  • I would absolutely love to say that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is fair! However, it's not. I agree with others that AI is centered around developed countries, leaving other countries lacking this development. Nevertheless, this isn't the only unfairness, there is unfairness in the SAME countries that are revolving around AI. Even if AI is created for beneficial purposes like improving education, how many schools can really afford to have it implemented? Only the schools from wealthy neighborhoods can. Many students will be left without AI because of price barriers they can't control. Apart from this, other kinds of AI are created and more often than not, it lacks limitations. For example: ChatGPT. According to Forbes.com, 89% of students admit to using ChatGPT for cheating. This isn't fair for our education system or our society because in the long run all we are creating are humans who HAVE to rely on AI instead of honing their necessary critical thinking skills. Furthermore, AI replaces tons of jobs. The University of Michigan has states that AI has taken over 1.7 million jobs since the 2ooo's. This number is only expected to go up as AI evolves and is implemented more. The unfairness comes from the specific job it takes, jobs like cashiers and manufacturing. Many immigrants come to the U.S. in hopes of the American dream yet the only jobs they can achieve are being ripped out of their hands. As the daughter of immigrants, I've seen and heard their struggles and to deny their honest work is not only unfair but unjust. So yes, AI is not fair.

    1. You make really interesting points about a number of ways that AI lacks fairness open_ocean. What are some examples of ways that AI, or the way AI is implemented, could be changed to make it more fair? Is that possible?

    2. I totally agree with you open ocean, because AI is really helping developed countries and leaving undeveloped countries lagging behind. And it shouldn't be, because AI is meant for everyone, but it costs a lot of money, and some countries do not have the wealth to use AI to help their citizens. So from my own point of view AI is fair and at the same time not fair, it's just that, not all countries can afford it. And yes, sometimes people use AI to cheat, but it should not be, because you should not abuse something just because you have it in abundance, meanwhile other people do not have it and yet you (who has it in abundance) is abusing it.

    3. I agree with you because AI is definitely not fair. It's like a new toy that only a few people get to play with, and a lot of others are left out. In some countries, AI isn't even a thing, so it feels like they're missing out on a big opportunity to grow. Even in rich countries, only the schools with lots of money can use AI to help kids learn better. What happens to the students in poorer areas? They don’t get the same chances to succeed, and that’s not fair.

Also, AI like ChatGPT can help students cheat, which is bad for learning. Instead of thinking for themselves, they just ask AI for answers, and that stops them from developing the skills they really need. If we keep relying on AI, we’ll lose the chance to become smart and solve problems on our own.

Then, there are jobs. AI is taking over jobs like cashiers and factory work, and it’s hurting people who really need those jobs to survive. Immigrants, like your parents, come to America hoping for a better life, but they’re losing their jobs to machines. This makes it even harder for them to achieve their dreams.

AI might make life easier in some ways, but we need to make sure it's being used in a fair way that helps everyone, not just a few people or countries. AI should work for all of us, not just the rich or the powerful.

    4. open_ocean I am sure that others would agree on what you have said and I also agree because you've stated that 89% of most students used bad websites like ChatGpt and I did my research and it is true. And they're going to put robots into our education system like school and people need money but they might lose their jobs which you also stated.Even though technology is cool it wasn't made by robots it was made by humans so I did my whole research to what you have stated and none of them are false thank you for typing this.

  • AI has really taken space in most developed countries and this has left undeveloped countries behind. The use of AI lames people who have no access to information and misleads those who might be having little knowledge on the developing trends across the world.
The use of AI has created imbalance that makes man lazy and creates an environment where the natural thinking and point of view is seen as outdated.
In my opinion, using AI should have limitations and boundaries to create a chance for man to think without reliance.
AI has more ruin than advantage to humans. Relying on it will make sector's like research unreliable.

    1. That's a great point , and you’ve raised some valid concerns. It’s true that AI has advanced so much in developed countries, and unfortunately, it has left many developing nations struggling to keep up. And yeah, there’s a risk that too much reliance on AI could make people lose their ability to think critically or come up with their own ideas
But I think it really depends on how we use AI. If it’s used thoughtfully, with proper education and access for everyone, it could actually bridge gaps rather than widen them. For example, in research, AI can take care of repetitive tasks so that researchers can focus more on creativity and innovation. I agree, though, that there needs to be a balance—AI should help us, not make us lazy or stop us from thinking for ourselves. It’s all about finding that middle ground and not letting it take over entirely.

      1. You have made a very valid point that there is indeed an unequal access to AI.
I find it relatively true that with reference to the African countries where forget AI,even the basic neccesities of life arent fulfilled.

I also agree with your point of thoughtful usage and sustainance.

AI is indeed a two edged sword which needs to be responsibly and thoughtfully used to make the most of its productive side rather than letting it over shadow our thinking and analysing skills thereby making human thoughts seem pointless.

    2. I totally agree with you that AI has really taken space in most developed countries such as: China, etc and it has also left underdeveloped countries behind especially in the African countries. I totally disagree with you that AI has more ruin than advantage to humans because without AI we the humans can't predict the future such as: weather forecast and as well get more information regarding space and so on.

      1. I disagree because... Actually before AI was created humans could already use devices to predict the weather by doing things like checking a barometer for air pressure changes, observing cloud formations, wind direction, humidity levels and checking animal behavior. All of these things can make AI more and more useless, although it would be less advanced it is still a replacement for AI.

        1. AI is an evolution of technology and it is one of the major ways that helps to enhance the world, without AI things will not work faster I agree with you that before AI was created people use barometer to predict for air pressure changes and so on. Therefore, AI is an essential device for humans which helps to improve our work and save time.

    3. yes I agree with that AI is not in some countries but not a ruin to humans. In some countries Like china in african countries but AI helps make research and interact with human naturally and also help in space revolution

    4. I do agree (AI) hasn't left room for human thinking there are more disadvantages like the fact that AI operates on human knowledge and is unable to develop or think up new ideas technically this is the coinage of other peoples knowledge and giving AI access to immense information while people settle down to use AI instead of researching their knowledge. AI gives a collection of versatile information and combines it for the user which might not meet their needs

      1. Hi tranquil-wasp, thank you for your comment. What do you think could happen if humans rely on AI, instead of coming up with their own ideas?

        1. Hello Christine! I believe that humans would do fine with letting AI do a lot for them but after a while AI can become self-conscious if humans modify it a lot, and in like movies, we might start getting commanded by AI.

        2. The human race cannot evolve or get developed because AI doesn't leave much room for Innovative thinking the AI runs on program's of data and in that data there in an archive of information used to answer question's if people settle to use this AI it can cause numbness of the brain and those who have less knowledge it doesn't improve their thinking

          1. I'm not convinced that AI is going to replace our brains just yet! I think it can actually be a pretty cool tool to help us think. By taking care of boring tasks like finding info or doing math problems, AI can free us up to focus on the things that really matter - like coming up with creative solutions to big problems, or helping others. It's all about using AI in a way that helps us, not hinders us.

            1. I like this, can you think of any other ways AI could help us with big problems?

              1. I totally agree with you! AI can be really helpful. I think it can also assist us in other areas, like:

Predicting big storms and natural disasters
                Creating personalized treatments for illnesses
                Making renewable energy more efficient
Helping kids learn in fun and interactive ways.

          2. You're right that relying too much on AI might make us less innovative and less thoughtful. But I think AI can also help us learn and think better.
AI can do routine tasks and give us information, so we can focus on being creative and solving problems. And AI can help people learn new things, even if they don't have access to good education.
We just need to make sure we use AI in a way that helps us, not hurts us. We should use AI as a tool, not a replacement for our own thinking.

    5. I agree with you , AI has to be used at a limit and the human population should really sometimes think without the reliance on A.I

      1. i agree with you to some extent yes AI is really good for human jobs to make our lives easier but then i also think some humans might think they are taking over and will not have a good reaction to them taking control and will start to maybe damage it

    6. That's a valid point as now their are so many things now use AI to do so many things for them from showing you images to giving you whole websites for your business. It does raise many concerns and being lazy and not doing anything is one of the most realistic ones. Also AI should have limitations as if it gets out of our hands a small child could search up the wrong thing and it could swear, show inapropriate pictures or videos.

    7. one they as I was going through the internet with my mother before coming to school some searches were different from others so I could not choose any of them as the correct one. So what I am trying to say is that we should not depend Solly on the internet for our day-to-day activities because it could deceive and confuse you on your searches.

    8. I don't believe that AI has more ruin than advantage to humans because AI has helped humans a lot like in the aspect of education, productivity, digital assistance, health care, minimizing errors, agriculture, and automobiles etc. AI has assisted students in their assignments. AI has assisted doctors in the hospital to prescribe drugs for sick patient and also help in doing scanning and giving out the results.
AI has helped humans in their different profession and make life easier in their area of work. why AI has ruin than advantage to humans because we misuse it and not using it for good and we should stop and make good of it.

    9. really interesting point extraordinary oboe. you have very confirmed information. AI has become very expensive to be allowed to some countries one of them being Egypt last year, but now its available. this is because the loss of money in some countries and them buying more than they sell, also these countries are mostly in Africa as they don't have very valuable things in their land so they were left behind.

  • AI is really making many pupils less concern of using their brains instead their use AI it is true that it is very useful but it is also good to do it on your own

    1. I disagree because... but it makes subjects that are tricky be more understanding because AI can talk without being worn out

      1. I disagree because... even though they talk without being worn out at least they are making it easier for the children to learn, and sometimes they do not program AI to talk without being worn out sometimes they program the to make it fun so that the children might understand it better and entertain them

        1. I agree with you because...
"CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE LEADERS OF TOMORROW" children should have the right to use AI freely as it will help their studies be:
          1. Entertaining ( easy use of educational apps)
          2. Builds creativity
          3. Help them do things that they might not be able to do in the school environment, for instance the topic “The Amazon Forest”. Students will be able to use Visual Augmented Reality (VAR) to stimulate the feel of the forest.)
          4. AI can also help identify a student’s weaknesses or strengths. So that the teacher can help them become better.
          5. AI also helps them to do their schoolwork faster.
          6. It also helps break language barrier. For example: Last year I was in a coding class being taught by an Indian teacher/tutor and she spoke Hindi. We used an AI platform to translate what she spoke.
It will also benefit the parent, students and teachers
          Thank you!!!🙏🏿🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏

          1. I agree but not totally, mind you that children now depend on AI and cannot be able to think fast or think critically, sometimes they use the AI to indulge in malpractice during exams or tests, yes actually it is benefiting for the parents, students and teachers but students should be supervised whenever in use

          2. I agree because... we all know that children are the future tomorrow so they should get a chance to use AI so that when some of them grow up to become scientists they can use AI to improve the life of themselves, their families and other people around and close to them, so let us give chances to children even though they small they can still use AI to make difference in the world.👍👍💖

    2. I will not completely disagree with what you have said because AI has a good number of percentage in making students lazy but i do not think it is for all the students that do abuse the use of AI, a lot of students has used AI in somany positive ways including creating of reading time table for students, help them with questions to answer, giving students advice on their weakness and strength which will be able to advance their thinking ability, i will disagree with you saying pupils are less concern with using their brains, and do not forget that AI is an assistant which means it is just there to help you and give you ideas on what to do. Thank you

      1. A great point that AI is an assistant and should not be relied upon.

        1. Indeed AI is not to be relied but rather an assistant for those who really need it especially in very critical situations like some assignments for students, research on some content for scientists, diseases and sickness for doctors etc. But then AI is not meant to be used everytime but only when the situations are critical because it is just meant to assist us and for us humans we are not meant to rely on it.

          1. I agree with you! You're right, AI is like a helpful friend who can lend a hand when we really need it.
It's super useful for big tasks like research, medical help, or tricky problems. But for everyday stuff, we shouldn't rely too much on AI. We need to use our own brains and think for ourselves.
Let's use AI wisely, like a tool to help us, not a substitute for our own thinking. That way, we can stay smart, creative, and independent!

    3. I agree because to me AI is good and helpful but it also has a negative and positive side and it was made to help us but we they humans are they one's who rely on it which makes us stop using our brain to think and reason but focus on the help that the AI is given to us. Also AI is good because it helps the children who don't understand things such as;
      1. Homework
      2. Research
      3. Argument
      Thank you!

      1. Can you tell me how you think AI will help an argument?

        1. Hello Eva! AI could help in an argument (if the "argument" was an opinion, not a disagreement) by analyzing many sources that can support your opinion on something. For example, if you had an opinion that dogs are better than cats (which they are), you would ask AI to find and research a study that was very credible and take information and from the study that can best support you argument.

        2. One of the most important aspects which differentiates AI from a regular person, is the ability to remain unbiased. From small arguments like who's better between a cat and a dog to life changing choices like which field has got more to be explored in the future, AI can be programmed in a manner where it represents itself as the preposition and oppostion of the same thing. These factors can help foster a sense of reliability and mutual trust between AI and humans, much important for it to become helpful and support the people who do not really specialize in a matter.

    4. I agree because this is literally happening in the whole world and it is not right especially for students like me. Nowadays students are been given assignment they will go home and instead of answering those question on their own using their brains and using materials around them to make instances, they begin to look for devices to browse websites like:
      1.chrome
      2.chatgpt
      3.goggle assistant
all this are note good for them. i am not saying that the use of AI should be stopped instead students out there in the world should try to think to some extent before contacting the AI for more results.

  • Unequal access to AI is also a reason which makes it not yet sustainable.
The people who've got access to AI will be more benefitted , but at the same time, also has a big chance of misusing it.
There should definitely be access to everyone for using AI, but should ensure that they use it wisely. Which makes AI sustainable.

    1. I totally agree with your point that people who have the opportunity to use AI have great chances of misusing it for irrelevant stuffs. I do have a question to ask you do you think that AI should be for some certain people in the world considering their age not their occupations?

    2. I hardly believe that AI is becoming now a part of our daily routine. But have you every thought how to use it correctly?
Well, usually students answer questions using many sources mostly from AI to submit them at school; that is one of the people’s mistakes.
One the other hand, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t use it at all.
We can use it, for example if you had forgotten the meaning of a word, a synonym of a word, etc... .

    3. Yes, I agree with you. If everyone does not have equal opportunity to use AI as one country is going far the other is left behind bringing more dependency to the country using AI. Such countries become dependent on high decision making, data analysis, health care etc on the countries leading to lack of technological sovereignty and increased reliance on different countries hindering their development which can also be of help to other undeveloped countries.

    4. You have a really good point, that access of AI shall be given to everyone and as an addition in my suggestion, the insurance that shall be made that AI is not given in the wrong hands, to do this, AI platforms should make the code of the AI secure so that no sort of malware be inserted in AI and that AI should have the capability to detect what's right and wrong via comparing the given input through the source code of the AI . some of these improvements will be beneficial to the environment and for the entirety of humanity.

    5. I'm not sure about this because,Sustablity is more important than AI and can be avoided by avoiding the use of AI.

So my question is, how does AI sustainable to the world if used wisely, and what are the disadvantages?

  • I think we should limit the use of AI for the common people. As with computers, we are at risk at leaving developing countries behind. Only those profit, who have acess to it. This will expand disparities, where in the future, we will see developing countries not being able to catch up to developed countries. No acess to AI often also means no acess to the Internet. This is where it gets severe: It is like one student having a excersise book with all the necessary informations and one having just a small, outdated and with limited information filled book. That is not what we want as a society, right? The developing nations should invest more money into the education system of developing countries, to give them basic needs like computers and Internet acess in all schools. Unfortunately, this is not where we are headed.
Therefore, I think we should limit the use of AI to the scientific field for now, as only there we can see relevant progress be made. AI should make people's lives' easier. But it is simply not fair that not everyone has acess to it. Developed countries also are at risk: Through the important role AI plays in many people's lives, it is easy to spread misinformation. As we have seen, AI is only as good as the material it was trained with. We have seen racist or sexist prejudices implemented in AI. This may lead to a information war, where AIs and traditional media fight each other over the accuracy of their informations. Furthermore, AI creators could manipulate their AIs to strategically spread misinformation. This is a serious threat.

    1. I agree strongly because If we have a limit then we Can you give the planet costs as well as also having some support and comfort like chat gp or anything else like a human ai bot this is really sustainable and also helpful although ai is unsustainable as long as you keep a really really low limit we can see the world and help the world to improve I love to reading your point thank you for listening to me and I hope you have a good day

    2. You make some great points here.
Do you think there is a possibility that the use of AI in developed countries could benefit those without access to AI?

      1. Kind of. It really depends on how you use AI and what you are aiming for. For example, the average person in a developed country who uses AI doesn't benefit those who don't have acess to AI. Though, as mentioned, AI can make a big difference in scientific research. For example, the use of AI in the scientific field of a country could make the supply of food in developing countries better and more efficient. Or there is a new PC developed through the help of AI, which is not only easier to build, it is also fit to be supplied in devloping countries. These and only these use cases could benefit those who don't have acess to AI. Other than that, I see no use of AI in developed countries which could really be beneficial for those who have no acess to AI.
I think it would be best if we limit the use of AI to the scientific field until everyone has acess to it. Additionally, there will not be many use cases for AI in the gerneral life of the avergae person. Sure, it would help them, but all of the daily taks of a normal person can also be done normally, without AI.
Therefore, I think that there is definetly the possibility that the use of AI in developed countries can benefit those without acess. But the target in the long run should be to give everyone acess to AI, as this would prevent the dependence of developing countries on developed countries.

  • No is not fair because AI needs internet in order to access it,many people in the rural areas don't have access to internet and digital devices like computers, smart phones and laptops.
AI has made an environment where people don't have to use their minds to solve issues affecting them, hence it will make man lazy and they will not be able to think critically.
    AI has more disadvantages

    1. I agree because... in my area AI isn't even existable as me the use of AI should be limited

    2. Yes AI has many disadvantages but it also has advantages, AI certainly makes work faster. I believe it is not fair that some people have access to it and others don't, just imagine a classroom setting where some can afford AI tools for learning and others can't. What do you think will happen to those who have access to AI learning tools and those who don't? One thing that might happen will be that some schools will be produce more confident citizens and others less confident. Schools where the teachers use AI tools for writing lessons will generate different and many ideas to use in teaching while teachers who don't use AI might not be able to come up with such ideas especially when they are tired and stressed. Having AI learning tools for all schools and students if possible will be great.

    3. Do you believe AI will always make man lazy? Can you think of any areas where AI could be helpful?

  • -AI should be available to everyone, makes things easier for not just a selected number of people
-Countries with AI are more likely to have more developments and easier solving of issues affecting them compared to those that don't, developmentsvare slower to them
    -

    1. I do not agree that everyone should have access to AI, I believe that if everyone has access to AI there is a chance that it will increase the risks of cyberattacks and job displacement. If there is widespread access, it will also be difficult to regulate it and stop any potential damage or destruction. Providing everyone with AI is capital intensive and very expensive.

      1. I strongly disagree with your comment because everyone is meant to use what ever they feel like using because it would be unfair if some certain people use AI while some do not the only thing I can say is that some content should be restricted instead of restricting people from using AI

  • I think AI makes people lazy. People can give their task to AI and it will finish the task really quick. Humans will basically do not need their brain anymore, because AI is doing everything for them. It could happen that a country that has access to AI will have a generation that can’t do task by themselves, because they are used to give their tasks to AI. It is not harder to survive without AI (5 years ago we all survived without it). If you didn’t ever use it then you won’t feel a difference. Countries without AI could have higher IQ in a long time comparison compared to countries with AI. It is better if people don’t have AI, because people have to learn something, to keep their brain running, what is easier without AI. I know many people who are doing their tasks with AI instead of their brain. If you learn something it’s good, but those people I know are just copying what AI wrote. But I think AI has many good features, e.g. it can help us by formulating texts or correcting them. It can also safe much time by searching in the internet for us and give us a conclusion of what it found. We are able to learn with AI, but we have to want to learn with it otherwise we can’t.
In conclusion I think AI can help people, but also can make people lazy. It is unfair that in some people have access to AI and others don’t, because AI can help with many everyday problems.

    1. I think the same thing as you do, yet there is one thing it has the power over , and its the fact that there are things that we do ,that could basically be replaced by Ai , which is a good thing because we can do way more other things , even thought there are good things I also think that there are bad things , such as job replacing , due to its cheap and convinient price Ai could replace so many jobs and let people poor without a paying job , the companies could replace a peoples job due to its easiness , to the company its also better just to buy the premium pack of Ai and fire those people , for the companies economics its a good thing , it reduces the money that was spent to pay peoples job , buuut the efficiency of that job could never be compared to the human one , it makes it really special.

  • In my opinion, I do not believe that it is fair that certain countries have access to AI and others don't. AI has become an everyday use in more economically developed countries . However, countries that are in poverty may not be able to go on google and search up things they need to know; play games or even text their peers and update them on recent events.

So if AI was justly distributed to all then I believe that then it would be fair. Therefore, more and more energy would be used and make climate change worse. How can we fix this?

    1. I agree with you that it is not fair. In my opinion AI is a highly advanced technology and a lot of areas in the world are yet to be fully exposed to other inventions before the advent of AI. You know a lot of cities are trying to catch up with more advanced countries and then comes AI. I know that if villages gain access to AI, they will experience a wide range of positive transformation like improved healthcare as diagnosing diseases, monitoring sick people, and even getting healthcare to the interiors of our villages will greatly save a lot of lives. Have you thought of what could happen in such remote places if AI powered tools can be used in education? As long as there is unequal access to technology, inequalities will continue to exist and remote villages without electricity will always be left behind.

    2. I agree with you encouraging_clarinet because every countries should be able to use AI otherwise it's not fair and it should be fair

  • On one hand ai helps us in many ways and make our works easy .. Actually it was good if we handle it with carefullness.. If we are careless about it we need to face big issues.. So it depends on us ans how are we handling it. And also some people don't know to handle it and they may post some wrong information.. Handlling ai also needs some kind of knowledge

  • It is not fair that some people get access to AI and others don’t. Everyone has highly productive reasons as of why they need to use AI. Doctors use it to save lives, scientists use it to save the world, university students use it for research and forest rangers use it to prevent afforestation. If these people could use AI (even though it isn’t sustainable), they could make the world a much better place. On the other hand, people like online shoppers don’t really need it because they can live without a bargain or two. It is not essential to go buy a piece of clothing for a pound. However, there are some people in between. Does the owner of a big online shop need it? Do parents need it? With queries like these, I would declare that everyone should be allowed access to AI. It can help everyone because it reduces errors, improve healthcare, increase efficiency, analyse information correctly, prevent environmental issues and many more.

    1. You consider the argument from both sides, and I like that you come to the conclusion that everyone should be able to use it eben though some people don't need to. Why do you think this?

      1. First of all, the question is: why shouldn’t everyone have access to AI? Even though scientists and doctors need it for saving lives and saving the world, ordinary people need this as well. It could help them for costs saving, mental and physical health and even to get a job. Everyone should use it because they need it for some reason or the other. However, a crucial rule is that we should use it for sustainability. If everyone used AI to be sustainable, then we could slowly reduce the amount of electronic waste that AI has produced. AI could come up with resolutions to climate change, we just need to be intelligent enough to make this happen. There could be a world with AI but no climate change, and everyone is relying on us to make it happen.

  • Underdeveloped countries were left behind during the distribution of AI. In the community I live in people are still struggling to get basic amenities such as water and electricity. Multiple people around the world are struggling for such amenities. In the long term, underdeveloped countries can remain underdeveloped if AI doesn't reach where they are.

  • Ans.1 Yes,in very few cases,I think that it is fair that some people have access to AI and others don't because there are many bad people like hackers and scammers who misuse AI. I think these kind of things could be done only by the people who don't actually know how to use AI in a good and supportive way. So,if these people don't get an access to AI,then that's actually a good thing. But, it should never be this way that the people who really want to access AI for good work and for the betterment of the society are not getting the access to it,those who really want and need AI for good work, they should get it or else there would be no progress. My point is - those who know how to use AI for good, they should have the access, but those whose intentions are not good and want bad for the society, should not have the access.

Ans.2 If the access to AI is on the higher criteria like governing a country, it's not fair that some countries have the access to AI and others don't. Every country deserves development and progress. Every country deserves AI. If only a few countries would have the access to AI,then the rest would be really under developed, which is not fair. In this situation my point is that every country deserves AI, progress and development,no one should stop any country from access to AI.

    1. I really like the way you have reasoned your answer, thinking of many different perspectives and senarios. Well done

  • I think it is fair for some people and some jobs to use AI and others don't because some people use AI for the right purposes and others use it for the wrong purposes like those who use AI to cheat in exams.
Unlike the ones who use AI for the correct purposes like using it for research.
So in conclusion AI is both good and bad at the same time.

  • No, it's not fair that some people have the access to AI and others don't. It's like some people are using AI to make their lives easier and more fun while others are left out. It can make things more hard for the people who are already struggling. Everyone should have the right to benefit from AI so that the world can move ahead together.

  • It's not fair that some people and countries have a better access to AI , while others do not because due to this inequality is created . For example, some countries have advanced technologies and AI , that will improve their education , healthcare, economy etc, while on the other hand the countries which are not able to afford such advanced technology will stay behind in improving.
In my country, the AI apps used for studies , have made studying much easier but the children living in the poor areas who do not have devices or knowledge about AI platforms lack behind .This shows the unequal access to everyone . In order to fix this issue AI should be made available to everyone and affordable . If everyone has equal access to AI more people will make progress in their lives.

    1. I sincerely agree with you and since its not fair , i think they should remove AI completely from some sectors of life so as to reduce the level of the inequality it is causing .. Also , AI according to research can cause mre harm that good especially to the environment so i think it should be strip off until a sustainable way of using AI is accomplished

  • I do not think that restricting some particular people from the usage of AI is fair, this is why i said so, AI has come in other to make the world a better and easier place for us therefore it will not be a wise idea for it to be erased, this is because without AI, humans can't do many things and even if they do, it will either take a lot of time, or contain many errors leading to numerious mistake in human activity, for instance with the help of this AI doctors are able to dectect diseases faster and also prescribe a drug to such diseases while it also helps the scientist in discovering climate changes and spotting problems concerning the climate, thesame AI also helps farmers in enhancing their farm and educating them on how there farming will come out with best result, so no need of erasing this AI that have grately contributed to the welfare of human.
So because of this things which we are gaining from AI, i think that AI should not be restricted from any person or any group of people at all, this is because since the creation of man, man have been striving to make the world a better place and AI has been programmed in a way it is making everything easier for man, therefore it should not be limited to some group of people.
Now if we restrict it from some people, what if that same people that have been denied of AI can actually come up with the idea that can make AI to be sustainable, who never can tell what one is capable of doing until one is been giving the opportunity to try such thing.

  • I agree with passionate opinion AI should be available to every one, to make things easier for every one. AI is too helpful, some people are still thinking that AI is bad but it is not bad it is soo helpful it helps people to manage their time, and do soo many important thing using AI, not remembering that AI had helped soo many people in life, it also developed some country I.E UK, China, India E.T.C, for those of you who are saying that AI is not useful in our country my opinion is that we should keep AI available for everyone AI is soo helpful THANKS

    1. How do you think we can ensure AI is accessible and beneficial for everyone, regardless of their location or circumstances?

  • i feel that it isn't fair some people to have access to AI while others don't.
Taking for example in healthcare, we are well aware that AI has been used in different spheres in healthcare such as better diagnosis of patient, montoring the health progress of patients etc these privilledges can only be enjoyed by people who can access AI , for those who can't access it maybe because they don't have access to it like in rural areas and undeveloped countries they can't enjoy an improved healthcare system making their healthcare system less efficient or standard it doesn't sound good.

  • I think it is not fair that some people get to use AI and others don't, because AI are machines that are being created to make things easier for us, so should it be that those who don't have access to it that things are not meant to be made easier for them? So I suggest that if Ai is meant to be made it is going to be for every body if not so then it should be removed.

  • Hi there,
In my own point of view I don`t think AI should have some restrictions for people, because a lot of people needs AI in their daily life to survive
Even the farmers that everyone thinks needs doesn`t need AI actually needs it because it is the AI that help check their crops they produce and tells them when it is time to apply fertilizers, then it is still the AI that tells them when it is due for harvesting and after they harvest it, it is in turn sold to us which we then cook and eat if they are not treated fair the world might die of starvation and hunger which will lead to death of many individuals in the world.

    1. How do you think AI can be made more accessible to farmers and others who rely on it for essential tasks?

  • I think AI can help in so many ways for example to know about something you have not done before like when you want to cook a food that you have not cooked before AI can help you with the steps on how to cook the food . Ai is a technology that helps us gather data and make research about a particular topic , helping is make reasonable decision.

  • When talking about justice of course based on countries it would be unfair but when talking about advantages and disadvantages, the countries that do not have ai in use will require more man labour , will increase government expenses, the ability of prediction based on previous data and calculations will be lesser the country might have a loss in terms of creativity and also financial loss may take place. On the other hand it also has advantages such as dependency on machines will be less, more emotions can be expressed by humans and their tasks and also the human mind skill would be polished by working harder , the accuracy and reliability would be increased also machine making cost would be decreased.Overall life can be much easier and happier but summing up countries that have ai are much luckier…

  • Well in this case it is not totally fair that some people have access to AI and others don't as it will leave others undeveloped and make them slow at doing some chores as many of the daily life things as done and depended on AI. It will make a huge difference in the thinking of people of a country using AI and others not using it as the thoughts of both of them will be so different.

  • The sad but true fact that AI is not accessible to some countries still to the date is not fair at all. Although there are many side effects of using AI but, the usage of AI for the country could be a shinning star to fulfill it's dim light. By this ,I mean that the usage of AI in such countries could lead to new innovations as it will impower young minds and will also assist the countries underdeveloped, help recover. If however, this situation continues it might be the cause of genuine problems, as in the near future, things might not be so easy as they seem now. People could get easily miss leaded by AI and its miss use could even be the cause of some major issues. So AI if used correctly , is beneficial and helpful but if used in the wrong way would lead humanity to face its treacherous consequences, but still, the accesses of AI is a necessity needed in the modern world and all shall be able to give it a try. To do this, in my opinion, major steps shall be taken by the countries' governance providing the school going children the access of internet and AI and they should get taught about the DO"s and DONT"S of using this neural network.

  • No, In my view either everyone should be allowed to use AI or no one. This is in my thoughts practically wrong. For ex Many countries like USA have the best possible AI technology and on the other side countries like Russia, North Korea have banned ChatGPT. If long term some countries or people have access to AI and others don’t have access to AI there would be a huge difference between them. The people who use AI would have more share in polluting the climate, make their work way easier and the people who don’t use AI would pollute less but work harder.

  • I believe at some point, having better access to AI that others do not may serve as a way for people to work harder in anything that they are accomplishing, rather than slacking off and not doing the work considering that AI is taking care of it. It may make a difference in the long term if some people and countries have access to AI but others don't because some countries may feel as if taking the initiative to complete tasks is beneath them, due to AI leaving a stable base for them to not have to worry about, while other countries must put in the hard work and create a solid base to stand on and support them, therefore leaving a somewhat underdeveloped and less understanding country compared to other countries with complete access to artificial intelligence. Due to some countries having access to AI when others don't, this may raise their capability to deliver more intelligent and developed individuals, further causing them to depend on AI for their necessary and newfound intelligence, as well as lowering their ability to be creative and think for themselves. The other countries, although not as developed, have to learn from scratch the basic understandings and needs in order to build up their literacy rates and other kind of things that requires overall intelligence.

  • It is somehow fair and somehow not for some people not accessible to AI as some believe that AI is not only the source responsible for development. AI is just an alternate to the human brains and minds but at the end humans tend to be more creative than the AI's. AI is a good source of help for education and job purposes along with the development in electronics and many more. There are hardly a few students who do not use google and other AI's in their schoolwork because yes again no one wants to struggle for the thing that is right in front on in simple words we are not putting any efforts in the learning. Soon the AI will be so modified that the students couldn't be trusted with the exams or lies too as anything could be generated and made by AI. If used in right amount and correct ways AI is the least that could harm and the nicest for motivation and productivity. If a person is really hopeful for the future, the use of AI's brain would hardly work for the person as he/she would always stick to their roles. In some cases the usage of AI is unfair as the poor who hardly can't afford books got to need a mobile phone and lot many procedures and apps in it to keep through with the child's study process and progress. The competitions, results and almost everything is connected with electronics and AI but in right amounts every person has to get the benefits of AI so that it doesn't create a burden to them further.

  • Right now AI is the future for advanced countries and this has set the world apart and divided in knowledge for the future and while I agree that every country should have access to AI there should be limitations in which you can use AI, because in this day and age everyone will try and be more powerful than one can handle and that can cause a situation where you have misused AI, although AI will make a difference in the long term we should stop and think will the difference be positive and innovative or negative and ineffective. Saying that I agree with what extraordinary oboe has said because AI will be more negative than positive and will change the way we live for the badder because it has the potential to make humans more lazier and less effective every day .

    1. You make some great points here.
When you talk about AI making people lazier, can you think of any examples from history where people could have feared that other inventions would make people lazier? Is this a general fear of technological inventions?

  • AI can be used beneficially, yet it also has its downside. AI is a huge deal in today's world; you can use it in various ways. However, like most things, it has its positives and negatives. For example, if you are a student and you're stuck on a homework question, your AI can give you free answers to your problem with one quick search. However, If used incorrectly this can lead to multiple issues such as: becoming lazy as well and if you rely on AI too much your critical thinking skills could decrease by a significant amount. I don't think it's fair that some countries have access to AI while others do. As shown AI also has great benefits and could ultimately make one more aware of certain situations going on in the world and that should be accessible to anyone who would want to learn about any topic. One of the many long-term concerns that could occur if this does continue to happen could be the lack of one's knowledge. If various countries continue to have access to AI they will eventually grow and gain more "power" you could say while the rest are left to their own devices. If you think about the situation it is not fair at all because while countries around you are advancing day and night due to AI that's given to them freely you on the contrary have to work harder just to try and receive that same knowledge.

  • In my opinion,it’s not fair but that doesn’t actually mean that is that bad.We can’t all have everything, that is just the world we live in.But if some people and countries have access to AI and others don’t ,this can be unfair and make inequalities between them. Those with access can use AI to improve education, health and jobs, while others will be left behind. In the future this can divide rich and poor countries and people, and lead to unnecessary tension and hate!

    1. Can you tell me how AI can improve education, health, and job opportunities?

  • From my own perspective of view I would say that it isn't fair that some people get the chance to use AI while some doesn't. Why because, as Maggie said AI is like having a knowledgeable friend, imagine if 60% of people in the world uses AI. that implies that the remaining 40% of people in the world doesn't have a friend where by leading them into a state of confusion when ever they are in need of any help or assistance.

So I personally would say that it isn't fair for some people to use AI while some don't.

  • I think that AI should not be limited from any one, because it helps literally every body in one way or the other, for example helps farmers in their jobs, not only farmers but others, so AI should be readily made available for every one.

    1. Do you think certain jobs could benefit more than others from using AI? If so, could you share which ones?

      1. yes certain jobs can benefit more than others from using AI, because it depends on the rate at which the jobs are been handled for example medical doctors who carry out surgeries can benefit highly more, because most of their jobs are been supported by AI making them work more efficiently and faster. other jobs which can benefit more than than other jobs are farmers, their mode of running their job is also boosted highly by AI because thins like planting, harvesting, site selection, fertilization and so on now have AI products responsible for run them. forest rangers also have a high benefit of the AI because the us of motion cameras has already made their works easier, faster and has reduced a lot of risks which was to be taken by the individuals responsible for guiding the forest, risks such as watching the people and animals passing through the forest, some animals are very dangerous that even at the site of humans they devour the human, so instead of the humans guiding the forest to be standing there they rather fix cameras to watch what ever movement that is been made by the the animals.

  • In my own understanding, I think that everyone should be able to use AI, down from the farmers to the scientists, so I am what I am trying to say is that if they say today that parents should be the only one to use AI, what about doctors, scientists and farmers, how do they perform their specific tasks/duties when they say that AI is meant for only one person.
So in conclusion, I would to like it if AI is centered on one occupation but in all aspects.
    Thanks

  • I think, in my point of view, it is not fair that som countries have the opportunity of having the services of AI and others do not. If some people can use it, the rest must be able to use it for everyone to have the same chances of learning and improving their skills.

    1. What do you think could be done to overcome this unfairness?

      1. I think, the businesses in charge of developing the AI, invest money (for giving everyone who needs and want to use it) in internet and electricity

  • I think that though AI is a very powerful tool which is rapidly changing people's lifestyle helping people think, grow and live an easy life but in my opinion AI should NOT be given to common people as AI has creating a drastic imbalance which is making humans lazy and much dependent on AI and it is also destroying the own creative thinking of common man. So in conclusion I think AI should not be in use to common people and even if it's available it should be in a limit and a balance without creating much more reliance on AI technology.

  • Yes, definitely it's unfair but what I think is that there aren't many countries which do not have access to AI , like most countries of the world are developed enough to use AI and there is almost no country that needs an introduction to AI like it's a new concept except some exceptions. I agree with the points you have covered in the video and they are really helpful and knowledgeable. We should also keep in mind that AI might make our tasks easier but at some point it's making us dependent on it. So, just because someone has access to AI does not mean he or she will achieve more in life and it will be unfair for others because at the end of the day it is the efforts put by ourselves not AI which really matters because we cannot be dependent on AI 24/7

  • Artificial Intelligence {AI} is a basic need of almost everybody right now, the growing technology, changing of generations is also bringing change in AI and future techs. Talking about fairness, AI can be helpful but hazardous at the same time! To understand this concept as easily as 123, let me note it down in points:

    1. Firstly, countries who have enough, and perfect growth of AI can work and grow economically, but the ones who don't might suffer in this race of economics, and global market. So basically, this is a situation between rich and poor countries.

    2. Second, countries should use AI but at a limit, if it is used excessively, it might cause harm, and the country might gain dependency and lose their independence over AI.

    3. Thirdly, we can majorly talk about the learning and slow working progress, the countries who have AI and can provide the learners with best use of it and the country will grow, eventually, leaving the other country behind

    4. Countries with AI might surpass the countries without it and make them weak, also the world could miss out on big decisions if the countries don't come together

    5. And last, the cost would only increase making it difficult to handle

so, coming to the brief of above points, it is totally UNFAIR that AI is being used by some countries while others are lacking behind! to get over this, AI should be used all over the world in almost equal manner and countries should also take care that not much harm is done to the nature.

    THANK YOU

  • AI has reached a point where it is extremely useful and beneficial towards everyone. AI is a valuable and advantageous tool that if used correctly, can benefit many different areas as in schools, technology, etc. However, countries that actually need this type of support to help boost their economy don't have access to it. Countries like America and China already have so many resources to rely on, but they still use AI to continue building them. However, third-world or underdeveloped countries don't have this type of technology to be able to help improve.

  • From my view, giving permission to use AI to children is common around the world . Cost of using AI is not only for are planet but it has its own expenses which can not be afford by every person . This has created difference in many areas . The best example of this can be seen in the school were some students belonging to wealthy backgrounds are provided every necessary recourse to perform his task easily , faster and efficiently where those students who can not afford such expenses have stay being unreliable. This scenario creates a huge difference in the academics of the child

  • AI suitability is based on how people use it because no matter how something is good for the right use some people will take advantage of it and use it badly. Some scammers and hackers use it in their own advantage, for example,a woman conned $50000 just because someone pretended to be some big celebrities.l also heard that people are now on serious relationships with AI girlfriends, scientists have now a theory or prediction that by 2050 marriage between humans and robots (AI) will be legal and popular among people because of rapid growth.

  • AI has been discussed throughout the world but in my opinion, it is not fair that AI is only allowed to be used by some people and not others. Maybe it is because some people are richer than others. AI can help lots of people, who are having difficulty in their lives so if some people can't use it, it is not fair to them. This is the same as countries. Some countries are allowed to use AI and some aren't. It is not fair. However, I think that the countries that are really affected by climate change, shouldn't be allowed to use AI because it will just make their environment and country worse. But the countries that are not that affected, can use AI a bit.

  • In my opinion for the first question it can be considered fair for some to have AI and others not based on factors such as economic capability, differential needs, ethical considerations, and the stage of technological development. Access to AI can be influenced by a country, or by an organization's ability to invest in technology, the specific requirements of the sector or industry, and the ethical implications of AI deployment in various context. For the second question I think in the long term, unequal access to AI can lead to significant disparities in economic growth, technological advancement, and quality of life. Countries and individuals with access to AI may experience accelerated development, increased productivity, and enhanced innovation capabilities while those without may fall further behind, exacerbating global inequality.

  • Hello everyone, first of all, I would like to express my happiness to participate in this dialogue and share my opinion with you and enjoy reading your opinions. There is no doubt that it is not fair for artificial intelligence to reach some, whether individuals, institutions or countries, and on the other hand, some have not been able to reach it and benefit from it. Artificial intelligence is a technological breakthrough capable of causing rapid development for those who can use it correctly. For example, if a company or institution is able to use this technology in their field, this will actually create a great development that makes them distinguished and advanced, which helps them earn a lot of money, unlike companies that have not been able to reach it. They only use traditional methods that waste a lot of time, and with that, the profit is less than companies that use artificial intelligence. Therefore, AI is an important factor in developing businesses, saving time, and becoming distinguished in their work, which leads to increased profit. An example of this in Egypt is the company Garment IO is an Egyptian startup that applied artificial intelligence in clothing factories, which led to improving production processes in the clothing sector and transforming traditional clothing factories into smart ones. There are also examples of global companies such as Apple and Amazon. This actually affects countries, as countries with institutions that use artificial intelligence grow economically more than others that do not use it.

  • True, the exposure to AI is not same in all parts of the world, but in this world certain things which are basic amenities or necessary things for life in one country are also considered to be a luxury for another set of people, but we don't call that injustice to be unfair. Based on the development and growth of the country the citizens of that country get certain privileges and AI exposure is also one of that kind.

  • It isn't very fair how only some people and countries have access to Ai because I believe everyone needs Ai at some point and should be given the opportunity to work with Ai.. this partiality is basically done because of how expensive and unaffordable is AI for some people (but it is cost effective).

This problem can be fixed if we try to reduce the cost of Ai models. And people should have courses about how to use AI and what are its benefits so that they can give it a thought and maybe we'll be successful in bringing Ai to places that need it the most!

  • I feel that it is not fair that some people have access to AI and others don't because it is the right of every individual to have access to it. Some parts of our country basically the rural areas have less access to AI and Internet... Therefore the people of rural areas are unable to make progress and our less developed. In my opinion I think everyone should be given equal access to AI for better development and strategies.

  • There are some things that are fair and others that aren't.
Let's start with the unfair things:
1- There's a big difference between rich countries and poor countries. Rich countries are way ahead when it comes to AI.
2- Because of point number 1, countries with AI can get richer faster than others.
3- This means there will be more job opportunities for young people in those countries.

But there can be some good things too. Countries that don't have AI might try to work together with rich countries to get richer themselves.

  • It is not fair that some people use AI and some don't. Everybody should be allowed that privilege however the way people use them is the exact reason why it is being suggested that the access be restricted. If people really want the use of AI to be equal, they should use it wisely.

  • According to me, the access to AI should be available to each person irrespective of his geographical location, economical background, status etc. Since AI has a lot of benefits therefore it could prove to be a useful tool for people to improve their situation. Thus unavailability of AI will result in exacerbation of socioeconomic inequality in the society.
In the long term, the unequal distribution of AI can result in exacerbation of present inequalities and it would also lead to birth of new ones. Unequal distribution of AI can widen the knowledge gap between the countries and their residents alongwith economic conditions.
The example which shows unequal distribution- There is a slum near my home where I have observed that some people don't have access to AI or any technology and if some people has the technology but they are unable to use it. As per my opinion the lack of people's interest as well as lack of government's efforts are the reason for this unavailability of AI in this stage.
Thus there is need for effective steps which should be taken by joint efforts of government and organizations.

  • without AI we can not make research and their be no development in some countries such as African countries like Nigeria. yes it is not fair that people make access with AI but others don't .

  • Regarding the fairness of AI access, I believe that it is not fair when some countries and people have AI while others are left behind because of lack of resources. Especially when considering the fact that AI has helped bring healthcare, education, and economic development. Access to AI should be equal, and each country should have the right means to bring AI into their country. Now regarding the second question, from my perspective, the countries that have AI and use it have a huge advantage over other countries. Not only for medicines and new ideas to boost the countries economy, but also military development with weapons and armory. Recently, China and the U.S. have been in a race to not only find the best A.I., but to use it for their country. To me, this sounds a lot like the space race. Two or more countries trying to be the first to make a new discovery or expand knowledge for their country. But what's worse is that the countries are not participating in all of these are races are falling behind drastically. Not only do I believe that all countries deserve AI, I also believe that those with AI have a tactical advantage over those without, leading to diversity and inequality throughout the world, striking controversy and bringing new fights to the table.

  • I think it's unfair that some people have access to AI and some don't, that will lead to problems because some countries will be technology ahead from other countries. So all countries should have access to AI.

  • For those who do have access to AI, they can use it for their daily jobs. For example, you have a job in an office, if you are writing emails or interviewing someone new, you can use AI to research different topics about the event and enhance your vocabulary. Did you know that 77% of devices being used have some form of AI? Anyway, on the other hand, it isn’t fair to those who don’t have access to AI, because some people won’t be able to get a job or can use AI’s high-quality content. Also, it isn’t fair to those who are poor and don’t have access to AI because they may need for health and well-being. Access to AI needs to be granted to everyone who needs it, especially those poor and vulnerable. Please can everyone be able to use AI, because that’s fair.

    1. AI is free online, if your working an office job then you would have a computer and internet to go online. Which means it is accessible to everyone who has a computer and internet. So it actually is fair for everyone.

  • I am certain that it is absolutely not fair that some people have access to AI and others don't, it's as if some students were given calculators for a Maths exam on equations and square roots, whereas other students would have to do the calculations by hand. The students who don't have calculators can't finish the exam and end up failing the class.
The same goes for countries. I live in a developed country and I use AI on a daily basis for homework, research, or anything else, it's become a part of my life and the life of many other people. But I know there are kids my age in countries like Malawi (Africa) or North Korea who don't even have access to proper housing or resources, let alone AI and the Internet. These countries are falling behind the more developed countries, and eventually the difference will be so large that we might not even be able to call ourselves a society. It will be as if we were living in different time periods.
Another concern about underdeveloped countries with no access to AI is that more developed countries, such as the USA, might start taking advantage of that and exploit the countries' people and resources. An example given is the exploit of resources in some African countries by some European countries. But this is the sad reality of what is or might be happening.

  • Because few people are educated about AI and some people don't know how to use it and how it help's

  • If some countries are getting an opportunity to use AI so others should also because AI gives us a better aspect of thinking and learning and so every country should get it so they can improve themselves in every possible aspect .If people living in a country are able to get benefit of AI and people in other country are unable to get AI , the people living in country were AI is reachable will find themselves superior and other side in country were AI is not reachable people living there will feel themselves as inferior and will feel they are not the part of this technological world . SO I FEEL EVERYONE LIVING IN EVERY PART IN THE WORLD SHOULD HAVE ACCESIBILITY TO AI..

  • Hello, I think that its not fair that not everyone can have access to AI, which could help lots of people to develop themselves. AI is now mostly used by richer people and i dont think it is fair enough, beacuse mainly, the people who maybe could needed more than others, are the people which cant really afford this extra help, and I think it should change.

  • I do not find it fair that some people don't have access to AI. I live in the UK, where AI is quite popular and only the people who don't work in an office can't access it. Most people use chat GPT (on of the most popular AI tools at the moment) and the data centres are based in the countryside, so our countryside gets ruined from all the carbon dioxide. Personally I think that it isn't the people which feel AI isn't fair, but the planet.
However, if the idea of giving AI to certain people might change the views of many UK citizens, they might think it's no fair. It is in the human nature that when someone is forbidden to use something, they crave it more and the idea could get out of hand.
But, if the government describe that it's the only way to save the environment and save our planet, people might just go along with it. It could be the only way to save the planet.

  • In my opinion its not fair that one person has acess to AI and other no, becuase to the person that dosent got AI it will be unfair and has less assitence that the person who has acess to AI. I think that the difference is this in a comparsion between countries that can use AI and the others countries that cannot whether due to the economy of the country or any other issue there is a big diference becuse some have more benefits than others. However, we have lived 2023 years without AI and we have know who to handle in each situation

  • In my opinion, the AI is a very good tool for humans in instance it increase the scientist’s search in the medical subject or in the facility of daily tasks. But the AI have limits, firstly in the countries don’t have access to AI it increase the inequalities than the developed countries .
Finally the use of AI should be not good because humans can use it for bad ideas or tasks.

  • AI benefits a lot the countries that have it and those countries develop very fast because of it, meanwhile the countries without AI are left behind. That is not fair at all, I think the richer countries should give more technology to the poorer countries so more people can benefit of AI. But that will be very hard to achieve because the more powerful countries will want to hold the power that they have and the other countries to remain unadvanced. This was actually discussed back in 1972 in Italy by a group of prominent AI researchers who raised issues about the power of AI to be hold in the hands of just some countries which will create a lot of inequalities for the other countries and this prediction came true.
The difference between countries is that the ones with AI are more advance in science, medicine and other stuff, but there is disadvantage for the countries with AI because their people rely too much on AI and the people will become lazy and will not think analytical anymore. This is actually happening in my country, the students from cities are not as smart as the ones from the countryside because the pupils from cities just took information from the internet or from an AI and wrote in their notebook, while the students from the countryside conducted research and learned a lot more.

  • In class, we talked about how access to AI is not fair between countries, and I think this is a big problem. In some countries, students can use AI tools to help them learn better, improve their skills, and get better grades. AI can explain things more clearly or make studying easier, which gives these students a big advantage.

But in other countries, students don’t have access to AI. They don’t get the same chances, even if they are smart and hardworking. This makes the gap between students in rich and poor countries even bigger. And it doesn’t just effect the students—it also effects the whole country. Without modern technologies like AI, these countries can’t grow as fast or develop like others do.

It’s not fair that some students get these tools and others don’t. Education should give everyone the same chance to succeed. If we don’t make AI available for all, this problem will just get worse, and poor countries will stay behind.

  • Artificial Intelligence is a great tool thats serving for the betterment of our society and human race overall, however its really astonishing that how some people and countries can access AI at just a span of seconds while many under - developed and developing nations are lagging far behind. Well, the first cornerstone to accepting change and innovation is through education while a staggering 67%of schools across the globe don't have access to the internet while the 33% of them enjoy unlimited access same is in many sectors like healthcare, lifestyle and infrastructure wherein AI plays a crucial role. Its like a classroom full of students where most of the don't have access to video lectures while a minority has the same which makes it easier for them to understand the concepts in a better, productive manner while others have to toil hard just to get that equation right and hence fall behind. Our world is similar to this classroom however when countries with access seem to excel in every aspect, the ones which don't fall behind thus giving birth to discrimination and inequality, in such cases however countries with access can provide with financial aid and support or can offer to share resources to ensure equal access to internet in all regions.

  • I think it's definitely not fair that some people get to use AI but others do not. As AI helps us in numerous things. From simple searches to preventing disasters. If in the long run some countries get to use AI and others do not, those countries who could not use AI will be lacking behind. As our whole world is dependant on AI those who cannot use it will be left behind. This will lead to a domination of countries who used AI to get developed and the countries who could not will be exploited. This happened to me once too. At my tuition one girl who came from a not so rich background and did not have access to the latest tech and AI. She was very smart and topped her school. Yet she always failed to do so in my tuition, as other kids used to write ready-made answers from AI and did not use their own skills. Till I studied their I found this to be an everyday scenario which made the girl very sad. As we saw it is completely not fair for only some people to use AI and others who are extremely talented do not get the opportunity.

    1. It's good to see you give a personal example to make your point. Well done!

  • Any country that makes use of AI means that that country is highly developed and organized even orderly . If there is any country that does not make use of AI that means the country is kind of underdeveloped. Maybe the country might lack progress things become less easier and more harder. If there is a country that makes use of AI continuously or everyday there would be much difference between a country that does not make use of AI at all. A country is usually meant to progress with other things but with the development of AI and other technologies the country might make more progress faster. Assuming if Ai was introduced or brought into that country lots of changes would be made, the country would seem to make progress faster, but if AI was not introduced the country might loose population because citizens of that country might decide to leave the country and go to places were AI might be used effectively and decide to stay there.

  • AI is not fair because of it is not meant for one person, group or country which makes it unfair and even makes it to be harder for people to be able to connect with AI.
So what I am trying to say is that everybody should use AI.
    Thanks

  • In class we taik about AI that it is not fair that people dont have access to AI but others dont. ifAI is used in this countries,we can make access to network.
    AI helps in decision making

  • I believe that everyone should be allowed to use ai because it is extremely useful since ai is intelligence given by humans that should be used by humans is well . Young people should not be allowed to use ai unless they have received permission by an elder or someone who knows what ai is capable of. In the beginning I thought that everyone should be able to use ai however I know believe that only some should be able to use if they are more sustainable and know what it is. Ai is practically a human with more knowledge and no feelings.

    1. Why do you think that AI could be more dangerous for young people?

  • First-world countries as in China, America, and many more have taken advantage of AI. AI had advanced and has come a long way. However, since AI is so evolved, people are beginning to rely on it too much. Most people who use AI as in students depend on it to do their homework. This can lead to multiple bad outcomes as in students not progressing in their academics because they're not the ones doing their homework at night, AI is. Not only that, but scientists and doctors may become too dependent on AI. Some scientists and doctors have already started using AI to help them as in predicting natural disasters, diagnosing patients, and way more. If these professions begin counting on AI to do their job all the time, AI might take their jobs. However, while these first-world countries have so much access to AI, what's left for the underdeveloped countries? They don't have the resources like developed countries to help them predict natural disasters, diagnose sick patients, and more. I am very fortunate to have access to AI and ChatGPT, but countries as in Afghanistan, Brazil, and many more need it more than most of us do.

  • I think the distribution of AI resources in the world is extremely uneven. Such long bridges between a downtown of a city and an area within the 100 kilometre radius is concerning. While the downtown areas use phones, laptops, surveillance, and hub assistants with AI embedded into them but the people of the rural areas barely have cellular network. The modern schools of this date are evolving into using AI Chatbots in mathematics and overall eductaion but the rurals can't leave the chalkboard behind. According to the United Nations report as on March 7 2021, 2.9 billion people still remain offline. With increasing amount of labour needs in urban areas, companies rely on rural working labour bu how are they supposed to keep up to this pace to the modern time. Every bit of evidence stacks on top of each other strengthening the argument. This ever so widening gap between citizens of a country is concerning. Same goes the story with internationl affairs. Some countries have been rapidly bagging revenue while othets struggle for phone service sponsors. This concerning and the gap can increasing multiple times after 30-40 years. I believe that governments shall provide everyone with ample internet and then look to use AI in commerce, trade, etc. in the country

    1. Thanks for sharing. How do you think we could help make AI and technology more accessible?

  • In my opinion, AI has taken developed countries by storm and left undeveloped countries in the dust, as it can do most tasks very efficiently in a short period of time. Is it perfect? No. AI is based off of human data; human data is subject to error; additionally, its memory is not the best.

For example, if you play a Chess game with ChatGPT right now, at some point, it will break and play in a less-than-ideal manner, to say the least. It will illegally move pieces across the board with no further explanation. Although AI also poses issues with copyright, if you told it to produce a piece of art inspired by the Mona Lisa, who owns the prompt? The AI company, the original painter, or the client who made the AI produce the prompt?

On the other hand, AI can help with relieving eco-anxiety, helping quantify large amounts of data, or just providing customer support. This does the raise the issue of jobs being taken as AI continues advancing to no end. It can also make humans lazy, as why work when the machine can do everything for you? This creates a bad environment for humans where innovative thinking is thrown out the window.

In conclusion, certain countries not having AI is both a blessing and a curse, as they don't have to worry about jobs being replaced, humans getting complacent, or AI spreading misinformation. Although, the don't have a tool that can improve the lives of many in their respective countries, as AI comes with other pieces of techniques such as neural networks or deep learning, which help scientists analyze patterns, abstractions and information.

  • AI has really reached the popularity of people and making people want many interest. AI has been really really successful throughout the years on people wanting them even farmers. Farmers have survived so long without these AI'S that they don't need it but they just want to improve their forests and crops, they also want to improve other scenes but it is not necessary as they have worked for so long as many years as they have lived as a farmer and still they are needed. They are perfect and I personally think that they should grow it by themselves to make it originally fresh and nutritious.
I strongly disagree that this is fair for other people although you don't need it still helps people.
Our banks don't really get to afford it that much as they have other things for example rent and others. We need the AI's price to lower down And make it more affordable the so we can do are usual things improve and do better work like you can write it by yourself but sometimes you just need a little help oh and AI isn't really even sustainable for the planet.

  • I will start my comment by talking about what AI gives us as humans, for example doctors and scientists and even teachers and students like us.

First, let's talk about doctors. Doctors use stuff that has AI in it ,like for example: the thermometer, it has AI in it which gives us the temperature of someone and maybe the X-ray it also has AI in it because it tells us if something is broken or not.

Second, let's talk about scientists, I guess scientists are the most people who uses AI because most of their stuff has AI in it and they have a lot of types for example zoo logistics is a type of scientist which studies the zoo animals and the wild animals and even the pets that we have in our houses and maybe they make some experiments on them too!

Third, let's talk about teachers, some schools have smart boards in it and these smart boards are considered like computers and computers are AI and also some schools use laptops and laptops are considered to computers too which is also AI.

Finally, let's talk about students like us, when we use mobile phones or laptops or computers or even a lot of electronics these are considered like AI.
So now let's talk about is it fair for some people to know how to use AI correctly and some people cannot?Well I don't guess this is fair at all so, we should find some ways to make all of the world think using AI is really easy. Maybe by making training on a lot of websites or even making in each country a local place maybe in the capital city of each country which makes trainings for the people who doesn't know how to use AI correctly

  • Ai, is a kind of software that tries to mimic the human intelligence to help humans in their daily tasks. Some developed countries have it But some dont. I believe thats an unfair advantage, rich or developed countries have many types of ai at their desposal and can use it to generate ideas and ways to solve problems, unfortunately poor or undeveloped countries don't have access to it and have to work hard and think hard for their ideas but at the same time i think they will be smarter because they will have to use their own inteligence to think and those countries are going to eventually turn into a developed countries.

  • I don’t think it’s fair that some people get access to AI and others don’t because unequal access to AI also affects sustainability. For example, if people in Bangladesh don’t use it, but North America do, then that means that North America is reducing the world’s sustainability and Bangladesh don’t. It just doesn’t make sense. Alternatively, people like online shoppers and university students don’t need it because they rely on other things such as books and stores. However, doctors and scientists do need it to save the world and the people in it. However, it also depends on whether they want to use AI. Some people reject AI because of fear of job loss, lack of trust and lack of understanding. They don’t understand how AI works so they would play it safe rather than take a chance. In conclusion, I think AI should be granted to those who want it (even if they don’t need it) because it helps with healthcare, well-being, big decisions and many more. There will be some people who don’t want it, of course, but it’s not fair that some people get it and others don’t.

  • I see that a country having AI, and one not is very unfair. While some countries are inventing the best devices in the world with AI, some are still starting to learn how to use AI. Some countries also have poor internet connections, so if they even can access AI, the experience will be much worse. Learning is a lot harder for students without AI because 86 percent of normal students said that they use AI in their studies.

  • In my perspective, it’s not fair for only some people to have access to AI and others don’t. Well, in support of my above statement I would say, that AI has brought a massive change in the economical growth of beings allowing them to upgrade their skill set. Moreover, if people would not have access to AI, they won’t be able to unlock their full potential at the same time learning and graduating to a new step. Therefore, it’s unfair for only few people to access this indelible helping tool called AI.

  • In these present age, I'm made to believe that AI is important in all fields, Farming, education, business managent, finance management and many more, because they assist greatly and take automatic record with less mistake probability than humans. With this AI is relevant in all jobs and will not be fair if there is BIAS in the system or AI taken away from jobs or something like that. Thanks

  • I think that the use of AI is nolonger fair because some people are about able to use AI while other people who do not have the knowledge about AI, so I think that some people should be reduces the way they use AI. I also think that online shoppers should use lesser AI because some of the goods can be found in market so that is why online shopper should use lesser AI.

  • I agree that AI isn't always fair.I think that Some people get better jobs because they know AI, while others are left out. This inequality is unsustainable, as a fair society needs equal chances for everyone to learn and succeed.

  • In my opinion AI should be available in every country, but it should have limits and boundaries.
It may seem helpful but some people may use it too much which can have some side effects it can take over their creativity and ideas. But if its used correctly it can be very useful for giving new information and ideas. I think its not fair that its available in only some countries and some not. Such an amazing creation should be offered to everybody because some people need it more than others.

  • The access to AI it’s not absolutely fair, as it creates differences between those who got benefits and those who don’t. In Spain, AI is helping developing sectors such us agriculture, renewable energies and healthcare, but in rural areas and small and not so developed countries, usually don’t have so much access, which create social and economical branches. As time goes on, countries with less access could fall behind countries with access to artificial intelligences. I think, to ensure fairness, AI must be accessible to all, providing equal opportunities and progress in every single part of our planet.

  • I think that if all of us want AI to be fair, it will be fair. Because we can give the resources for the undeveloped countries that lack of the resources needed, and we can ensure that everyone can have access to AI. Its a task that everyone needs to help with, so that we can reach to being all equal and being all available to the use of AI and so that it helps us.

  • AI is in the most developed countries and the developing countries might not have AI so developed countries will have an advantage of using AI and getting their questions answered while other countries will not know and they will not even help them develop their country if they don't have access to AI.

  • I think that in some cases it isnt really fair how some people can take advantage of AI and some cant. For example there are many students who use AI for school and use it for studying, homework, project etc. while other students dont have acces that easily to AI. I think that we should limit AI in some cases but mainly it is really helpful with many things and I think that everyone should have easy access to any AI source as long as they use it mindfully.

  • I believe that it is unfair that some people have access to AI and others do not. I believe that engineers and people who work with AI and technology pride themselves on how effective and accessible AI technology is, but a ton of people in the world don't have accessibility to it. Or even connectivity to the internet, like the video stated. I know that individuals are enhancing AI and technology as a whole, but they are not worrying about how to make it globally accessible. They mainly make it so that the wealthy or people that are higher up in society are able to use it and make millions. In the US, the economy is not in its best state. Many people are homeless, unemployed, and barely making ends meet. And even if people are middle class, or live comfortably, the upgraded and advanced AI are still not affordable and accessible to them because of the absurd price tag. So, I believe that if AI is continuing to become advanced and make a staple in society, then the priority should also be accessibility

  • Have you ever compared a country that is full by the brightness of the sun with a dark country without the sunlight? This is the same situation when you compare a country that can afford AI with a country without AI.

It is not fair when a country that cannot afford AI is compared with the other countries that can use AI however the countries that do not use AI can avoid a lot of problems such as the lack of creativity and innovation. This can help the students and employees gain more information and this will help each one has his or her own technique. Secondly, these countries will reduce the waste of electricity, water and even energy because they are not using AI. This will reduce the Eco-Anxiety. Also, there will be no replacement between humans and AI subsequently there will be no unemployment.

  • Let's start with positive thoughts.. AI has made our works easier.. It saves our time in this world we are in the stage where we can't live without AI.. But it also leads to our laziness.. We are also using AI where we need to show or share our own thoughts.. And some helath issues can also lead to us like obesity. We need to used AI only for guiding us and we should not be depending on that alone

  • Today, artificial intelligence can be used by everyone since there are applications that generate what you ask for and when you need it. From my point of view there are people who need artificial intelligence because their work depends on it and therefore they should have more rights to use it, although on the other hand it is something created so that everyone has access regardless of whether you need it or not. No, which can be good or bad depending on what you use it for. For example, someone who is starting their business and needs to create a logo or design the brand will need it more than a gardener; On the other hand, a scientist or a doctor will need it much more than a content creator or clothing store owner. Who uses it and how often depends on what they do, but we should all have the right to use it since nowadays everyone needs it.

  • In my opinion,I believe that somebody like a doctor deserves AI the most. I think this as they would most likely need AI for creating recipes for medicines and to check on peoples health easier. As well as this, this could impact the world massively (in a good way) with future illnesses and viruses.

    1. Can you think of any down sides to doctors being able to use AI?

  • Personally I think AI will eventually take over the world, but there is many reasons for an engineer to have AI. An obvious reason is like when you need help with something, you would probably use something like google which is a bit like AI but not exactly AI. It could help with many things that even a fully trained engineer wouldn't know. Secondly, I think that an engineer might need AI is that someone would call and AI could answer like when after someone not answering a call, ( voicemail) it is not a live person speaking. Once they hang up they would have said their address if their car would not start at their house or anywhere really. AI will then show the address on a screen ready for the engineer to come and help. SO really AI would be pretty useful to an engineer.

  • I think AI will take over most countries . I think that if AI will be in most countries this will help the doctors this is because the doctors might need something to cure the people if they had cancer. As a result of this, I think AI will become more intelligent as years go on. Around 2030 I think AI will soon take over the world. In last weeks lesson, we chose who we would agree with and I chose the doctor because like I said AI can help doctors because they could help with peoples allergies and there disease.

  • I think that the important point we should be focusing on is not about which country should be
able to use it, it is about for what purpose it should be applied and its importance.
To start with,of course it is not fair that some people have access to AI while others don't,
unfortunately, as we could appreciate in this last few years, the situation for some parts of the
world is getting worse: almost everyone in developed countries is able to use articial
intelligence for personal benefits (I’m sure even you), while in less developed countries most of
the people don’t even have a chance. Talking about my personal experience living in Spain, I am
surrounded by the use of these tools every single day. To put an example, students here use articial intelligence a lot in their researches for some school tasks.

But, sadly, if we keep going this way, the environmental aspect and the situation in poor countries will get progressively worse. Then, what can we do to change this problem?
In my opinion, this topic is extremely difficult to change (due to the current advantage some rich
countries are taking of poor countries and the big lack of resources).
For all of this, I think that the solution is the following: governments and companies should
regulate the use of AI, allowing them only to be used for enviromental and common betefit.
However, if this situation stays, everything will get worse: to sum up, the gap between developed
and poor countries will become increasingly bigger.
We have to make sure we make AI something our future generations will be proud of.

  • As per my thought, AI leads to addiction and illegal activities which is not making it completely trustable and sustainable. Many people are restricting the access to their own brain and completely depend on AI for their every works. Especially students and teenagers are locked in the trap of addiction to AI. Illegal activities like copying in examinations using AI are encouraging the students to do such illegal things. AI is bringing a mind set to students, that I do not want to study any more, AI is always with me to find answer, AI is demotivating the students to study with the access to their own brain. We want to use AI carefully before it occupies us. Ai only to help us, not to replace our brain. Also , Ai will ask our personal information like phone number, email id , which they might sell it for money. Most of the countries are getting into trouble because of this addition and illegal activities of Al . Together, let us break the addiction and illegal activities due to AI and lead a sustainable future.

    Thank you!!!

  • AI is clearly an amazing tool that, as Maggie said, can be used to help several kinds of people in many different ways. But, what will be the consequences if certain nations or individuals have access to AI while others don’t?

In the educational sense, we can think of how It will escalate comparing it to how education can vary depending on a country's resources and power. It is highly possible that, in the future, this matter will end up just as education did: causing an imbalance in the quantity and quality of what is taught in our society. And it is not fair at all! In my country, Spain, most people have access to Artificial Intelligence. However, when it is used by students, it’s mostly seen as something bad by everyone in the teaching environment.

And why does that happen? Well, the answer is quite simple: students don't use it to learn or gain knowledge; they use it to finish their tasks quicker and without any effort whatsoever. Some might think this happens because of the pupil's lackadaisical behaviours, and that is partially right. Nevertheless, it is also important to notice that their their way of thinking was caused by something: the approach to their education.

So maybe, if we want everyone to be able to use AI properly and help spread it to others; we should take a look at how we approach the educational process and how we look at the fairness of what we have, and what others have. And how we can reach a proper balance so that everyone has the resources to learn with this amazing creation that is AI.

  • Scientists, doctors, farmers, teachers, students, writers... They all use AI to get help and improve their work. I bet we can say that AI is useful for everyone. However there are many people who don't have access to it, maybe because they live in a poor area of a developing country, where AI is not available. The access to AI that a person has depends a lot on where they live, but also on their economic situation (many people can't afford buying a computer or a calculator). The lack of AI in some places is just another sign of the differences around the world. It is not fair that a student has access to AI and can use it to get information, do a task or understand a difficult concept and another one does not. They crearly do not have the same opportunuties to learn and and one probably cannot do the same task that the other did. The same applies to any other job or person (A farmer that can use AI to determine how much water and fertilizers put on their crops will get more harvest than one that doesn't use AI). In conclusion, I think that everybody should have resources and tools to grow and improve (but, obviously, only if we control the AI and not let it replace us by just asking it to do our work instead of asking it to help us improve it. The goal is to become a more efficient society).

  • First of all I think it is really unfair that some people can use and have access to AI, but others don’t. Is not the same as computers. I kind of understand that some people can't have computers because they are expensive and complex objects that not many people can afford. But I think AI should be possible for everybody, because everybody has the right of being informed and has the right to search and obtain information for all their curiosities or problems. Having the opportunity of having more knowledge about all the things they want to know. Of course, if it’s used in a correct way.

Now, believing that there are some countries that can not have access to AI ( usually undeveloped countries), I think that in the long-term can cause some changes on society, like, for example, those who doesn’t have access to AI can lose many opportunities actually, because AI can help a lot of people to have an improvement on the world in many ways, for example: with a pretty big range of resources for helping both students and teachers, also, smart assistance, for example doctors, who can use it to take a better care of their patients and citizens. AI can give us very useful information that can make the world progress, having the privilege of developing new resources and making an important evolution, while, unfortunately, the people that have a lack of technological advances like AI, can make the obtaining of sources more difficult and slower, that leads us to have a slower advancement.

  • AI nowadays has found a place in our society, leaving a very clear mark. I think it's totally unfair some countries have access to AI while others don´t. I can guess here, in Spain, the mayority of the population have access to it but there are some places without it yet.
Places without access to AI will be left far behind in areas such as education, health and economy. These, is going to have very negative consecuences in some years. For example, the diagnoses are going to be slower so a lot of people would die. If countries in Southeast Asia and Africa use AI they would solve a lot of problems and radically improve their living conditions.
The lack of access to AI also means that talented people in this countries would faced limited oportunities compared to those in more depeloped countries.
I want to add that uncontrolled use of AI is a huge risk to our critical and logical thinking, the consequences of these are going to be terrible in the future. We need to teach the future generations to take advantage of these tool in a healthly way. It's important to don't became a "stupid" society which depends on a computer.

  • Many countries have AI and many countries don't. We don't know if the countries that get access to AI, get AI in their rural areas if we make sure in some way that when all countries get AI, we should make sure they get it in their rural areas too. If we make sure that this happens too every single country and every single human might have a higher chance to have access to AI. THANK YOU!!!!!

  • I think it's not fair because AI can near enough do anything and I ecspecialy think a scientist needs it because they can spot natural disasters

  • I think that AI can be a bit unfair as it could replace peoples original jobs such as delivery drivers , cashiers and retailers. It is also unfair how they have tried and put hard work into their jobs just for them to be replaced with artificial intelligence.

  • AI is becoming a powerful tool that can shape education, healthcare, and job opportunities. If only certain people or countries have access to it, the gap between the rich and the poor will grow even wider. Imagine two studentsone with AI powered learning tools and another without. The first student gets instant feedback, personalized lessons, and better opportunities, while the other struggles with outdated resources.

A similar divide happens on a global scale. Wealthier nations can use AI for economic growth, while poorer countries fall behind. Instead of AI helping the whole world, it might deepen inequality.

One possible solution? Governments and tech companies could work together to provide fair access to AI, especially in education. If AI is meant to help humanity, it should be for everyone, not just a privileged few.

  • AI is a double edged sword, it could either help a man or kill a man by diminishing one's ability to think. If information and answers are that easy to get, people who have access to AI might tend to be more lazy and less original in their way of thinking.

Is it fair that some people have access to AI and others don't ? In my opinion, yes. People who don't have access to AI will get the chance to be more authentic in everything that they do, meanwhile people who do have access to AI might be more advanced, but lack authenticity.

In the long term, this might cause some countries to be very developed, but lack culture, and some countries to be less developed, but richer in terms of culture.

  • Though AI is very useful to us it also has it's own disadvantage .Due to the fact that everything that we need to be answered is always available for us on the AI .So these makes human to be very dependable on artificial intelligence that even very little things that one can think with his/her sense will rather depend on the AI so this causes numbness of the brain

  • The way AI is distributed around the world just isn't fair. Some people have access to super-smart computers that can help them learn, work, and live better, while others are left behind. This creates unequal opportunities in education, jobs, and healthcare, making it harder for others to catch up. It's like a rich-get-richer situation, where those with AI access have an unfair advantage. We need to find a way to bridge this gap, whether through global cooperation, AI education for all, or encouraging AI development for social good.

  • It's definitely unfair that some people have access to AI while others don't. People who don't have access to them miss out it's potential benefits in healthcare or education. For example, countries with AI systems could have a faster economic growth, making it harder for people to catch up. In my own country, some areas still lack basic tech, making it hard for people to keep up. If we don't make AI accessible for everyone, the gap will keep growing and could be really harmful in the long run.

  • I don't believe that it's fair because AI is a powerful tool for education, productivity, and economic growth. The unequal access could widen the gap between developed and developing countries. In the short term, people with access to AI can learn faster, automate tasks, increase productivity, etc. In the long term, countries with early AI access may be able to develop their AI industry and dominate certain sectors and weed out those whom started late. This can already be seen in the present. In 2019, Wall Street Journal revealed that Amazon's AI was stealing successful products from small businesses. In 2021, Amazon crushed third-party sellers with data collected by their AI. The advantages that AI brings are becoming more and more essential. I think the best course of actions would be to help bridge the gap and make global efforts to provide AI access.

  • AI disadvantages those without access to information and can misguide people with limited knowledge of global development. I also support your view on using it thoughtfully and ensuring its long term sustainability. I think it’s a crucial tool for humans to save time.

  • Artificial intelligence has become very important, especially among young people, but it is very interesting to see the uses we can give it and how many times we want. If you want to know something and have a lot of different information, I think it is very useful, but we would have to see how to implement AI so that most people can have access to it.

  • I think that it isn't fair that some people have access to AI and others don't, because we are all humans, and we should have all the same rights. Although, some times it is complicated to have all the same rights, we should try it, because it isn't fair that some people have some rights and other don't, in this case, the right to access to AI.
If some countries don't have access to AI will probably, be less developed, as the ones which have access to AI, will be making more progress. That is not fair, all the people, cities, countries and continents should have the same rights, including access to AI.

  • That's a great point , and you’ve raised some valid concerns.

  • I personally think it isn't
1.First because it depends if the leader allows ai or has electronics.
2.Second some people don't have enough money to buy electronics.
3.Third what if some people don't live in a place that's very wealthy.
4.Fourth what if the place doesn't have electricty or enough money to provide electronics.
    5. Fifth Some people live in place with alot of poverty so how would they get the ai.

  • The use of AI in writing has created an unfair situation. People who put in effort to write essays and complete assignments through research and critical thinking are often overshadowed by those who rely entirely on AI to generate content instantly. This leads to concerns that AI enables dishonesty and takes away opportunities from those who genuinely work hard. To address this issue, schools and workplaces should implement guidelines that promote responsible AI use. Instead of banning AI completely, educators can encourage students to use standards and teaching critical thinking, we can ensure AI supports creativity and fairness rather than replacing human effort.

    1. What sort of standards do you think would help?

  • I believe that AI is a very sustainable and effective solution however there are some drawbacks to this. This is why it is good some people don’t have access as the risk for harm and danger would decrease protecting people from certain information. There could be a problem though as some people who have access may contribute to problems and cause danger.

  • I don't think it's fair. We could definitely try and make it more even in terms of how AI is spread fairly amongst the countries of our planet. Some countries that are struggling should have more access to AI than they do at the moment. This could make a difference to many people's lives. AI might help with healthcare ways to improve sustainability across the nation. Some countries are keeping AI to themselves when they should be sharing it. Why just help our country when we can help the world? As well as this, certain jobs need a little more help than others do. Overall, AI should be shared more than it is at the moment.

  • I don't think it's fair because people with full access to AI can learn and do things better thanks to the support it brings, while others can't. This creates a big gap between those who have it and those who don't. Everyone should have the same access. Then, if only some people or countries have AI, they will grow faster, learn more and solve problems better while others stay behind, which is already happening in a lot of countries, there's a big gap between the rich and the poor. For example, in the USA, doctors can use AI to analyze medical images, while countries like Chad, in Africa, where access to technology is limited, doctors may lack of these tools.

  • From my personal perspective, even the people who live in rural or remote areas still have unlimited and free access to gadgets, thus finding out about the discovery of AI. The people there might catch up to us sooner or later, as they have a higher sense of curiosity than most of us, who are likely more developed. It doesn't matter whether there's growth in the humans' population in a certain area or not, what's important is about the quality they're willing to offer towards improving themselves and their surroundings.

  • Hello, 👋
I strongly agree that AI has many advantages, but have we ever thought of its problems or its negative impact on us? We as humans will never think about the negative aspects on something that helps us in every single detail in our life. According to the research that I conducted, AI has more issues than advantages. From my point of view, AI is not fair at all because AI requires internet and smart phones or other smart devices to access it or to be used but there are some people that don't have these conditions in their life so it is not fair for someone to use it and get benefit from its advantages and other no. In my own country, Egypt, there is unfairness on the use of AI because not all people in my country (Egypt) have internet or smart devices. In addition, AI has an awful impact on our mental health and it makes some people as if they don't have a mind to use and solve problems and they become indolent. Also, it causes loneliness to some people as they spend most of their time using AI.
To sum up, I believe that AI is not fair for everyone.

  • AI can make EVERYTHING convenient. For instance, in the music industry, small artists can use AI to bolster their creativity, may it be for giving them inspiration or helping them in making music. Revealed in an editorial by WIRED, there are scummy people who view AI as a 'get rich quick scheme.' They dump AI-generated slop into Spotify to make a quick buck out of it. This effectively STEALS attention (and money) from up-and-coming artists who actually put in their blood, sweat, and tears to create an original song. TL;DR, AI is clearly widening the disparity between people that have AI and don't AS WELL AS basically trampling on young people with talent that actually want to create music for the masses!! So, how do we bridge the gap between the people who use AI and the people that don't? Well, in this case, Spotify could further increase their security on people who use AI to get a quick buck. Generally speaking, if we do implement this in the real world, we could put further supervision on people who use AI to unfairly elevate themselves in society.

  • I believe that it is definitely not fair for some countries to have access to AI and some countries don’t. Although, it’s understandable why some countries don’t have access to AI, it’s because some countries are undeveloped. For example, country A has a well developed teaching system so students understand how to use AI, that’s why they can have access to it. For country B, they don’t have a well developed teaching system, so even if they have access to AI they aren’t able to use it. I believe that we should all enlighten the life of our nations, that way we can all use AI together to make this world a better place. If we don’t all have AI, the countries without it could be left behind and can’t enjoy what other countries can do.
In my life, I use AI for studying. It’s incredibly efficient because AI has many sources. Even though I use it for studying, I don’t take advantage of it too much. I still have an effort to make my homework beforehand and if I need help I would ask AI. I found many students taking advantage AI because of their lack of intention and diligence, that’s why we should use AI wisely and responsibly so it can actually be useful for our lives. We must be able to make good use of AI, don’t let AI take advantage of us.

  • I think it is definitely unfair that some people don't have access to AI. Some people might suggested that AI is fair because some of them that don't use AI might have better creativity or more productive, thus they can outshine the people that rely on AI. However, that doesn't mean it's fair. People that lack the technology like AI can significantly improve their skills and innovation if they are given the access to AI. Therefore, it still depends on how someone utilizes it. AI can broaden one's knowledge, especially in this modern era where everything tends to be digitalized. Without it, it would be challenging for those who don't use AI. For example, in theguardian.com, a report by the Institute for the Future of Work warned that the use of AI as automation in companies will result in an unfair advantage among the small businesses and workers unless the UK government provides support for them.

I really think we should help and support those undeveloped countries that lack the technology of AI, therefore creating a fairness and helping them follow the modern world. In long term, countries that lack AI will be left behind and will be facing more disadvantages like slow innovation and reduced competitiveness.

  • It’s not really fair that some people and countries have access to AI while others don’t, because AI can give big advantages for people’s every day lives. If some people have AI while others don’t, it can create a big gap in education, jobs, healthcare, and overall economic growth. The countries with AI will control global industries, economic, and even political influence. Underdeveloped countries might struggle to keep up, which could lead to deeper inequality.

Think of two farmers. One lives in a country with AI-powered tools, while the other doesn’t. Farmer with AI can use AI-powered apps to predict weather changes, detect plant diseases, and suggest the best way to plant the crops. With the AI-powered tools, it can analyze the soil and help improve harvests. That way, the farmer grows more food that are high quality which means more money for the farmer. Farmer without AI relies on traditional farming knowledge and can’t predict weather forecasts. If a disease spreads through the crops, the farmer won’t notice until it’s too late. Their harvest is smalled and they struggle to sell in the market.

So it is definetely not fair that some people and countries have AI while others don’t, AI has so many advantages and when people have AI, they can enjoy those advantages. I believe everyone should have a chance to use AI to improve and advance their skills.

  • I don’t think it’s fair because AI makes life easier for some people but not others and, in my opinion, technology should be accessible for all people worldwide. This can create great injustices, for example, students with AI tools can finish assignments faster and learn more and better, while the students without these tools might struggle to have the same level as the others. Another daily-live example is healthcare, hospitals with access to AI could find diseases faster or treat patients better, but poorer countries might not afford this technology, leaving people with worse care. In my own country, Spain, thankfully most of the population has full access to AI, and we try to enjoy all of its potential. In the education sector is widely used, teachers get help preparing their classes and organizing their calendar. Students also use AI, but it has some risks that teachers should consider. AI could help a lot by giving tips and tools that help studying, but most of them just use it to do their homework for them.
In the future, countries with advanced AI might control most industries, jobs, and even politics, while others stay weak or poor. If AI or robots replace jobs like factory work or farming, workers in countries without AI programs could lose work and have no way to learn new skills. This could lead to more poverty and anger between nations. To fix this, countries need to work together to share AI knowledge so everyone benefits. Otherwise, technology will just become another way the world stays divided.

  • I think that this is a major issue that should be solved . There are plenty of areas that don't have any access to any digital devices, furthermore, they don't have access to basic human needs , like stability in profit , food and shelter. This is a humanity crisis that we should quickly take action on . This problem is very unfair as everyone deserves to have access to AI . This could make a huge difference between countries , as in our lives nowadays, most of countries' weapons and forces are created with the help of AI . People living in these places can also not receive information or news about what is happening in the world. Not having access to AI can weaken many countries in terms of economic development, financial levels and strength of forces. Some of these places may include areas of Kenya. I have seen many campaigns that support the Kenyan rights and needs. These places need our support to build a powerful base for their countries.

  • I agree that it is unfair for people who are not able to use AI just because they live in an area that doesn't allow them to use AI because of missing internet or computers.
One of the biggest problems is that even though AI is not sustainable people with unlimited acces to it use for everything even if it's really unnecessary for example in Germany many students use it to cheat and lets the AI do the work. Not only is this cheating and also not the idea on how to use AI IN school, but also really frustrating for students in less developed countries who could actually use AI to learn more effective but can't because of missing ressources in their home country.
In the long run it means that well developed countries are gonna develop even faster and be more effective in areas like education or analyzing things to predict for example natural disasters.
Countries on the other hand which are far behind will have even more problems with developing because of missing effiency.

  • I believe it's unfair that some strong, developed countries have access to ai and it benefits but weak still developing countries have to do everything themselves.

    • The reason I believe it unfair is because the countries with ai can develop faster while the others are far behind. And it's harder than you would think to make the comeback of the century.

  • In my point of view, I feel like it is fair to make some people use AI and others not . I know that a lot of people are going to disagree with me because we have different opinions but this is opinion but it is not fair at all the time ,it is fair only when making important people or I mean make the people who need AI so much but others ,it is not necessary for them so they don't have to use AI.

  • I believe that everyone should have access to AI, it's not fair that some people don't have this privilege. It's essential that we all have the same opportunities, and it's pretty sad that some parts of the world can't develop or afford AI. I think this will make a big difference between some areas of the world, with respect to countries that do have access to AI and countries that don't. Regarding the consequences that this will have in the long term, obviously, the countries that have more technology and a good economy, will start to develop and innovate AI, and we will see in the world even bigger differences than the actual ones between poor and rich countries, like for example on education, and as a student, i feel very bad for all the people that don't have the same opportunities as the others, but not only in education, but also in healthcare, many people are having a hard time, and i think that just by everyone providing a little help to the countries that need it to complement the requirements so we can all use AI, we could help a lot of people. I also believe that this is why there are webs like this, so that we can all become aware of everything that is happening, because at the end of the day we are all people, and we should all help each other, if we think about it, and each one contributes a little bit, we could improve the world we know today.

  • Hi my name is warm_squirrel and I think that it is definitely unfair as other countries like England have AI and others don't some times we all need Ai especially if you're not that good at planning by yourself even though there are not always right they can be really helpful in appropriate situations

  • I personally don't think it is fair at all as people like Elon Musk and others have free access but people that are homeless trying to raise kids not having any access to AI when they are the ones that need it.They need it more as they are in poverty and they cant get like any help services or help in emergency's.Poor people need it way more as they are ones in risk and need help services in their emergency's as they will most likely have worse emergency's.In my opinion it is not at all fair with poor people struggling to raise kids and give them a good life

    1. An interesting comment. Can you say why poorer people would need AI? What do you mean by help services?

      1. I mean by help services like hospital and police because poor people definitely get abused just for not being like others.I mean just because they are different and they think they cant do anything but if poor people had access to police services there would be way less people that are on the streets nearly dead.Poorer people could also use AI because i think poor people have a lot of emotional problems even if it is an AI robot on a phone i think it would definitely help them.

  • AI has been really developed since few years and is really useful for many things like school, for many jobs, for a country. In fact, a lot of people use it to have some help or to develop his country. However, some countries for example are not developed enough to have the opportunity to have AI. The inhabitants can’t use it and the country can’t have it to help them to develop their country. So, we can say that AI can be unfair because all the world don’t have the same access and it’s not equal for everyone. But I think people who have the opportunity to use can use it but it’s something unfair with countries not developed and can’t have some help with AI.

  • First of all, l think the fairness of AI depends on the situation. Indeed, AI can be employed in a fair or unfair way. As a matter of fact, not everybody has access to it like the underdeveloped countries. It takes to light that AI is for privilege peoples who has daily use and free access to internet. In the end, AI don’t have a fair use of it for everybody, since some peoples have limited ressources in this field. Futhermore, AI is not fair for teachers and professors since students can now cheat on online test or even on the homework that they gave them as an essay. On the contrary, students will believe that it is fair for them to use AI but maybe in a good way. This mean that they employ AI to help them study. Last but not least, Al can be fair but there will always be some inegalities between peoples and their use of it!

  • think its not fair that some schools have the opportunity to use AI and some others not, but AI is getting more accessible for more people around the world, a lot of apps and social media is introducing AI. I think that AI can make the life of teachers and students easier and improve their learning.

  • I strongly believe that unequal access to AI is unfair, but what's even more concerning is how some people misuse this powerful tool. Many individuals rely on AI to do their thinking for them, essentially cheating themselves out of the opportunity to use their own unique minds.

God has gifted each of us with a remarkable brain, capable of incredible creativity, problem-solving, and innovation. When we rely too heavily on AI, we risk undermining our own potential and the value of our hard work.

This isn't just about personal integrity; it's also about the impact on society. If we allow AI to do all the thinking for us, we'll miss out on the diversity of human perspectives and ideas that drive progress.

Let's use AI responsibly and ethically, as a tool to augment our abilities, not replace them. By doing so, we'll ensure that AI enhances our lives without compromising our values or our humanity.

  • I strongly believe that it’s unfair :( that some people get to use AI while others don’t. I think this could change everything, in rich countries, Ai is already doing many things like saving lives in hospitals but in poor countries where hospitals barely have enough medicine and it’s hard that AI could reach there. The truth is, if this continues, the world will split into two. Those with AI will get richer, smarter and more powerful while the rest will be left behind it’s like a race where some start miles ahead and others can’t even get to the starting line. I’ve seen this in my life. In the big cities people are using Ai to learn better but in smaller towns people don’t even have the internet to access this technology.
I think that if we don’t fix this, we will be looking at a future where some people have everything and others have nothin.
In my POV AI should help everyone, not just the lucky ones.

    Thank you :)

  • Many people will be discarange because AI will take all the job opportunity people will have poverty in their family

    1. Can you think of any examples where AI will help rather than take over jobs completely?

  • Some people have better access to artificial intelligence. In Indonesia, difference in internet access, education, and technology means that AI benefits some people while others are left behind. The Ministry of Communication and Information (Komdigi) reported that in 2022, about 12,500 villages in Indonesia still didn't have internet, and around 73.7 million people did not use internet at all. Since most AI tools need internet, the digital "gap" makes it harder for people in rural areas to benefit from AI. To fix this, the government should expand the internet distribution in rural areas by building more communication towers and offering affordable internet plans.
AI can also impact the economy. A World Bank study found out that AI and digital technology could add up to $366 billion to the economy by 2030. However, at the end, most of this money will still go to big cities, making it harder for businesses in rural areas to keep up with the flow. To make this gap smaller, the government and companies can help provide AI training programs for small business owners.
Another problem is that many Indonesian citizens lack digital skills. In 2021, Indonesia's Digital Literacy Index scored 3.49 out of 5, showing that many people don't know how to use AI properly. To solve this, school curriculums can add education about AI. Companies can help organize workshops to teach employees how to use AI tools effectively in their jobs.
By making AI accessible to everyone, Indonesia can make sure that AI benefits everyone, not only the people in big countries.

    1. How can Indonesia bridge the AI gap to ensure rural communities benefit as much as big cities?

  • AI is improving the world so far without equal opportunities for all. In Egypt, big companies do business with AI, research, and even at universities. Most schools have no chance, though neither did small business get such options. This leads to a probable big gap among those people who really know how to use AI and people who maybe will not know.
For example, in rich cities like Cairo, private schools have AI that help us to learn more. However, some public schools' students don't even have computers or access to internet. If that goes on some student will have good jobs but others would struggle.
It is also used in hospitals to assist doctors, but not all do. This means that big cities will have better healthcare than other villages.
If Egypt and other countries don't make AI available at other countries the rich will be richer and the poor will keep being a poor.
What do you think AI could be fair?

    1. How can we make AI more accessible to ensure it benefits everyone, not just the wealthy?

      1. AI has the potential to transform industries, improve healthcare, and enhance education, but its benefits are mostly used among the wealthy. To ensure AI serves everyone, accessibility must be a priority through development, affordable infrastructure, and education.
The most critical reason for the innovational effects of open-source AI is its access, yet high computational costs continue to cut people off from it. It calls for government and non-profit investment in public AI infrastructure, including more efficient AI models capable of running on cheaper devices.
If AI is kept as a tool for the rich, most people won't have the opportunities that may help in life.
        To be fair in AI usage, governments have to;
1- stop AI from being unfair
        2-make AI easy for everyone
        3-keep people's information easy
4- make sure AI gives good choices
        5-helps people find new jobs
        6-Use AI to help people

  • AI is currently revolutionizing the world, but not everyone has access to it, and that's a very big problem, especially for farmers. Many large farms in developed countries are already starting to use AI for things like predicting weather patters and even automating tractors. This makes their work easier and effective. But what about those farmers on the outskirts and poorer countries? They don't have the money to afford AI tools and that's not fair.
Farming has always been hard, but AI can help make it easier. AI tools can help farmers, for example, know when to plant, which reduces the amount of crops that's needed to be thrown away. According to Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), 80% of the food in Asia and Africa comes from small farmers. But these farmers don't get the facilities needed, which makes them struggle with unpredictable weather and small harvests. If AI is only available to rich farmers, why make them? It's just going to make a bigger gap between those who succeed and people who don't.
So what's the solution? AI shouldn't just be for the rich. Governments and AI companies should invest in making AI tools cheaper and easier to acquire for small farmers. There are already example of this working. There's an AI app called Agrio which helps farmers diagnose plant diseases just by taking a photo. AI could help all farmers, not just the wealthiest ones.

  • Maybe yes, because if we allow to every person the access for Ai it can be a complete chaos, not all the person uses the Ai for a good benefit to the society, an example can be the hackers or corrupted scripters who wants to destroy any type of Ai

It wouldn't change much, because there is a a lot of people with a potential with java scripting or more app of scripting that can create a better Ai or something better for the society

I can't think about something that hasn't been said yet, because there is a low chance that the things i say, are already said by another person, but my thoughts about this, is nothing special but there's need to be a certainly control of who can access to the ai

  • In my opinion, AI can be used to develop countries that doesn't have an unlimited access to different technological tools through improving financial mechanism, implementing strategies to be more effective the actual system education with proposes thinking by AI

  • Artificial intelligence is a great tool to investigate but i think that the use is not for everybody. WHY? because of the economic barrier, and one of the problems of using AI is that in most of the schools use it to cheat on works and that is unfair. The works that have been taken for IA is like 2.0 million and that is something unfair because many people graduate for something in specific and then IA comes and take their speciality.

  • In my opinion unequal access to ai poses serious ethical and social challenges. It is essential to promote pilicies that seek an equitables distribution of these technologies to avoid greater inequialy and promote sustainable and fair development .But it also seems unfair to me to think that only people with low resources do not have the possobility of having ai and that the government does not offer them help while people with good resources do not take advantage of this possibility much.

  • Although is not fair this wouldn't be an impediment for someone without access to the Ai to perform the same task as a person who can access to the AI being just a tool to make some taks more fast but is not absolutely necessary so it wouldn't affect that much
the AI can do the difference in the countries but it wouldn't be so significant because the AI can't do the same things as a human and it can generate the same ideas that one human being in one specific area like science, medicine and others so the AI would just be as a regular worker

  • As a person, I believe that artificial intelligence (AI) is not fair. I disagree that it only exists in "developed countries" and therefore doesn't exist in other countries that are not yet developed. Additionally, even developed countries are being left behind due to lack of resources to continue developing it.
Furthermore, more and more artificial intelligences like ChatGPT or META AI are emerging. According to some media outlets, over 50% of students will use these AIs to cheat on activities, tasks, or evaluations. I don't consider this fair for our education and educators, who work hard to learn and teach without cheating.
This is unfair because if we don't do anything about it, our future will only depend on AI responses. Where will social interaction be? Where will humans who read books be? Now everything will depend on AI.
We must also consider that AIs are being developed because many people depend on them. Companies, schools, etc. already have AI-developed products for customers. But what will happen to us in the future? Will we only communicate through AI? Will we study through it? What will happen to future professionals and doctors? Will they only be AIs?
That's why I disagree that AI is fair.

  • Hello topical talk,

recently, many countries gained access for AI and other reliable sources around the globe but some still don't have enough money to buy this access like most African countries which even needs money for basic necessities.

A really genius idea which can be done to form an equal society for AI users is the money that many countries like the US could be used to give availability to other countries which could be easily done as only the US invested 62.5 billion Euros just for AI which is more than enough.

Another solution is to make a version like deep seek which takes less power and is for free for all regions for humanity. for some people its more affective for giving simple or detailed answers which depends on the order. Fun fact, Deep Seek was made in chine specifically in the city of Hangzhou in southern China. Thanks for reading!

  • It's not fair, because AI can improve education, work, and health. If only a few use it, they move forward while the others lag behind.
More poverty and inequality: Rich countries will use AI to grow, while others will depend on them.
Fewer opportunities: People without access to AI will have less education and quality jobs.
More power in a few hands: Companies and countries with AI will dominate technology and information.
Differences in security and control: Countries with AI will be able to defend themselves better and make better decisions.

  • I think AI is unfair.
Firstly, it is very clear that larger and more developed countries have greater access to Artificial Intelligence. However, in places like North Korea, China, Venezuela, Iran, and Belarus, the use of AI like ChatGPT is prohibited. One of the reasons behind this is, for example, that in New York schools, students use ChatGPT to create essays and do activities that look like they were made by humans; which led to the decision to ban the use of these AIs in these schools.
Furthermore, countries that have this great access to AI can misuse it.
To solve unfair access to AI, I think there should be a course that teaches how to put AI to good and useful use, doing an evaluation by a human, to really confirm that you are qualified to use it and have it. People who, regardless of resources or nationality, after taking and passing the course, appear to make intelligent use of AI, are approved and validated to continue using it.
The course can be implemented in schools, workplaces, and anywhere nearby that has access to the internet and an electronic device.

  • No, because nowdays AI is a key piece for the development of a society and even in a person, and this clearly becomes unfair because AI can help educational, informative and social issues, therefore this acces can be considered as a benefit that we can have in the long term.

The mental and technological development that can be exercised due to the acces of AI, this greatly influences the advancement on new phones, applications and electronics with the use of this, therefore stessing that the lack of AI can not affect both a society today is wrong not to see a possible development in this new technological era, based on at least one use of its own AI for each application or program.

  • it is not fair since some countries using this tool are helping their community in all aspects and in as many situations as posible

by not being used equitably some will be more benefited than others and it will not be so fair,I do not agree since other countries may be more evolved in all aspects than others, but in this subject I say that everyone should have the same equality since everyone has the right or everyone must have and opportunities and the same equiality since everyone has the right or everyone owes an oportunity to get ahead and archieve everything proposed and wanted, and thanks to AI different opportunities can be archieved only that when not everyone is benefited, they are harmed and the opportunities said and loved are not posisble

  • In my opinion, this issue of AI and that some people use it and others don´t seems fair to me because AI is something necessary and especially at these times, I suppose there must be something that helps us all as a society to have a little of this invention that helps the progression of humanity, because if some people or countries do not have this, they could lose tho progress of certain issues and changes, facing different problems.

  • It is not fair that some people and countries have access to AI while others don't, as it widens the gap between developed and developing nations. AI has the power to improve healthcare, education and economic growth but if only certain countries can afford and develop it, global inequality will increase.

In Egypt, AI is already transforming private sectors, such as banks and healthcare, but many public institutions still lacks access. For example, AI-driven medical diagnosis tools could improve healthcare in rural areas, where there is a shortage of doctors. However, without proper investments, these technologies remain limited to private hospitals in big cities like Cairo and Alexandria.

In the long term, if AI remains limited to certain countries, those with advanced AI will strengthen their economies and technological leadership, while others risk falling behind. To promote fairness, Egypt should invest in AI education, expand digital infrastructure and support local innovation, ensuring that more people can benefit from AI advancements and contribute to the country's progress.

  • i am not entirely sur that artificialintelligence is going to replace our abilities, i think can serve as a valuable tool to help us think better . By thiking care of monotonous tasks like searching for information or salving match problem .AI frees us to focus on whats really important like findig creative solucion to significant challenges or helping others . the essential thin is to use IA in away that supports us and does not prevent us from moving forward

  • I believe that it is not fair for some people to have AI and others do not.
Wealthier countries have AI as a resource while the underdeveloped countries have little access. So, I think there should be a limit on the use of AI globally so it could be used wisely. This results in less reliance on AI and forces people to stop being lazy. Some individuals often misuse AI to tell them the answers to their homework, or use it for misinformation to trick people online.
Therefore, I think that AI should be limited for the benefit of jobs as AI can provide them with information that they will need. Some examples of jobs that will require AI are doctors and scientists. With the use of AI, it can improve workers' experience for example, time management, research, and flexible amounts of options.
To conclude, AI should have boundaries set to improve the fairness of AI use.

  • I would say that access to AI is not equal, and this raises concern about fairness. Wealthy individuals, large corporations, and developed countries have greater access to AI technology, while many people and nations lack resources to develop or use AI effectively. This gap creates an imbalance where only a few benefit from AI advancements, while others are left behind. AI has the potential to improve healthcare, education, and economies, but if access is limited, it reinforces existing inequalities rather than solving them.

In the long term, unequal access to AI can widen the gap between developed and developing countries. Nations with AI capabilities can automate industries, improve efficiency, and drive economic growth, while others struggle to compete. This could lead to job losses in regions without AI access and give counties with AI a political and economic advantage. If only a few control AI, they may shape its development in ways that serve their interests, rather than ensuring fair and ethical use worldwide.

A balanced approach is needed to make AI more accessible. Governments and organizations should invest in AI education and infrastructure in underserved areas. Open-source AI tools and international collaborations can help bridge the gap. If AI is developed with fairness in mind, it can be a tool for global progress rather than a source of division. Ensuring widespread AI access is a key to a more equitable future where technology benefits everyone, not just a privileged few.

  • From my point of view, it's not fair that some countries have more access to AI and other countries don't have those priviledges to give AI a try. AI is trending right now in developed countries with its advances, while in other countries, mostly undeveloped countries, it's hard to have access to AI or even the Internet. AI is having a big impact in social media and it will leave a mark in this generation for sure, as well as it will be a common resource in future generations. That's why I think that is not fair that some countries have it more difficult to have access to AI, because with the impact of it and the new technologies, AI could help countries develop and even more and more people could have more oportunities to be succesful and help the world.

    1. I agree but some countries don't have access for AI for a reason and maybe this reason is because it is illegal in some countries, or it is limited time for AI so these countries can't use AI like most of the other countries and this may be a good and healthy thing not to cause a lot of reports in the eyes from screen time or AI and also t could be a negative thing because some people WORKS using AI so when there is no AI available at the moment this may cause some employees to get fired for not doing work. So not having AI can be a good thing or a bad thing.

  • No, it's not fair. Have you ever compared country that is full by the brightness of the sunlight with a dark country without the sunlight????This is the same situation when you compare a country that can afford AI with a country without AI However the countries that don't use AI can avoid a lot of problems such as the lack of creativity and innovation. This can help students and employees gain more information and this will help each one has his or her own technique, and also at the same time these countries will reduce the waste of electricity, water and even energy by AI. This will reduce climate change and pollution and also there will be no replacement between the humans and the AI subsequently there will be no unemployment. GREENHOUSE GASES will not be spread in
these countries because there will not be AI
ON THE OTHER HAND, without AI, there will be little knowledge between people, without AI, people will write on paper moreover paper cause pollution by producing a terrible smell that cause lung diseases. paper also produce the greenhouse gases like co2and Methane. This gas can damage the earth, and they are extremely harmful. Without AI, the countries are deprived of the developments in industries, agriculture, medicine, science and technology.
Conclude, this comparison is like comparing salt with sugar. We cannot live without them. furthermore, if you ate sugar or salt more than the allowed limit, you will be bad affected.

  • I think it's unfair that some people have access to AI and others don't. This can make a big difference in the long run. Imagine if only some countries had access to good healthcare, education, or jobs. It wouldn't be fair, right?

In my country, I've seen how AI helps people in cities, but those in rural areas miss out. This can make it harder for them to get good healthcare, education, or jobs.

To fix this, we need to make sure everyone has access to AI. This means teaching people about AI and giving them the tools they need. Governments and organizations can help by creating programs that bring AI to everyone.
