Hello, Topical Talk. I believe there should be a Hub discussion about how AI is used in this world and why?
Thanks for sharing but I think discussions about this might already exist on the Hub. Try reading through other students' comments on other posts to see if you can find ideas about this that you can build on.
AI is one of the most powerfull tools human´s have. It allows us to solve problems, innovate, understand some topics... The problem is that we sould know how to use it and do only good things like help others or make the world a better place... If we use it in the wrong way, AI can cause damage instead of helping. That´s why inteligence should always go with kindness intencions.
I can very much agree with this comment. I would agree because there are some people that use AI for good, like stated above for example, solve problems, innovate, understand some topics, and more. But at the same time, we also have to remember, some people use AI for despicable and harmful acts. So with this being said, I can agree with this comment.
I agree because some people use AI fore some despicable or amazing things such as helping young entrepeneurs build amazing bussines
for me I sincerely think that the use of AI should be limited like a certain number of searches per day like a maximum search of three per day that way,the depletion of the ozone layer per day would be reduced and people can still go about their day to day activities with AI
Would you give any guidance on the type of searches that should/shouldn't be allowed?
Those that should be allowed could be educational searches which would better the lives of people example how to make an eco-friendly device .
Then should not could be for example pornography or learning scams etc.
I actually agree with him on his idea of restricting AI from responding to some certain and rather sensitive content. And by the way, restricting some content would help the planet develop because some of the people in the world would like to the things outside learning new skills. Hence,if AI is able to not respond to those sensitive and immoral content the energy produced by the machines would be reduced thereby making the planet a safer place
If there are inappropriate types of searches then you need to switch of the device and tell an adult. Don't tell anyone who you know wouldn't do anything about it.
Thx for reading my comment!
I think there should be a limited searches as well but there should be something telling them from going higher than a limit.
In my opinion, it is also very important to recognize that some institutions such as, but not limited to, scientific institutes or hospitals where AI contributes to achieving new, significant knowledge and progress in various fields of science, probably need more frequent and complex usage of AI in order to comply with their purpose. Therefore, I suggest to exclude those institutions mentioned above from restrictions regarding how frequently and how intensely AI should be used.
However, it is problematic to weigh up the need of those institutions to use AI against the urgency as well as the necessity of being sustainable and protecting the climate.
I am open to all opinions.
Best regards
I think that its right so you don't have unlimited searching so you can search for reasonable things
I disagree with the aspect of limiting attendances of AI. This is because the world is becoming a global village. We shouldn't limit production of ideas that could increase productivity of the worlds economy. Rather it could be improved.
Can you explain how we could improve use of AI?
AI can improve its use when we have been given enough information on how to use it.
Also stabilising it's sources increases its workability.
Fact finding the information generated by AI.
We could improve the use of AI by setting age limits. I think that AI is a very big tool that many children would´t know how to control. It would also be better if they were thaught how to use it and if they have a learning before the children were old enough to uese it.
Ai in a basic form is a tool that helps humanity solve problems in a faster matter. This dosent mean it can solve things that humans dont. But i also think AI its a tool that could be inmproved if is controled by the comunity instead of a company. This means that instead that an AI is focused on the uses and objectives of one single company or individual.By making it for the comunity we could develop an AI that can cover diferent objetives of the society
I disagree because if people are to have limited number of searches it will affect both we the students and others who are out there that use AI everyday for instance Goggle offices that upload things on the web everyday if there should have limited internet most of our problems wouldn't be solved this thereby causing problem to people. lets say you are given an assignment of 10 questions and all of them deals with internet to find solutions to you might probably end up answering based on the limited access. so in my opinion i think that AI should have a free and unlimited search/use.
Thank You.
your comment if I am to say does not make any sense at all if you have limited number of searches does it mean that you have limited words. And by the way having limited searches would help you as a student think better it would send a message into your head that it is not every time you need artificial intelligence. Hence, increasing the rate at which we students develop ourselves mentally it could even reach to a certain point that may be as a student you would consult to studying more than using of AI.All i am trying to say is that AI is good but should not be used at all times.
I disagree because:
1.you are not supposed to insult someone on the student hub
2.if we have limited searches on the web am not sure life will be as smooth as it is today
i support the fact you said students should be able to think critically but that doesn't mean AI should have limits because of students. so i see your view as both right and wrong.
THANK YOU.
first and for most I am not saying that AI is bad, rather i am suggesting a way whereby we can save our planet and at the same time still be using AI so in my opinion the way i see something like this happening is by limiting the number of searches to everyone per day so as to make the world a better place remember, your life really matters a lot and life comes first before any other thing
I disagree because it can stop inapproriate searches and help with educational purposes.
I totally agree with you because no body in this life would want to die before their time. so I think it is better to sustain our lives than to encourage something that will end our lives. when the certain number of searches are limited as you said, it reduces the depletion of the ozone layer. as we know, the ozone layer protects us from the sun. so imagine where the sun is hammering on us and our crops are dyeing, how do you think we are going to survive.
Only a living man can have the opportunity to explore in live so lets think twice and save lives first. But that doesn't mean that the AI should be removed totaly.
But that could cause havoc to the society, because if we are to search just three times every day the world would just get disorganize. Let's say they give an assignment from different courses and all most of them are unsolvable by the Students and the Teachers may not want to answer because it was an assignment, then what are they supposed to do, because they may be more than three assignment unsolvable by the student? But is not that I completely disagree with you that much but just may be, they could stay up to six hours or up to fifteen Student related searches and then up to ten searches for people 18 years and above.
I hope you reply to this comment.
I firmly agree with you for if this is to happen then people will be also search the right things then instead of the ozone layer to reduse 200 tines it will go by just 10 i think you can search three times per day
I agree because... Artificial intelligence has caused a lot of harm to humans not only to the depletion ozone layer it also cause human laziness lets take a look at it artificial intelligence is currently handling all our problems leaving not so much work to do. it also leads to lack of common sense known we have A.I people rely on A.I making there brain capacity low. we can stop it by reducing the particular amount you use A.I
I totally agree! I've actually seen this a few times already. Apps like Gauth or ChatGPT now have a limit of use, such as having to wait until the next day after having asked a certain amount of questions. I believe this is great because this can prevent students from cheating on assignments or it can prevent people from looking through inappropriate things when they shouldn't.
I suggest the topic carbon emission and it's causes to the globe
Causes or effects?
It will be more appropriate to reframe it to Carbon emissions and its implications or effects Globally.
why do you suggest this topc.
I meant carbon emission and it's effects
I strongly believe AI has its benefits such as solving problems in businesses and assisting doctors to find cures but training only one AI model releases 285000 kg of carbon dioxide which is five times more than an average car in its life.
You've noted that there are some serious environmental consequences of AI but also highlighted how useful it can be. Would you suggest that there are some limits on how AI can be used to help the environment?
Hello , I think that the hub could have a pull about if AI always makes the right choices ?
I disagree because AI is taught by humans it doesn't make its own decisions. Self taught AI is yet to be integrated into society, but we shouldn't lose hope because new technology is discovered every day and it is just a matter of time until self taught AI exists.. Therefore i don't think there needs to be a poll because AI cant make its own decisions. But i do think this can be a topic in the future when self taught AI exists.
I disagree because AI is specifically made to be controlled and follow certain prompts in order to avoid going rouge. Therefore I believe this topic would be currently pointless as AI does not have free will. Some may try to give AI free will but it won't really be true free will. This could be a topic in the future if AI does gain free will but I also believe giving AI free will would be a mistake as it could cause society damage.
in my opinion i feel like AI is not sustainable because firstly it makes people lazier a example is if you are shopping online you had the opportunity to go and get some exercise but you were online instead AI does not help everyone like my mum finds technology hard and just think in a time before AI was invented people survived so that means that if we did not have AI anymore we would still be able to survive my class discussed that if people went to the shops and did not do online shopping cars are bad for the enviroment i do understand that AI is not all bad and it entertains and helps us to communicate to one another just like i am doing right now and it is useful if you are doing work also social life many people would agree with me on this one but technology is making peoples social life not so good anymore because you are always on devices i think grownups probarly use less technology then us kids because when they were alive they had less technology but us kids today we use technology and AI in our every day life and that is why i think AI is not sustainable
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about 'Is the wait time for the progress of Artificial Intelligence worth it? It is understandable AI needs its fare share to time to adapt and refine itself but the depletion of all the resources in the development process too severe and too long. At the end how much return would it give to us? When will it completely develop? Are there enough resources available on the planet which can satisfy AI development? What rate of corrode will happen to the Earth if increasing AI needs are paired with the already increasing population and the resource needed to host it?
Will AI ever 'completely develop'? Or is it's development potentially infinite?
Thanks for sharing but I think discussions about this might already exist on the Hub. Try reading through other students' comments on other posts to see if you can find ideas about this that you can build on.
You can talk to AI, such as Alexa and Siri, they can help you learn and give you useful information. AI is good for problem solving but we must be careful to make sure the information is correct because sometimes on web platforms you can post news and sometimes it is fake and unsafe so don’t always trust AI.
I agree with you @ talented coconut especially for young people who use AI. I believe young people can use Ai but for reasonable things like that will be beneficial to them, but they will need a parent or a guardian to guide them on the web because if they search on their own, they might see some things that might not be true and believe it which might influence their decisions negatively. Parents can also put measures in place to stop the above from happening with the use of different AI tools.
I agree because AI can help people learn faster and gives you information you need to know. AI can even help build more technology, machines, and AI can also give correct ways of doing things or work e.g correct cooking recipes, correct washing tips and correct budget making. In conclusion the use of AI helps a lot in our lives, even though it is not yet sustainable, it still has some advantages that can help with work or business and chores.
I think we should talk more about why and how AI can help us. We can also talk about the negative and positive things that AI can do for us
Thanks for sharing but I think discussions about this might already exist on the Hub. Try reading through other students' comments on other posts to see if you can find ideas about this that you can build on.
To me, Ai is helping scientist with climate change, yet it can also cause irreversible damage to the climate. I think that the usage of AI should be limited to where it will not cause more CO2 release in the air than it should be. This way people are still able to use AI and it will not cause harmful damages to the earth we live on.
Hi Topical Talk! I think there should be a Hub discussion on the long-term environmental impacts of the usage of AI world-wide because then we would have a further view on the pros and cons of AI and also be able to see what may come if people begin adapting to AI.
Thanks for sharing but I think discussions about this might already exist on the Hub. Try reading through other students' comments on other posts to see if you can find ideas about this that you can build on.
I think that there should be a discussion on that how AI can be used to solve and combat global issues like the lack of potable water, lack of food, etc
I believe this is a great idea, considering that AI can be used to benefit and further advance our scientific and transportation technology in order to assist our world in the things we accomplish today. AI can be used in many fields, while encouraging the user to become more productive and educated by this intelligence. Utilizing AI in a beneficial way to prevent issues in the world, both regarding agriculture and natural disasters, would be a great topic to discuss. With the further advanced artificial intelligence, individuals will be able to accomplish our world's problems with great ease.
Hello team Topical talk.
We are discussing about AI sustainability this week.
Further to that I would like to suggest another topic - "The future of AI and its impact on our culture and ethics".
I like the idea of discussing this topic a lot and have my own thoughts on it as well:
A topic in ethics is working. Many philosophers have given their statements on this which partially are used in modern day. Some (also statements on other themes, such as self-development etc)are included in “work ethics”. A popular example of this would be that some people go by/work according to Kants theory on self-development/work (One has to grow out of their immaturity by learning how to work for and be themselves).
Ideas like this get partially contradicted by the usage of AI. Although AI is a great tool and helps with a lot of things, how far can and will the usage go? In medicine, eventually symptoms can be given and AI can think of the disease/issue the patient has nearly with complete certainty. In this example, through this, doctors will do less work in the field of diagnostics.
Cultures that pride themselves on their hard work will no longer be able to do so.
Of course there are more examples and further fields this can go into and this is just one of a few but I feel this could genuinely be a topic worth discussing.
I feel like it could be sustainable if it had a limit of how much Ai we have but it is not so it would not be sustainable some time in the future there will be a huge problem I bet because it is making people lazy it s not good for the environment and it is not helping our social life i feel like it is progressing in a bad way what about you guys share and explain why
I agree with this to an extent, I found that 86% percent of students have said they are using ai for school work. Which could cause a major problem in the future, when these students reach the work force. For example, in 10 or so years when these students become doctors or teacher, or many other professions, they may be unable to properly complete their duties because they cheated their way through school.
I to an extent agree with you @romantic_pie about AI making students lazy. Nowadays when class activities or assignments are given instead of students to go and search for the answers in their books or read to get an answer he or she would prefer to use artificial intelligence and this is a very big issue in the world because the devices used in AI companies use too much energy and also emit a lot of carbon into the enviroment so I came up with the idea of limiting the number of searches per day so as to not only make our students less AI dependent but also reduce the amount of carbon being emitted into the enviroment.
This is great 👍 I’d say it’s not sustainable because AI is taking over the whole world and in my opinion it’s especially taking over America which is not good 👎 in like 2030 EVERYONE will be so lazy and all proper shops will be closed and only online shops will be used . Its definitely not sustainable
I agree with your point humorous swan. Ai has already been proven to cause many to relax and fall back upon it but it also has been proven to use lots of resources and cause harm. According to many reports, by sending an email using Ai we waste 27 litres of water which causes a knock on effect as it releases more toxins. AI will by 2045 release 40% of Americas CO2 on a daily and this will become worse over time due to its influence as it spreads world wide.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about whether AI should be recalled from the public or not, because there are multiple negative effects on the environment because of AI such as :
1.Soil erosion.
2.Greenhouse gas emissions.
3.Pollution.
I think it will be a good discussion because some people have access to and use it and others don't.
A discussion or debate on whether we should make AI sustainable or get rid of it. I believe if we get rid of it, the better things will go and we might also get things back to normal. But even if we make it sustainable, people will not get to put their imagination and coming back to the the fact that if AI continues, people will likely loose their jobs, and it prevents you from expressing your creativity too.
AI can seem very unstable due to multiple mess ups throughout the world. You know when your phone accidentally gets wrong and can't distinguish who you are.Or when you say something for AI to repeat and they get the idea completely wrong.AI seems very out of control in today's eye. However due to human desperation AI seems to be a source possibly used in our everyday lives. When you get your phone to distinguish your identity, commercials, social media in general, and the list goes on.The idea of AI is helpful and harmful.
AI can be helpful with new technologies, education, and health care.New technologies can produce a much more productive learning environment creating new learning devices.Health care is getting more advanced having better advantages making it much easier to diagnose patients and such.
AI can also be harmful by copying others ideas in the art community, using energy that pollutes the earth, and supports cheating and skipping the actual learning process.AI in the art community often sees beautiful art work made by a professional artist and copies it and makes it worse some YouTubers can help spot the difference in regular art work. Most students can use chatgpt to do all their work and such.
Overall AI can be bad or good depending on the subject matter.
This is a good thought of you bold_ skill. The most worrying phase of AI is the fact that it brings mimicry where we all might end up thinking in the same direction. I support the opinion that it should it be analysed looking into the positive and negative aspects to ensure balance.
I agree with this for a slightly different reason. AI analyzes and then copies already written works, which can bring up problems with distinguishing AI from human written pieces. A lot of times AI detectors give false positives on purely human works because they are well written. In the long term this could diplinish the level on which people write, because they are trying to avoid getting blamed for plagiarism.
I THINK THAT AI SHOULD BE LIMTED FOR CHILDERN BEACAUSE IT MAKES THEM LAZY
Hello dear inspired leaves
from my opinion Artificial intelligence is aloud for everyone who can use it well. if a child will use it to learn something useful for example he will use it to watch a useful video it's okay. Everything has advantages and disadvantages.
Thank You
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about "AI and the future Eco-system" because from what I 'have known so far about AI and sustainability, I don't think it will be to sustain us if no appropriate modifications are not done and also in other not to lose our planet full of abundant oxygen and natural resources. From my own point of view, I have got to realize that AI releases too much CO2 into the atmosphere which depletes the ozone layer so in that case, I suggest we should have a discussion about AI and the future Eco-system because I know an adage which says "In stitch in time saves nine"
Thanks for sharing but I think discussions about this might already exist on the Hub. Try reading through other students' comments on other posts to see if you can find ideas about this that you can build on.
I suggest the topic " GREENHOUSE EFFECT: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES".
Thinking about how necessary evil AI is, we know how AI development and its usage is leading to unnecessary energy consumption and carbon emission. We can discuss upon 'How can we limit AI's usage and create energy efficient AI'.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about how we are going to make the world sustainable and save it with AI, before it's too late.I think this because this is something that humans really need to know if we are to keep Artificial Intelligence running without too much damage to the earth.By too much, I mean that we need to be as sustainable as possible, but as of right now, we will not be able to keep it 100% sustainable until everyone puts in their effort.
I would suggest the topic if it’s justifiable to restrict the use of AI in the case of private Households. I think this topic is quite interesting as it is an more detailed example of the question if the government should be allowed to restrict private Households or everyone should have the right and freedom to do what they believe is right.
I think there should be a hub discussion topic about using Ai to make things smarter and using Ai to make us sound smarter. AI has the potential to make our work smarter by automating task, decision making, boosting productivity, etc. It also plays its role in personalized learning, healthcare and diagnostics and various fields like marketing and agriculture. But relying on Ai every time for simple tasks declines our thinking ability, creative thinking, problem solving and decision-making capacity. This can reduce our ability to think for ourselves and makes us depend upon it. AI is nothing but a tool that enhances and supports human capability but not a shortcut to replace our ability to think. Hence it is important to maintain balance between ai use and human capability.
Hello, topical talk I would like to suggest a few topics to be discussed and debated.
1- consequences of increasing AI facilities like chatgpt ext in student life .
2-usage of AI in completing UNSDG.
3- role of AI in increasing unemployment and poverty.
I think there should be a discussion on the Hub about AI in education system: Is AI acutally a learning tool or just a shortcut to cheating?Because primarly we are all students of simillar age,and i think by starting this topic,we could actually get a firsthand information about how good artificial intelligence is for students, and perhaps maybe it should be banned for them?
This is a good point. AI and education should be interrogated. Because we are left wondering wether it should be a shortcut or education aid tool that can be developed further?
I agree with centered squirrel because some people can search rude things so I think it should be limited.
Can you think of any examples of how AI use could be limited?
A topic on which people can talk but at the same time many people may hesitate, yes, I would like to suggest such a topic where people will not only give suggestions but also receive motivation. And Personal Growth is one such topic, many people now a days, especially teenagers are not able to make their decisions, they are not capable of choosing the correct path for themselves, and even adults, many adults miss setting up goals, and I would like a HUB discussion on the same, where my fellow mates and I focus on discussing about
1. SELF-IMPROVMENT-: why extracurricular and hygiene is necessary along with studies
2. MOTIVATION-: what many motivators and role models say about choosing the correct path, and making the decisions
3. GOAL SETTING-: setting goals and working your sweat off till you achieve it
4. PUSHING FORWARD-: why pushing yourself forward is necessary?
I would love if this topic is made a HUB DISCUSSION TOPIC.
Thank You!
Hello, topical talk! I suggest that there should be a discussion about the ongoing refugee crisis since it relates to the Syrian rebel situation too.
I would like to discuss TikTok getting banned in America as citizens of America really enjoy going on TikTok and scrolling for hours. I suggest not to do that and to things that will actually help you have a good future and be successful like getting a job or exercising daily say you want to become a professional athlete you need to start at a young age so you could eventually get scouted and you will soon get to professional leagues. Also you need to stay dedicated on your dream if someone ever says you can’t make it you should keep on trying and never give up.
Interesting thoughts - do you think there are also negatives to scrolling TikTok for hours?
In my opinion, there so many negatives associated with scrolling tiktok for hours.
One will be so much addicted and will keep soo much time following up on tiktok that could just be eye catching and not mind educating.
Please share this idea in the News near you zone!
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about how we as citizens can help make AI sustainable and about ideas and techniques we can use to help make AI more sustainable because though several companies and programs are working to make AI more sustainable, I think they could use a helping hand and if we all work together to make AI more sustainable, the outcome will be more efficient.
I would like to start a discussion on how much we should use AI. In my opinion, I actually think there should be a limit of time as to how much we use AI as AI is predicted to have produced millions of electronic waste by 2030 and by 2050 AI will have produced 120 million metric tonnes. This cannot occur so in order to prevent this I think there should be a daily limit. I had the idea of an hour or two, but also a time to research sustainability and how do be environmentally friendly. So if we have a short amount of time used on AI and researching how to be sustainable as a part of it, the world will become a better place.
I disagree because AI is still been made use of in our daily lives which help people to make money if we should limit the use of AI means that people that use it to earn money their earnings will also be limited. If AI should be taken away means that things would go back to the way they were before the invention or production of AI. So regardless of the problems AI is causing to the environment I think it should stay. And also even if there should be a daily limit there would still be a production of AI which would still cause pollution.
I think there should be a hub discussion about, " AI or Sustainability. Which one will you choose?"
Many people would love to see the way AI would change the world. It would really help the world and it would also be quite cool. But to have AI change the world, we would need to make a sacrifice, the world. Ai damages the world, an example of this is that it uses 285000 kg of carbon dioxide a year and we can't afford that to happen. AI clearly isn't sustainable and that brings us to our discussion; would you want to see AI change the world, or would you want to save the world?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about how culture and diversity how other country's have different rules and laws because it's important to learn other ways of living. And learn how uniquee people are from different tribes and how they see the world. Plus to see others opinions about what religion we should follow
well as I see it, i think we should have a Hub discussion about "Ai and job replacement".. because as we all know AI is a very capable technology and it holds the potential to replace jobs that are mostly done by humans because it can be more skillful and efficient. This can be both beneficial and a caution to us, people will loose their jobs and suffer. what can we do to both continue the use of Ai and regulate it to ensure that it doesn't aggravate unemployment?
or should we just stop AI's use at workplace at all?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about how AI can help to fight climate change because it is becoming a very big problem for the world . AI can help to keep a check on deforestation, predict weather patterns , keep us updated about global warming , and can also tell about some smart farming methods to grow crops with less water and less chemicals and pesticides. It can also help in creating eco friendly vehicles, buildings etc , which will help to reduce global warming and climate change. This discussion would help us to know more about how AI can be helpful in solving one of major problems of the world and make it a better place for future.
Ai is booming high, but as far as sustainability is concerned,I am doughful .Increased interference of Ai is making young generation dependent on it, which leads to decrease in making use of human intelligence and emotional health. In the coming time, people will become mechanical, on the other hand the immense use of ai gadgets will give rise to wastage.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about how and why AI is used by people involved in different occupations. Which occupation is using it the most and least and who all should be allowed to have access to it. Also if you could give a time limit to the usage of AI would it be helpful for the future generations.
Can you think of the occupations you think use it the most, and why?
Every occupation in some or the other way uses AI and it has also helped people all around to make progress. But according my perspective I feel that the Astronauts and the Scientists need AI most to make new discoveries and help the environment with new technologies. Also they could find about any natural disturbance on or inside the surface of the earth helping the people to be prepared for it . Scientist have even done many research with the help of AI and are continuously improving their discoveries.
Hello every one, I would want to ask this tangible question. is it possible to have an AI detector that can tell whether a vote is real or fake during an election in order to avoid double or fake voting during an election.?
THANKS.
I find it quite interesting. I respect you point of view beloved watermelon. If this happens than there would be no fake voting during the elections helping the citizens to choose their own leader more effectively. Also in this way we can also stop corruption and black money making..
I think we should talk about is going to mars a good or bad idea because in the future we will eventually do that (if we have the right tools)
Climate change is not good for the planet because of its extreme weather conditions but the planet has been in a very hot and dry place since it started and is still very hot
I think there should be a Hub discussion about the educational system. Because some people think that It is a good system but others think the contrary.
In my opinion educacional system is wrong because in real life out of schools or high-schools you are tested before you learn but in schools you learn and then you are tested.
I believe that we should further extend on the importance AI has on this generation, especially regarding the younger population and how this may affect them as they continue to grow and blossom into an adult.
Hi glorious_parrot - can you tell me a bit more about how you think this may affect the younger population?
Yes! I definitely can. For starters, a lot of children are exposed to an unlimited range of technology, including artificial intelligence. My worry is that the young population today is exposed to an excessive amount, which could lead them to rely more on sources such as AI, instead of using their base knowledge to continue on in today's world. With artificial intelligence expanding on it's worth and capabilities, by the time these young individuals blossom into adults, they would have a complete understanding of how it works and how it is utilized in the world, especially regarding careers and agriculture.
I think think there should be a hub discussion post about how to prevent AI from taking over the world because i think it is important to be careful about what happens in the future imagine in your job AI could take over ,you don't even know how many peoples jobs might be ran over AI's robots.
I think there should be a hub discussion on the topic "Ai leads to sustainability (or )addiction". Nowadays more people are getting lazy to do their educational work and just, they will search on the contents in AI and copy paste in a file ar document.this is absolutely cheating. People depend AI for crazy things. Many people are not giving a single work to the brain to function and replace the AI in the ace of human brain. more people, especially students are completely dependented on Ai for silly things and just addicted.wihout AI they can't imagine anything, that like people are trapped in the AI addiction and suffering.Ai is only to help and provide us with informations, not to replace the human brain. We want to instruct AI for our need,The AI should not instruct us.We want live our life for us, not for AI. Also in exams mor students are copying the answers using AI which spoil the future leaders, students behaviour and discourages them to do wrong things.
Ai is not completely trustable,so we want be carefull with AI .
Can you tell me how you think we can prevent students using AI in exams?
Yeah! We can prevent using AI in exams by creating awareness about illegal activities due to AI and by formulating initiatives like laws to avoid illegal exam activities.
I think there should be a value based question about if we would be a founder of AI how we would introduce the AI to the people.
Interesting ideas - how do you think you would introduce AI?
I would like to introduce AI in a small area and represent it like a small invention but then explain to people about how those small can bring greater possibilities like communication and even share my ideas about it. AI is a part of technology as it gets advanced it is good and bad for us but it is made to make our work simpler for their day.
we all have different ideas on this some are thinking AI is not sustainable some say it is but i am in the middle because there is some positives and some negatives examples of negatives are it makes people lazier because machines are doing there stuff for them like getting shopping which is also known as online shopping it is not good for the enviroment have you ever thought of what one message or call does to our world well i did not know in till i learnt this in English a few days ago and think of all that electricity we use because of technology and AI but the positive examples are it keeps you entertained and it is easier to communicate with one another because in the olden days you would have to walk all the way to that person you wanted to talk to and it might have been just one sentence you wanted to say to them that gets me on to my next example transportation its way better now then it used to be because it used to be walking or if you were really lucky you could go on a horse and carriage but now we have all sorts of transport like cars ,boats, planes, buses , helicopter, and the most usual one is a car with many more but i can not list all of them so i am not sure if it is sustainable or not because of all the reasons and the varitie of answers from everyone who comments
I think think there should be a hub discussion on how you can use AI because I think that we talk too much about if AI should not be in a world like this and not about how you limit how you can use AI because I think now AI has been introduced its hear to stay and as intelligent animals we should work on how we can find ways to increase how sustainability when using this powerful type of technology we should have a restraint on how you can use this dynamic website all this will cause negative irreversible change !
I think a hub discussion on AI and healthcare: good or bad. I think this topic will help us as topical talkers to express our ideas or share their opinions whether AI is better than doctors in the aspect of health care.
Let's talk about the elephant in the room - AI's impact on our planet! As AI takes center stage in environmental decisions, we need to ask the tough questions. Who's accountable when AI choices harm the environment? How do we ensure AI prioritizes all life, not just humans? I'm passionate about exploring these concerns and finding ways to make AI a force for good!
I have heard that some additional features have been added to the AI development, these new features are:
Automated AI Development,
Autonomous Vehicles,
Incorporating Facial Recognition,
Convergence of IoT and AI etc.
Now, these new features have gotten the Earth to accept it and it helps to make life and work easier but as we all know, the AI brings about climate change and there will be a lot of new change in the weather which is not very good. Recently, in my country there has been a flood that happened because of AI and it made peoples lives and homes vulnerable because they were all on water with their belongings underground.
This impacted the whole nation because people lost their lives and properties.
In conclusion, I say that that the Earth should put a stop to the AI until we know that is sustainable enough not to alter climate change and make it worse.
Thank you for your comment, charismatic_chemistry! I'm sorry to hear about the flood in your country. Could you elaborate on why you think this was caused by the use of AI?
I think there should be a hub post about how much a person can use AI because it’s not fair that only some people can use AI but at the same time AI is bad for the planet
What jobs should AI be used for?
I think AI should be used for doctors and scientists because they need AI to help save lives but most other jobs could do without AI. We have lived ages without it so why can’t we now? If we are going to use AI it should be for more productive use.
Is AI a good idea?
I am not sure if AI is a good idea because it is very useful but also incredibly bad for the environment!
How could we come up with a solution?
I think we could write to local MPs and tell them our ideas and thoughts about AI. They might be able to use our thoughts and ideas in parliament. We might be able to come up with a more sustainable solution that would work for everyone.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about what people think would be the future of AI technology and how can it effect our planet because it is very important to discuss about what will AI be in the future and how can it possibly destroy our planet.
I also think there should be another HUB discussion post on examples on how does AI effect hospitality because this is a great advantage of AI as it is ready for service at any time so it would be a good topic to discuss on.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about how old one should be before interacting directly to an AI. Cause it's really clear on the fact that our personality changes might or might not depend on what we're asking and looking at.
When a child finds an search engine so close to him or her at such a young age, They search about anything and everything slowly leading to things they shouldn't find out about or see. There's no way we can stop a curious mind from asking all shorts of questions so our responsibility is to hand them AI technologies when they're mature or old enough.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about, THE ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE USAGE OF AI LIES IN THE HANDS OF THE USER AND NOT AI ITSELF.
According me the discussion topic for the hub can be ,"What are the ill effects of ai ?". Ai can be negative in many ways such as 1. dependence of ai, it can conduct to major job evictions. 2. cyber security risk is also a crucial topic ,these days with the help of ai ,scamers are cheating many people. 3. In order to train ai models a lot of energy is being wasted which can be used in a more productive way like making any building or house with the help of eco - friendly material so that in the future it will help us , extreme use of ai can lead human life in danger.
I think one of the most important hub discussion should be about "AI and jobs" because we all can agree that AI has the potential to eat a lot of jobs . Like- Designers, artists, household helpers, somewhat teachers etc. This eating up of jobs can cause unemployment in various fields. This may not be a problem now, but if this keeps continuing it will. The riches and AI platform creators will be becoming richer and richer without even having to do much and the poor will be exploited. AI also requires a lot of energy, water and various other resources to work efficiently. Leaving a harmful effect in our environment. Soon these small jobs may vanish and humans will work for AI. Leaving us humans completely dependant on AI than a minor power cut or irregular power supply just for some time will completely disturb our day to day lives. This problem is big but the solution is simple, CORRECT AND LIMITED USE OF AI can help us prevent such big problem. Of course innovative professions like doctors, scientists should be able to use AI a little more than others so they can easily prevent disasters, predict viruses, make new discoveries, save lives and many more. So we don't face such a big problem in the future
I think it would be a good topic to talk about how AI can change or even eliminate some jobs. I heard some discution about it the other day and It really got me thinking about it. I would emphasize at medical jobs for example for detecting viruses on peoples bodies or comming up with ideas to solve problems or even locate them before they are serious trouble as someone I know in university is trying to develop it.
global warming
In this great day,I would like to propose my hub discussion topic, Human can change AI ?or AI can change human?.Nowadays, most of the people across the globe are getting addicted to AI for their intense use. AI is occupying human and making humans to restrict the use of their own brain. Simply,AI is changing humans to believe and trust AI completely for their entire work.AI is taking place in all fields to replace the humans,in our future,if the use of AI come to the peak and occupied in all fields, the AI will initially reduce the job and employment opportunities for people by replacing the vacant place of humans . so, in our future there might be a
lack of employment opportunities for humans. thus, AI is changing humans by occupying them and restricting to use their own brain . Also, human can change AI by reducing the addiction of AI. Humans can make awareness among people to strengthen their skills and empower in life without depending completely on AI which create employment opportunities for each and every single people and to give importance to their active skills. Humans want to make sure that illegal things like AI tools for copying in exams, copy paste
are been completely avoided via programmes and initiatives.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about how AI is used on a Large scale in the world and about the true and advancing potential of AI because having this discussion will further enhance our knowledge about what happens in the world on a large scale and would also be a way for we students to share our point of view's regarding the mass- usage of AI and it's consequences and how we can, at our level try to reduce the usage of AI by us. This topic also would make up for a good debate for being in favor or against he usage of AI.
I think that there should be a hub discussion post about how Syrians would be able to know if it is safe where they live and how they could go back - but only if they want to.I think this because many countries do not want any Syrian refugees there anymore but they will not go back to Syria until they know that it is safe there. I also think that they could be taking a risk if they stay where people don’t want them, even if it is something that they should stand up for. Obviously it is ok if they don’t want to leave now, as they might call that home.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about "can we afford to make AI systems more eco friendly if it means they take longer to build"
Because this question questions us about weather we should slow down making Ai to develop it better for the environment. Making Ai Eco friendly may take more money and time but it is healthy for the earth. This question is about deciding what is more important creating AI quickly or saving the environment.
I think that we should have a discussion about the effect that AI has on people. For example, how AI is used or how people view AI.
There was a research by Sasha luccioni which says that ai like chatbots and image generator use alot more energy than normal search engines which can be hazardous for the environment
She says that the tech companies should openly tell how much energy they use in there ai system. She also said to call the environmental impact of Ai. She also asks government for help to make rules to reduce these effects
What would you like to know most about this topic?
My question to be discussed would be whether AI would completely bury the labor work for the upcoming population, by automatizing cars(drivers account to 250 million of the world's population), taking over physical pharmacies and replacing waiters and waitresses? Will AI be infused into our bloodline that we would, as a normal person without help of AI, be declared 'disabled' or 'worthless'?
(all these scenario are to be imagined when AI has developed infinitely)
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about "How would we further work with AI to reduce the torture we are giving to the environment"? because there have been allot of topics related to is AI good or not, how much shall we use AI, what precautions needs to be taken and what are the solutions we can take to make it sustainable but we never talked about all those harm to environment while we are speaking for the motion for AI. The only worst that could happen is that it could make a person lazy and dependent but why did we never think about all the causes and waste that is been releasing in the environment? What if we are fully developed with AI till 2030 and what if we lost all of our water and resources and if the world is in danger or maybe if its about to end? Would AI be helpful to solve things happening around the world?
Hello, Topical Talk, I think these should be a Hub discussion post about how AI knows all our information about how they know our identity just by looking at a picture or knowing our names, date of birth, place of birth, etc. I want a discussion about why AI should be allowed to use facial recognition and fingerprints to get in somewhere or like get in our phones . AI has advanced during the past years that there isn't anything that an AI could do.
In my personal opinion I think there should be a hub discussion on Criminal Activity by . For example Ai can corrupt our minds by false interpreting the ones we love most . Have you ever had a message saying “ Mum it’s your son I’m on my friends phone can I have some money on this bank account “. You’ll find that’s Ai. 3 things Ai does is corruption, misinformation and fraud. So that’s why I think there should be a discussion on this topic to see the views by other people.
I think there should be a Hub discussion called "Can AI be trusted?". I feel this way because everyone mostly focuses on how AI is a reliable and influential source. I admit that it is but, we also have to think about the negative. There have been multiple occurrences where the AI bot in Snapchat has sent random unexplained photos of someone's ceiling. Not only this but sharing any personal information with AI could be dangerous as we don't know what the bot could do with the information. I also believe that if AI keeps evolving and evolving, there's a high chance it can soon turn dangerous and start taking jobs. AI is already so developed that it can easily replace most jobs as in janitors, baristas, waiters, and much more. Just imagine what AI could do if it keeps advancing. It might get to a point where we won't even need doctors, scientists, lawyers, or really any other job, just AI. In simple words, AI is already such an amazing and useful tool that millions of people use to get through everyday life, if it gets any more advanced, It could overthrow us.
Hiya topical talk I am suggesting to see why AI was made and how it was invented and how and who does it fit I have so many questions and I want to know other people's opinions on If they like it or they hate it or they just don't care about it and really don't mind it, some people use ChatGPT to improve the handwriting and the sketches and artwork and other stuff just to get high marks at school or whatever they go this is why I'm not really sure of AI cause it is kind of giving away stuff and you don't show YOUR work
I want it to be like something like what is your opinion on how the robots were made and what do you think on removing them or not Or we could say how is it like without AI and how is it with ai and what is the difference?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about the question if the United Nations should create something like an international conduct of use of AI. This would give clear rules for the whole world on who is allowed to use AI and when. It could also limit the not necessarily needed use of AI which is just damaging our planet and not really helping anyone. I think that this would be a step into the right direction.
I think that there should be a discussion involving AI and our jobs; allowing other people from across the world to voice their perspective on whether or not they think that AI are stealing or daily jobs.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about why AI was created because whe don't know the essential objective for society. Was it created for all of us ?
I think AI should be used in a more efficient way, rather than using it when we don't know a small thing.
AI is although a great thing, and I mean by that learning things that are not in the internet.
Furthermore I was shocked by the quantity of water AI uses. We must be aware of what this means for the planet.
I think it’s very interesting to hear the opinions of people if the people right now are more important than the next generations and the long term consequences. This discussion could be used for both topics introduced so far. In the case of AI it’s interesting if it’s justifiable for a doctor to use AI to save a life but in the future the emissions of AI could even cause even more deaths. I know that this one time use of AI isn’t going to be a proplem but if it’s used all the time it can be really dangerous for the world. In Syria it could be used on the question whether the government should give first aid to the people first or if it should improve the long term infrastructure and rebuild the citys for future generations
I think there should be a hub discussion about how AI can be used to monitor and reduce the carbon footprint because this will create a loop where AI will solve the problems it creates. For example AI can find out how to use less electricity in data centers and create some smart machines which will require less energy to work. In this discussion we could find out about how AI will be solving the problems created by itself , making it more useful and helpful for the environment and fighting climate change.
Hello @topicaltalk! I personally think there should be topic about world economy and currency as students will get to learn about financial status of the world and how does it work. I think it'll be a knew topic for many students because I have seen many people who are well aware about this topic. This will also be opportunity for students to know about other countries currency and how does it work.
I suggest the topic:
How to solve the problems with AI in the world today
I suggested this topical due to the problems we are facing in the use of AI in the world today and the needs for it to be solved for examples
1.to prevent bad health
2.to prevent the ozone layer depletion
so i hope this topic is looked into by the "Economist foundation".
what about AI in our every day life: is AI needed in our every day life and why or why not.
thanks
I think there should be a hub discussion post on AI helping in argument as some AI bots can now translate different languages so that barristers and lawyers can be able to communicate efficiently in an intra language argument(s).
AI is a great tool for translations and can used in many different instances, especially if it is clear AI is being used as a translation tool (should there be any miscommunication by the bot.
Thanks for the question
I believe AI technology is increasing daily in the sense that most of these AI bots can carry out language translation effectively so as for AI bots like Chart GPT and Alexa there shouldn’t be any miscommunication by the bots as it is been used as a translation tool.
Thanks
My discussion is pointing at the abuse of AI,AI is very sustainable but the rate where by student misuse the AI is high, the use of AI should limited for students and when in use should be supervised or monitored to avoid searching for things that will not improve or better the life of the student or visiting sight that will spoil young minds, if not done student will not be able to think quickly,or focus on their studies and they will begin to try to isolate themselves from others, but if this is controlled it will better the life of students and help them achieve their goals, also i appreciate those who don't abuse AI.
I think there should be a discussion on how AI can be made sustainable maybe an environmental friendly AI.
for me the use of AI should be not high and not frequently in use and should be limited and controlled.
At first I thought that doctor deserved AI most but now I think it should be scientist so then they can have some more help with things and it would double check the answer
At first I thought that the doctor was at the bottom and not very good, but then I realised it could save lives by using AI.
Hello,
I think that AI is good and bad for the planet because even though it can create too much carbon emissions ( which can affect our planet ) , there are still many reasons why we need AI in our lives. AI can help us with our everyday lives, jobs, learning and many more. If we didn't have AI, we would not be able to be given information etc.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about what are the steps taken currently to make AI more sustainable
Yes, I agree as not all AI functions are suitable for kids. Creating a group discussion will definitely help us to learn more about the topic and help us to learn about what is appropriate for our ages. I hope this gets put forward.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about "if AI should be available to minors " because this will be a great discussion point helping us understand more on the topic.
The impact of technology and ethics on society and the economy, long - term sustainable development can be ensured.Balanced progress can be achieved through ethical and technological advancements. Steps for Long -term Sustainability :-
★ Ethical Advancements
★ Technological Advancements
★ Education and Awareness
★ Collaboration
★ Environment Conversation
Long - term sustainability can be achieved by following ethical principles and embracing environmentally friendly technologies.
Thanks.
I think there should be a discussion on how sustainability should be maintained while progress goes on!
I think this would be a very interesting discussion!
Hello topical talk! I believe there should be a discussion about the future of AI. AI is vastly spreading and growing more each day. Considering how much we use it in today's age, there will likely be plenty of uses for it in the upcoming future. This would be a topic where students can discuss what they think AI will do in the future and how it will affect our lives. For example, a topic of questions for students to answer may be, "Do you think AI will replace workers and employees in the upcoming future?" This will allow students to research and think about how AI is affecting people now and what this might turn into later on. Thank you for your time!
I totally agree with you. AI will have many benefits for society in the future, with the aim being to make work, travel, health care, education, leisure, commerce and business more efficient. AI has the potential to transform the way we live and work, allowing us more time and freedom to do the things we love. There could be downsides and it’s important to consider the negative impacts as well as the positives. Thank you for taking your time reading this and I hope this discussion will carry on.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about using AI responsibly because it affects all of us. AI is becoming a part of everyday life, and we need to talk about how to use it in ways that are fair, safe, and good for everyone. A discussion like this can help people share ideas, understand the risks, and find better ways to deal with challenges like privacy and fairness. By talking about it, we can make sure AI is used in a way that helps and doesn’t harm.
Hallo! I think there should be a Hub discussion post about: could AI be the key to save the planet or its continuous usage of non-renewable energy and water will become part of the problem?
Actually, AI these days became really horrible because alot of people are using it in different ways. Yes, some people are using it in good ways but not alot . Some examples of how people using it in bad ways:
1 In dark website , AI see if someone interested in something bad and it helps him be worse like it gives him videos because he is interested in this thing and it is actually really bad . I know that sometimes it is not a bad thing because some people are interested in something good or different like sports or art or any thing else.
2 AI helps people to spend more time in the mobile phones not setting with their families and this causes many bad things like autism and using mobile phones are not good for the eyes.
Finally these days people became really horrible because of AI .
Can you explain what you say at the end relating to people and AI?
I think there should be a hub discussion about should AI affect the privacy ? I chose this topic because it would open a huge discussion where people disagree or agree or even they could be not biased to any of the two. As well as, some people had really seen some people with zero privacy because of AI on their devices and the opposite as some devices are highly secured by AI .
I think a bright topic could be :are AIs building the economy or destroy it. Here people could pick up more ideas that they could use in other aspects /hub people would discuss whether AI is upgrading the economy or not
Great ideal zestful_rambutan - can you tell me your thooughts on this topic?
Well the idea is for people to come together and give comments on whether AIs are actually helping the economy or destroying it. It could be in form of a debate e winning side be the end of the day get 3 stars
Well the idea is for people to come together and give comments on whether AIs are actually helping the economy or destroying it. It could be in form of a debate e winning side be the end of the day get 3 stars
What I think would be a nice hub discussion should be about: " AI goes beyond the boundaries : companion or occupier?" As Ai is developing more and more recently, it is starting to occupy people's jobs and platforms. It is said that there will soon be a robot news reporter in Japan. Is AI meant to be for taking over our jobs and our human lifestyle or is it just designed to be a "helper" to make life easier for us? Some science fiction stories I have read suggest that AI could even take over the world one day . What if an AI robot had feelings would it want to occupy our world and make humans go extinct? These would be some questions that I would like to discuss about this topic.
Can you think of a world without the existence of AI?
Great idea fun_ferret! What are your thoughts on this?
I think there should be a hub discussion on the topic, AI drains up electricity or our brain. Nowadays more people especially students are being addiction to the extensive use of AI and the AI, just fulfilling the thinking capacity of the brain. so that most of the people completely trust and depend on AI for their top to bottom, every works which restrict their own use of brain. from this ,most of the people's skills and knowledge are getting down. Thus, AI drains up our brain by restricting the access to the brain. On the other side, stands the great statement, AI drains electricity, it's definitely true, each and every people are spending a lots and lots of electricity for a single search. The amount of electricity taken from Google for a single search is approximately 1-2 kilowatt hours (kWh) per search. For one hour search,it takes approximately , 0.018 kilowatt hours. This is the amount of electricity to charge a smartphone for 1-2 hours and this is the amount of electricity to run the big thredmill for about 1-2 minutes. Let us brain storm
and get to know more about this topic.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about how the topical talk festival could be improved, what could improve it, and who can improve it. And this suggestion is so we can make the festival more attractive, so that more people could join the topical talk festival.💡
TO BE HONEST a.i SHOULD BE LIMITED TO THE THE NUMBER OF SEARCHES A DAY SO WE COULD STOP THE DEPLITION OF OZONE LAYER
I suggest the topic the effects of AI if it is being given to everyone in the world to make use of. i suggested this topic due to the high risk AI is bringing to humans and the world at large, so i suggest the answers to this should be worked.
THANK YOU.
I agree because many dangerous things can happen to everybody if AI is in the wrong hands, for example weathermen use it to know when there is bad climate and immediately but on the other people use it to make dangerous bombs and machines to harm humanity and that's why I agree on discussing the topic, the effects of AI if it is being given to everyone in the world to make use of.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about how would Ai affect on our life . I typically chose this discussion because of that it is having a negative answer and a positive answer or even both this question also could be a turning point for Ai across the world as experts know the advantages and disadvantages of Ai .
I think there should be a hub discussion post about how AI ka help the world get free of unwanted stuffs on online media. As we all know it is quite difficult for people to live in the surroundings(especially girls and children) because of the social media. So I believe that AI can help to overcome it by quitting those kinds of content.
Interesting ideas. Can you please explain what you mean by this?
I heard about the fires in Los Angeles as it is harmful to families, pets and homes. The firesfighters in LA are running out of water so they cannot put out the fires. This concerns me as it is spreading so far and getting bigger so that it is getting even more deadly for everyone over there.
I think we should discuss how they might feel and how it hurts them.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about "How can we ensure it's used in a way that's safe for everyone?" For example, in this time if people get ill then before going to doctor, they prefer searching it and in this type of field where a person pays lot of time and hard work ai just give answers in few seconds maybe it could be correct or wrong and in this field are we sure ai is correct every time?
I would certainly appreciate a topic that talks about possible methods to make AI more sustainable. I believe it would open our understanding to the many methods we can overcome the issue, and forge a healthier future for technology as a whole .
I believe there should be a Hub discussion post about the war between Ukraine and Russia because for about 2 years, the war is still going on. In 2014, there was a conflict between the 2 and after 8 years, in 2022, Russia took action by invading Ukraine with the army and here in 2025, Russia's troops is taking one fifth of Russia. That's 20% of Russia! In November 2024, it was estimated by the economist that based on recent Ukrainian casualties, it is between 60,000 to 100,000 killed and 400,000 wounded. For how many tanks Russia have left, it is quite impossible to get the exact amount, but estimated, It is around 6,000 tanks. UK are supporting Ukraine with oil. The war is still going, but it might stop soon.
I think that there should be a HUB Discussion on the topic, Ways to reduce the usage of AI. This topic is suggested by me due to the reason of increment in the carbon emissions globally, which is disturbing the proportion of carbon dioxide gas in atmosphere because of AI. This would aid in finding various practically possible ways in which each individual can reduce their AI usage.
My parents are doctors and AI is already being used in the field of medicine. How would you feel about AI being used to help treat you? What ethical issues would need to be considered? AI could transform the way patients are seen, making treatment quicker, more efficient and more accurate. The downside is that there is a less human touch as AI cannot replicate human emotions and empathy.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about........Is the development of AI is bad for some people's jobs and what we have to do to solve this problem!?
Because, when AI is developed it already replaced some people's jobs so what solutions should we do to stop this?!
Could the solution be letting only some people to use AI🤔 like scientists or doctors, because they are the most useful users who use it for good and beneficial things also this will help to reduce CO2 emissions.
Thank you for reading 😊
Hi, I think there should be a hub discussion post about Ai's decision making skills, can Ai really make the most accurate, possible and beneficial decision? can Ai be used in making serious decisions like regarding the law enforcement or medication stuff? is it capable and trustworthy enough?
Hello, Topical Talk.
From my honest point of view, I think that a really interesting discussion should be about the different subjects we are teached in high-schools. Because some people, think that some subjects should be change by other ones.
What subjects would you suggest should be taught? Or should some subjects just be taught differently?
Hello David.
From my point of view, I think that high-schools should teach some subjects that will help us in our life.
Among them the ones that seem most important to me are the next ones:
The first one I will taught will be a subject that teach us how to survive on our own if we get lost in a forest or somewhere other than a city or a town.
The secind subject I will taught will be a subject that teach us how to make money and invest in stocks.
And finally, a subject in which we learn to do things thet are use in everyday adult life, for example: buyng things with a card, writing a good curriculum, answer great to job interview questions ...

I belive, that a really excellent discussion for the Hub should be one about teenagers lifes without mobile phones.
Because the majority of world teenagers think they could be some months without using their mobile phones, but they can not.
I guess we should add to the student hub about how to make 95% of the world use AI correctly and maybe we could ride the steps below:
1-First, we could make in each country in the capital city of local place which makes trainings about how to use AI correctly.
2-Second, we could also make this trainings but online for the people who cannot go to these places so they can take it online.
3-Third, we could also make a local place in each country maybe in the capital too but this place is going to be trainings to the people who are going to teach other people how to use AI to make them a little bit more professional and also ready for questions from the newcomers.
4-Forth, we could make also these trainings for the teachers but also online, to make them also professional and ready for any questions from the newcomers.
And I guess also we could add to the student hub some did you know sections for the people who like to read a lot of information about AI or any topic so I guess that a did you know section is going to be really helpful.
In conclusion, I'd like to say I hope these information or even some of it are added to the student hub to give information to students like me and my friends and I actually don't really care about the five stars you're going to give me if my comment was helpful I just care about the people who are going to read my comments and get more information hopefully.
Thanks for reading my comments Topical talk.
I want to suggest a post about how AI could be used to improve the world for the better. If people who use AI technology could use it to make the world a healthier place, by using it to look at the signs and symptoms of a sick patient, for example; belching, heartburn, nausea, etc. are symptoms of ulcer, so the AI robot could take a look at the patient and notify the symptoms to know the disease, and this is how AI could be used for a greater good💡.
Can we talk about how more than 50% of people prefer the AI to take control of each person's money instead of having someone who can manage it for you?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about making AI computers better for the Earth. As AI gets smarter, it can hurt the planet more. So, we need to find ways to make AI use less energy and create less waste. Let's share ideas on how to make AI kind to the Earth.....
We can make AI kind to the Earth by designing systems that use less energy, creating computers with recycled materials, and developing AI that helps people reduce waste. We can also make AI data centers run on renewable energy and invent AI that helps us use resources wisely.
Thankyou
These are very good suggestions! Do you have any other ideas on how AI can be kinder for the earth?
I think there should be a hub discussion about AI incidents: Who is to blame?
AI is more prone to accidents. If AI incidents happen, it can disrupt the business or the community. For example An ATM (Automated Teller Machine), If it shuts down or runs out of money it can disrupt the community and if someone wants to get money from the bank to do a quick shopping spree it will take time to withdraw money (mostly because of long queues).
Thank you honest_personality. That is a very interesting question!
Regarding the newly launched Chinese AI-system called 'DeepSeek', which is reported by many news agencies such as BBC or CNN all ver news papers and newscasts, a question is to be raised if those AI-systems from countries such as China which are told to be more climate friendly and more efficient are worth to be downloaded and used.
On the other hand it has to be considered that giving the firms behind AI-models such as DeepSeek may result in leaking one's personal information to the corporations.
What conclusions can be drawn after weighing up the pros and cons of non-western AI-models as represented by DeepSeek?
I think AI is not efficient yet but in the future AI will get better and therefore it will be more sustainable so it might not be a problem.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about, how AI owners could help use AI technology to make the world a better place. The discussion will create the boundaries for the ethical use of AI. The discussion will create the opportunities for people to discuss the pros and the cons of AI. Ultimately, this will help us come up with how it could impact the planet in a good way, because we need to make the planet a happy, resourceful, and peaceful place, for more and more generations to enjoy.
Interesting topic! What do you think some of the ethical challenges in AI are?
Do you think AI is good or bad I think it's bad
Hi, thank you. Can you please explain why you think AI is bad?
hello topical talk,
a very significant question is ( is AI sustainable enough to let it be use for one more decade
I think there should be a hub discussion on Cyber Security. Cyber Security has to do with protecting our computer systems and networks from criminal activities like hacking and thefts, and it also stops people from accessing data. AI can help stop people from using AI wrongfully and not give hackers, scammers access to webpages.
AI is prone to bugs, malware etc. It's system can be hacked which can cause details to be leaked and even unwanted attention to be drawn. AI can be used to stop scammers from sending out threats to people and even find scammers and hackers. AI can help identify cyber threats by looking at suspicious activities and predict attacks before attacks occur. AI can scan systems for any scams or make your firewall stronger so that it can not be attacked.
AI does a good job protecting your software sometimes AI can protect you phones, computers etc. without you knowing. Even though AI can be used for bad activities it can also be used for good activities that protect humans and our computers.
If AI could change the world what do you think it could do and how it will effect people all across the world.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about " How AI can help us recycle better" because it's a topic that could lead to real change. AI is already helping in some amazing ways, like sorting recyclables. For example, in some recycling centres, AI-powered robots are able to separate different types of waste faster and more accurately than humans.
This helps us recycle more efficiently and reduce the amount of trash that ends up in landfills.
Imagine if every city had smart trash cans that use AI to sort waste right when it's thrown away! It could make recycling so much easier for everyone.
In fact, AI can also be used to track how much waste we produce and help companies find ways to make less waste in the first place .
Plus, AI can help with tracking environmental data like air quality, which could help us understand where we're polluting and how to fix it. That would be like having a super smart friend who helps us make the world cleaner.
I think more people should talk about how we can use AI to protect our planet.
It's not just about creating new technology - it's about using it for a good cause!
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about, how AI technology could be used to improve our world in 2025. Although it might be improved later in the future, it shouldn't take away all the jobs/occupations that are being done by humans. And this should be done, because AI technology is being improved and some people think that AI technology should takeover people's jobs , but if AI does this then people will become very jobless. So, I think AI should be used to do the things that people do not know how to do yet, instead of taking over our own jobs.
I think there should be a hub discussion about how AI is functioning our new generation because in the next 10 or 20 years AI could be the most powerful and what would happen when our generation gets children and they get independent off of it. Should AI be banned I think its the most important question.
Dear empathetic _ harmonica!
I agree with your hub discussion suggestions, also your reasons and now I will answer your question.
Question: "Should AI be banned in the future?
Why: "AI could be the most powerful and what would happen when our generations get children, and they get
independent off of to it."
I guess you're right because sometimes children search for inappropriate stuff and also, they could use AI (or screen time basically) a lot. which could harm their eyes.
On the other hand, some kids open useful videos for school or something creative that they may create.
THANK YOU!
I think there should be a Hub discussion about how AI can help us save energy at because small changes can make up big impacts on sustainability. AI smart assistants like Alexa can learn our routines and automatically turn off lights, air conditioners, or unused devices, helping to reduce wasted energy without us worrying about it.
Some AI systems can detect when no one is home and turn off appliances, preventing the waste of electricity. Imagine if every house had access to affordable AI that help reduce energy waste, how much could we save on electricity bills, and how much carbon could we cut from the atmosphere?
AI isn't just for big business or developed countries, it can help regular people (like us) live more sustainable. Let's discuss about how we can make these AI energy-saving solutions more accessible!
AI is important in all type of fields but we can use it in agriculture also like we can keep some sensors in the agriculture soil and I prepare a program for that like them source will measure water all the nutrients or in the land and what need to be added to the land like extra compost or any manure we can use this as an recognition device and it will say how much water does applied need farmers can update which plant is been grown that and how the soil condition should be the AI will tell it simple that will be sense are in the agriculture soil and sharp like rod above that there will be and waterproof display also which gives the informations and we can program drone to put manure or fertilizer in the land and I think we can discuss about this more and more and we can start a discussion topic in it also which would be more useful for who know more about this AI use in agriculture so let's make our world easy for us but make ourselves lazy also thank you
For me, I believe there should be a Hub discussion about how AI is used in the education of children, especially in terms of studies? And is it really necessary?
For me, I think there should be a Hub discussion about the evolution of AI, because artificial intelligences are playing a major role in our everyday actions. Now when we ask ourselves a question, we don’t go looking for the answer in books or from specialists, we ask it directly to the AI, which provides it for us. This just goes to show that AI knows almost everything that is happening or has happened in the world, and that one day it may even be able to predict the future.
I believe a good discussion would be "Would ai replace people's jobs?"
Hello Topical Talks Crew,
I believe that a topic that should be discussed is the economical threat of AI to people. AI could replace people in jobs, and people would lose their jobs. Since AI is programmed to serve or to do work that may not be easy, there's a high chance of humans not participating in work that humans would usually do. This would result in humans losing money, homelessness, starving, hypothermia, and more things that people would probably not like to experience. Some robots could even be in the White House! Even though it could happen, I wouldn't believe it. I am very interested in learning more about if AI could replace human beings. Let me know what you think!
I think that we should AI should be sustainable and unsustainable because it have positive and negative things. Positive things are: to connect whole the world together and negative things are: wasting electricity and changing our environment climate.
Most people use AI extremely much and this is wrong. People should use it in normal way not so much and not so low.
So people should use AI in a good way and if someone use it in another way it will be bad for our world.
In my opinion, I think that AI and sustainability can have a positive and negative impact on the wider world. Therefore everyone should have access to AI as it can be extremely helpful and is a very intelligent discovery that should not go to waste as it has many positive qualities such as its ability to solve many complex questions. Also I personally believe that it increases our knowledge as it can show us step by step how to figure many different problems related to many different subjects. However I think that it should be limited as it can be used in a negative way such as cheating etc , which creates many disadvantages for others. Furthermore in the future it could potentially make people unqualified and dependent AI.
I believe that AI is going to be a big part of the future, however in my opinion I believe this is frightening as It could possibly take over the future and their for humans will not be needed any more. AI is making humans lazy, and soon it will be doing our jobs their is also the fear that they lose control and if their are many off them a simple malfunction can have a huge impact. This is why I strongly agree that we should not rely on AI to run our future.
It is also contributing to climate change and what is more important AI or the world we live in?
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about climate change because effects of climate change are well documented and growing Earth’s natural environment and human societies. Changes to the climate system includes an overall warming trend, changes to precipitation patterns, and more extreme weather. As the climate changes it impacts the natural environment with effects such as more intense forest fires, thawing permafrost, and desertification. These changes impact ecosystem and societies, and can become irreversible once tipping points are crossed. Climate activists are engaged in a range of activities around the world that seek to ameliorate these issues or prevent them from happening. The effect of climate change vary in timing and location. Up until now, the Arctic has warmed faster than the other regions due to climate change feedbacks.
Hi people, I think there should be a hub discussion about the possibility of having the negative impact of AI to the doctors and other health care centers and the impact of the negativity to the lives of the sick and to every one.
THANKS!
I agree that AI should continue in our daily life because it is very important for earth. We should use AI in good things to be useful for our life. AI is bad also. It make bad things like changing our environment climate. Most people use AI in wrong ways like wasting time for you and wasting electricity also. Some people use AI in the correct way like in searching for knowledge or inventing somethings can be useful for our world. AI made a huge change for our life. First people was using AI correctly but now they are using it wrong so it depends to us if we used it correctly it will be useful for our world and if we use it wrong it will be extremely bad for our daily life.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about why people don't understand the posible negative impact of technology, stripping it of the of the importance that should it have?
AI is one of the most powerful things in the world and you can use it for anything. For example, writing essays and answering nearly any question possible. c
What issues could AI cause if it writes essays and answers all questions?
I think we should do a discussion about how AI was made by human and now is better than human, if i were to wrote it in a question it would be "If humans got overwhelmed by AI what should we do?". Generally our brains are better than AI because we were able to do everything but won't do well on everything but that was way way back, nowadays it's different with AI now just being better at everything at most of what humans can do today.
This can also be a sign that AI could be a huge issue for all of humanity especially people without it. As it can ruin jobs, it can diminish our critical thinking skills, or even take over the world. I say this because the use of AI is also getting out of hand and the evolution of AI is getting too far for what most humans can handle.
We nowadays mostly use AI as a tool for everyday use we do that because, we know that it will give us a better answer than what we would've came up with. That is why AI can get overwhelming sometimes because how much knowledge it has compared to MOST humans, AIs like Chatgpt also uses 1 water bottle worth everytime someone asks it something. AI also has been an issue because of how overused it is and not every use are used in a good way, for example some try to use AI to fool people and some cheat using AI to get scholarship education wise.
By these examples we can tell that we humans depend on AI not only that is can also be overwhelming sometimes, IF AI gets out of hand then the built of AI at first was the beggining of Humanity's Final Invention
Interesting ideas ineffable_octopus - you say 'AI will give us a better answer than what we would've come up with' - can you make this claim for certain?
I believe that we should also consider it important to recognize some institutions, such as scientific laboratories or hospitals, where AI contributes to achieving new knowledge and significant advancements in various fields of science and medicine. These institutions may need to use AI more frequently and complexly to fulfill their purpose successfully. Therefore, I think we can exclude some of the institutions mentioned earlier from the restrictions on the frequency and intensity of AI usage.
Although, it can also be problematic to weigh the need for these institutions to use AI against any urgent needs they may have and the necessity of having something sustainable and protecting the climate. Despite this, I believe that all opinions on this matter are valuable and interesting, and can generate diverse perspectives.
I think there should be a Hub discussion post about AI being used in restaurants or fast food places.
Interesting thought super_cliff - what is your opinion on this topic?
I think there should be a necessary hub discussion about how we can change AI to an ecofriendly device. I believe that instead of saying that AI is bad or good, we can take an action directly to make AI sustainable and ecofriendly because it is helping us in wars, education, work, Agriculture and doing medicines and cures so it is helping us a lot.
I think that the use of AI should be implemented in technology because it can turn out to be a benefit for ourselves since who knows that through technological knowledge we can obtain the cure for many dangerous diseases or the answer to things that humans do not know about, science and about biology and human experiments. a deepening like exploring the sea and knowing that there is much beyond or in the universe.
I think there should be a hub discussion post about the downside of AI and unforeseen risk it poses to humans because since the introduction of AI, humans are quickly becoming dependent on it. This dependency can lead to dysfunctionality of humans which could then lead to redundancy of the human mind which will also possibly lead to
Job displacement
Security risk
Lack of originality and creativity
weak concentration power etc.
I strongly believe this should be opened up for discussion
