element to understand is that Elon wants to eliminate competition in the market. First, he bought Twitter to gain freedom in what he posts and its influence. Now he wants to buy the future of chatbots. The power he possesses with those 400 billion dollars is undeniable. Could this be the turning point where he wants to rule everything in the future? Will these rapid acquisitions help him reach a trillion dollars?
I think there should be a Hub discussion about Elon Musk's role of shaping the future of AI, if Elon Musk does something to shape the future of AI, it will be reduced harm to our planet and we will have enough electrical power to do our daily work. Elon Musk does thing to shape the future of AI, he may make AI more advanced so that it can give us smarter responses to our questions so that we can shape ideas in our minds to make the world a better place. Elon Musk can shape the future of AI so that it can increase the economy and his net worth.
Hi all,
Elon Musk is the richest person in the world and a person with more followers in X which is unbelievable. Most majority of people will say, elon Musk had became,so great because of his innovative inventions, ideas and knowledge. But some body feels uncomfortable with Musk because of his irritating works like personal attacks to journalists, critics and more. So, I think there should be hub discussion on the topic "ELON MUSK IS LEADING TO INNOVATIONS OR IRRITATIONS". Mr.musk reached the peak because of his innovative ideas, an best examples are tesla and the space industry, spacex which increased the economy of the country USA. On the other side, mr.musk's irritating works like twitter rants, controversial statements, disregard of criticism , unrealistic expectations, perceived arrogance, and mainly personal and official attacks to person such as journalists. I think, it's a interesting topic which can catch every minds to through out a solution...
Good title for the topic!
I think there should be a Hub Discussion post about how Elon Musk got so much power because of 1. Social media,
2. Political position, and 3. Money.
I personally think that he is powerful because of all three because, each can lead to one another. If you have social media you can have followers which can possibly lead to a political position. If you have a political position you are more likely to be wealthy.
You say 'if you have a political position you are more likely to be wealthy', can you make this claim for certain? Where is your evidence to support this?
Hi everyone,
As we know in the world today that Elon Musk is one of the richest men in the world and we all like he have done for us in terms of automobiles and so on.
We should talk about how can his profound influence in reshaping industries like automotive (Tesla), space exploration (SpaceX), and tech (X/Twitter). And also whether his power surpasses they governments, especially with his control over groundbreaking technologies like electric vehicles, Tesla solar, etc , we should all talk about it in the hub because we don't know whether they government can still instruct Elon Musk as a citizens of that country or Elon Musk has pass they government rule because he control over groundbreaking technologies.
Thanks
I think there should be a discussion about how much power people with large amounts of money should have. While wealth may boost the stance of someone's opinion, individual qualities should come first, such as leadership or perseverance. Furthermore, how much power should the people have? It would be an interesting topic, with a wide range of opinions.
I believe that money is Elon's most powerful ingredient. If we trace his moves, we find that PayPal, a growing startup, was acquired by Musk. The same is true for Tesla and Twitter. To put the cherry on the cake, Musk has bid for OpenAI, probably a strategic move, as ChatGPT has overshadowed his model, Grok, or he just wants AI programmed to promote his interests. I believe that Musk has built his other assets on top of his investments in small startups. He acts like a black hole, making lucrative offers to startups in their early stages, which is not unethical by any means, but it prevents real innovators from shining. Musk bought Twitter for a high price, but he made his interests popular worldwide. One aspect that not every businessman has is leadership. The way he led small startups to billion-dollar ventures is also difficult to replicate. But the discussion is, should billionaires be charged with aggressive taxes? Some say that taxes dent the innovative prowess of tech nerds, but managing money more than that of countries by billionaires is difficult and unsafe. If they are not charged taxes, it increases the fiscal load on the middle class. We have seen symptoms of this through Musk's interference in global politics. But AI, space, and vehicles need to develop quickly, so slowing this now is impractical. Should money be invested only in polishing the present, as endorsed by Bill Gates, or in exploring the future? If such powerful entities lead space exploration, should government agencies merge with them for more precise development, also reducing federal spending?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about :
Do you think that Elon Musk's interest in technology is due to his interest in making money only without considering the negatives of some technology such as AI on the environment and the damage it causes to the climate, the increase in unemployment rates, and also exposing personal data to danger through hacking?
Do you think that as a famous politician and businessman and one of the richest people in the world, his words receive great attention from people?
He should have a role in educating people about the negatives of AI, not just the positives, so that people can limit its use and not overuse it?
Do you think, from your point of view, that he is a selfish man who only seeks to make money without considering the consequences that may destroy the environment, or does he have the right to look at his practical and material future without looking at anything else? Should he have a role in education, such as establishing schools for children to study technology practically, not just theoretically, and provide high-quality education?
