Who should be allowed to use AI?
Artificial intelligence is an exciting technology that can improve lives – from acting as a virtual assistant and driving cars, to solving problems using data. However, statistics in the news have revealed that AI is not yet sustainable.
Some people argue that if AI is not yet sustainable, we should limit its use. So who should be able to use it? And who shouldn’t?
Look at how the following people are using AI:

I am a farmer.
AI tells my equipment to feed only the thirsty plants, where to add fertiliser and which plants are weeds. This helps me to reduce waste, save money and grow more food.

I am a parent.
AI helps to manage my family’s busy calendars, finds recipes that work with my children's allergies and gives me tips about how to help them with their homework. It saves me time so I can do other things.

I am the owner of an online shop.
In the future, self-driving vehicles will help me as they will be able to deliver goods to customers. This will ensure deliveries are quicker, more efficient and more environmentally friendly.

I am a scientist.
I can use AI to spot natural disasters. I look at images taken from space, weather patterns and messages sent from sensors. This means I can detect the early-warning signs of a natural disaster and help people before it's too late.

I am torn between the farmer and the scientist, as I believe both have a fundamental role in the development and prosperity of humanity.
Of course, science is needed for our very existance, as we know it. A world without science would mean losing centuries of progress, leading to chaos and destabilization of the society. Science is one of the most important parts of the future of humanity, as nowadays more and more organizations (for example SpaceX) and countries are turning their eyes towards the cosmic space, colonizing the Moon or Mars. Also, science has helped us overcome many difficulties in day-to-day life and will help us more in the future.
HOWEVER, the development technology has brought us has led to an increase in human population, and in less developed regions overpopulation has led to famine and lowering living conditions. Therefore, as Earth gets more and more crowded and food becomes less available, AI in farming could, in my opinion, make a HUGE difference, as it would have a major impact on optimizing agriculture so that crop fields yield the maximum amount of food whilst using the minimum amount of resources and space.
This could help a lot with solving the ever-growing food issue humanity is facing. So, although I see benefits in both these fields, I incline towards prioritizing the farmer. While we need both, food makes for a basic need which no living being can exist without. As such, in order to ensure the very existance of the human race in the next 50 to 100 years, I believe AI should be directed primarily towards the food district of the economy.
Same here I'm torn between them as well . Farmers need AI for providing us with enough food; scientists need it to alert us if an earthquake was going to happen or a tornado before it is too late and It's destroyed everything.
I agree but weather people or news reporters are manly responsible for knowing and reporting and alerting others in the city its not really manly on scientist to know other then noticing the way clouds are formed and look like.
I agree with fairminded_strawberry, I am also a bit torn on scientists and farmers. On one hand, farmers should be able to use AI because they need to know what is best for the things they are growing or making. For example if there are vegetables that need the exact temperature like wasabi.
On the other hand, scientists can help us find solutions for problems like, if the sun is going to explode, we need to find a way to be able to survive. they can also discover things that can help us know what was it like in our future

I understand your point of view, and I agree that both science and farming are really important for the future. But I think focusing on farming, especially with the help of AI, could make a big difference right now. As you mentioned, the world’s population is growing quickly, and there’s not enough space for everyone. In some places, there are too many people and not enough food, even though there’s enough land to grow it. This is where AI can help farmers grow more food with less space and fewer resources.
Technology is already helping farmers today. For example, in the U.S., farmers use GPS and drones to monitor crops, saving water and fertilizer while getting bigger harvests. In Africa, AI helps farmers predict crop yields, improve irrigation, and stop diseases before they spread.
There are also new ideas like vertical farming and lab-grown meat that could help us grow food in smaller spaces. In places like Singapore, vertical farms grow food in tall buildings instead of on huge farms, saving space and reducing pollution. AI can make these farms even better by predicting yields and making them more efficient.
AI can help farmers grow more food, fight poverty, and make sure everyone has enough to eat. By improving farming with AI, we can help make food available to more people.
Focusing on AI in farming could help us solve big problems like hunger and pollution, creating a better world for everyone.
I am also very stuck between scientists and farmers as although scientists can predict any natural disaster or the weather with AI farmers need it almost the same amount as scientists because if farmers didn't have AI all their plants would die because AI tells them if which plants need water and what's weeds therefore if farmers didn't have AI it would have the same impact as if scientists didn't have AI because scientists predict weather possible saving us from tornado's but farmers plants will die if they don't remove weeds or water plants so they actual need AI the same amount both of them saving our lives.Lucky in this world almost everyone has access to AI.

In my opinion I think that the scientists would need the AI more because the scientists would have a more fundamental role using AI and I hear your views as you said science is needed for our very existence, as we know it. So I think that scientists need AI more than farmers .
In my opinion I believe that farmers should not be able to condon AI in some standpoints due to animals or planting like using items or other to plant or maybe accidently toxen the plants and accidently hurt animals or having toxic food that are for animals and not knowing because you cannot eat or try food that is specifically for animal,asking AI how to make medicine not knowing if it is bad to make and following the instructions and knowing if it will make them even worse so in my opinion I think scientist should be able to use AI.

And I think this difference between where to put the farmers shows the countries’s features.In America they have many farmers working compared to Japan. If the scientist had access to Artificial Intelligence, it could be able to predict natural disasters through detecting early signs, which would benefit all people, but especially farmers. Natural disasters such as tsunamis or earthquakes can affect farmers a lot as they can lose their crops, which would mean that famines could happen, and the farmers could also lose money. This could also cause the soil to be damaged, which would affect the food being produced in the following years.
On the other hand, farmers could also benefit from using AI. As mentioned by unassuming_otter, the world population is growing 0.85% per year, which might not seem like a lot, but considering the current world population, it really is. Due to the world population increasing, there is constantly more demand for food, which means that there is also the need for more supply. If AI could help farmers reduce waste and grow more food, it would greatly benefit everyone.
Overall, both the farmer and scientist have good reasons to use AI, which could make it very hard to pick. However, if I had to pick one, it would be the scientist, as I believe that it would have more positive consequences.
As you all probably know, nowadays artificial intelligence is becoming more and more useful, as well as powerful. It is obvious how much AI is helping the world and all the amazing things you can do with it. After all that being said, this tool is also damaging the environment. So, one thing is clear: not everyone should be able to use AI nowadays. So, who should among the options suggested? In my opinion, who really should be making use of AI are definitely the ones that save lives: doctors and scientists. Of course, it would be great if the rest could be making use of it, but sadly, AI is not yet sustainable. If we are focusing on the work of a scientist or a doctor, it is easy to guess how important they are to society, but they also have limits. With AI, some would end: faster warnings of natural disasters, more efficient documentation of your health problems.. However, my favourite example of this topic(I hope you enjoy it as well) is the AI Mia, which is used to detect breast cancer (it is actually able to increase the chance of detecting it compared to a human!).Finally, some people are making an incorrect use of these tools. To put a situation, I think that the parent shown here shouldn’t be using AI to manage all those things.. This is due to the fact that artificial intelligence is necessary, but we need to have in mind when we should and shouldn't use it (it's ok to make things by yourself!).To conclude, it is important to prioritize the aim of helping the society through AI above personal matters.

Because it's true that artificial intelligence is so useful nowadays, and actually if between 65 and 95% uses AI, it's going to be so helpful for planet earth. However, some people take this sentence about "if most of the world uses AI it's going to be so helpful for planet earth"and use AI, which is good(at least like some people think) but not in a good way, like for example: some people like teenagers or sometimes adults use AI to make websites which are not trusted but act like it's trusted and make people join it and maybe they get hacked or they get an anonymous person on his very own account, which is a big problem for the account owner. So we need to find ways to capture the people who use it (AI) in a not useful way and try to make the world better, by using AI in a better way, like for example: for children, they could use AI by studying, making homeworks or watching fun videos for school or for information too! Or maybe it could be for a parent like a mother, she could use videos to get recipes or some ways of how to do a specific thing and maybe it could be a father and use AI for example: how to fix a car or how to make something or how to help anything. And also we won't forget people who save our lives like you said doctors and scientists because scientists help us for natural disasters, they say to us is it likely to happen or not. And also doctors help us by using AI in machines to save people's lives.
To summarize, not every single person in the world should use AI, and if you would use it, use it in a useful way.

Honestly, I more or less agree with this point of view: as I said in my previous comment, Artificial intelligence is such an amazing tool that can be practical in a wide variety of ways. As you wrote in your reply, using AI for all kinds of educational activities is fine, while it can also be applied for some illegal or immoral purposes that may cause trouble to a lot of users. All of that is true, and I can totally understand your point of view.
On the other hand… I think that you also skipped an important point… AI can be useful for the population: to play, learn, research; it’s clear. But.. Don’t you think that, maybe, it is way too damaging for the environment? In your opinion, is it ethical that all kinds of people use these tools while they harm the planet (environmentally speaking) that much? I admit this is a difficult question, but it’s crucial that all of us, as we all live in the same planet, think critically about how we are using AI. What I'm trying to say is: is it really worth it?

But not 100% damaging to our planet, like for example: we as a society, want to make our planet healthy, so, we don't make our children study? learn? make assignments? and so on, so we need to choose one of these things:
1- To make only scientists and doctors use AI, and all the rest of the world could make things by their own without using AI
2- To make a lot of people make use of AI (and certainly make sure it is in a useful way). Like us (as children or students) making their assignment and study and so on.
I know it's a hard question so to make it fair between both choices we could make the needed people like parents, students, people who work on AI have limits with AI to be sure that they don't damage the environment hardly. I'm waiting for your reply Farminded_strawberry! ;-)

I completely agree with you that doctors and scientists should be allowed to use AI, however my opinions vary when you say that only doctors and scientists - the ones saving lives - should be allowed to use AI. I feel that farmers along with doctors and scientists should be allowed to use AI since one needs to sustain life after being saved and that can be done through adequate food available for all. According to a report by Food and Agriculture Organisation around 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted annually due to lack of monitoring and technology while many countries have to go through famines, starving and malnutrition just because the crops failed. This all can be changed only through the use of AI, one such example is the Kisaan - e -Mitra an AI assistant launched by the government of India which monitors the crops and notifies the farmers about the moisture level, disease or need of fertilizers. Similarly, AgriBot helps farmers in the manual tasks as well thus reducing the risk of crop failures significantly and feeding the saved lives. Hence I feel that farmers along with doctors and scientists should be allowed to use AI.
From my point of view,the owner of an online shop is the least important. It isn’t necessary to have self-driving vehicles,as you can deliver them yourself.But,more deserving of AI is the farmer, so they know where to add the fertilizers,and reduce food waste,as the text said.But,most deserving of AI is the scientist,so they can stop natural disasters happening in the future by warning everyone and planning ways to stop

I think the owner of an online shop is the most important because if you have a lot of deliveries to make in a day, your online shop shop is coming up and you have very few workers in your shop what will you do? Or like you said you can deliver it yourself but how many people can you really reach? Of course you would look for a way to make it faster.(Self-driving cars, Drones etc.) If you don't deliver what they need you would get bad review scores and lose your customers.
Also self driving cars are said to be more efficient than people. So would you get the self driving cars if you do not have enough workers and boost your business?
I personally don't agree with you because if this self-driving cars should be in use it can reduce the rate of employment in the world if that particular idea of self-driving cars are in use. but I'd rather say that the most person who should be allowed to use AI is the farmer, why because if the farmers don't get the chance of using AI it can reduce the world's population due to the lack of adding wrong or not efficient fertilizers to the plants which can damage the human internal organs.

Sure, it might make their business more efficient. But nobody really profits from all of these improvements other than the owner himself. I think, we should only give AI to people, who will use AI to make EVERYONE profit from their progress. For this reason, we should give AI to scientists. Think about it: There would be no reasonable medical treatment without scientists. Every computer, as we know them now, wouldn't exist without scientists. Most of the houses we live in today wouldn't exist without scientists. I fully agree with what you are saying quickwitted_engine, scientists are extremely important for the maintenance and development of the world that surrounds us. In contribution to what you are saying, I do believe parents are another very important posture in AI use. Parents, tutors, or any type or guardian face various issues when it comes to balancing their time. It is very complicated to keep some sort of space for yourself when you are actively taking care of a younger person. AI helps facilitate all sort of instructors to have a richer relationship with the younger ones, and with themselves. For example, working mothers that don´t have time to help their children with homework or teachers that have more than three different classes and need help organizing them. Education, at home, school or anywhere, is one of the most important keys to engage respectfully with eachother and with oneself. By making it easier to manage, you are creating a harmonious AI use for all; Just like you said, we want all to profit from AI.

AI could make things easier for a shopkeeper in many ways. Such as organising an online shop's interface to make it easy to use and also they could get the A.I to automatically order in the good/items that are needed
I both agree and disagree with you, but mostly agree. On the one hand, I agree with your point about the scientist being the one that most deserves to use AI. When a scientist uses AI, it creates a common benefit and improves the society in big terms; while if the owner of an online shop uses it, it will create a small benefit for few people.
On the other hand, I don't think the owner of the online shop is the one less "deserving" to use AI. I think it should be the parent, because it creates small benefits that can be achieved by other methods (asking other parents, with books...). Another thought of mine would be that a banker would need help from AI because they can use AI to detect any crime to do with money for instance they can use AI to see if a bank card is being used correctly and by the right person.
I partially agree with your views articulate_durian. Personally, I think the scientist is the most important because they are constantly creating things that will hugely affect the world. For example, scientists are able to create cures for many illnesses across the globe and prevent diseases that send the country into lockdown. So, if scientists were not granted the gift of AI the population would drop rapidly. However, my opinion on the online shop owner contrasts to yours and my reasoning is that I think AI is useful to them as it is more efficient to have products being sent in this format . Many of their operations needed are less reliant on human decision making. Also , products by the online company would need robots and technology to sort out their items into certain groups. In conclusion, I think the scientist needs AI the most out of the four roles.

I see your point. Taking into account that only those people above can use the AI, the most important ones would be the farmer and the scientific. If the farmer didn't use the AI, it would be very difficult for him or her to produce as much plants as he or she would like to do. It would be very difficult to keep those plants alive, and it would cost a lot more. Moreover, if the farmer uses AI, he or she will help the enviroment as he will reduce waste.

Well , for example maybe if there were a shortage of a food source they might need to use AI to see what food it is so they can grow it. also to know if any animals have any disease`s or need help.
Extending that great point, I believe that scientists need AI the most because of the things that can happen. In addition, if scientists use AI they can do research to try to prevent all these things from happening. For instance, a scientist can research ideas or ways to stop or control a tornado.
I am a farmer. I should be the one to continue using AI because everyone needs farmers to survive because they are the ones who produce food before it is transported and then it is further processed. In order for food to be distributed quickly, we need AI. In the farm, AI helps you to:
1. Differentiate between weeds and crops which will reduce loss of crops
2. It lets you know which crop needs fertilizer at that moment
3. AI reduces expenses because without AI, you need more man power to apply fertilizer, water etc. on all of the crops and in that case, it takes more time and there is a likelihood supplies will decrease rapidly.
So with the help of AI as farmers things will go fast.

I think that scientists and doctors use AI for things that affect all of us, from helping doctors to detect less uncommon diseases to predicting natural disasters before they occcur. However, I think that farmers should use it also because without AI there could be some problems when crops grow since they do not know the perfect amount of fertilizar and water plants need.

Every Doctor or Scientist have been trained for years to get their training. AI can be easily scammed or shut down, and if this continues it can result to loss of jobs. For example AI and Doctors are having a surgery then AI is preforming an action then it shuts down, if the surgery is ineffective some hospitals would fire the doctors. It can also stop a certain experiment from happening. If AI is overused and is used more frequently it will gradually replace doctors and scientists.

AI isn't perfect, the scientists and doctors have years of experience, and the subject as a whole has been developed and curated by many many dedicated scientists, AI is prone to bugs. If there are too many bugs, or even any bugs at all in the lab, then that could spell disaster. I agree with you because without farmers we won't have food to eat because when farmers don't plant, who would do the planting? AI could tell us which plant is a weed and which is not. Like you wrote, "you can't differentiate between weeds and crops which will reduce loss of crops" without the help of AI. I think AI is meant for everyone to make lives easier. I get your point that only doctors and scientists should use it so that it would help them in their fields. But again, that's simply not fair. AI indeed is one of the major reasons for unemployment so if I get back to your point doctors and scientists should not be allowed to use it either. But that is obviously not possible. So logically, everyone who is using AI for the betterment should be allowed to use it. Also, businesses also need AI to connect more with their clients or customers, and AI is surely needed by many more people/feilds. I get your point as I also think that doctors can use AI in efficient ways, however, I consider that students shouldn’t use it in university work. The majority of them use AI as an alternative to books, which I honestly think it’s wrong, mostly because learning develops pupils’ brains and by avoiding it they limit the use of their minds and creativity. Also, students tend to use AI as a source while taking an exam or while doing an important homework. Fortunately, some colleges and universities have already started to take measures on this topic, now being able to tell if a test or homework was done by the AI.

There are other jobs that can benefit from AI, they include people in finance, this can help them analyze the market trend, come up with possible places to invest in. The person who should be able to continue using AI is the scientist. I think farmers, parents, online shop owners, scientist, and doctors should be allowed to use AI in their fields.
In terms of farmers, AI tells the farmer where to add fertilizer on the crops that is not doing well, because without the help of AI the farmer will not know when his or her crops is growing or not. AI will help us to detect which land is good for planting some crops.
In terms of doctors, AI will assist the doctors on what is happening to a patient and prescribe drugs for the doctors to give to the patients and AI will also tell the doctors whether the baby in a pregnant woman stomach is stable or not.
In terms of scientists, AI will assist the scientists to detect what is going to happen to the earth in 100 years from now, it will also detect natural disaster like climate change and inform the scientists what is going to happen and inform the citizens from the whole world what is about to happen to everyone.

Secondly, I think u are wrong about the owner of a big online shopper because, like you said it will accelerate the economic processus but they are environmental consecuencies.
This will cause a lot of pollution and inegality beetwen the big compagnies and the little ones. Some of them will desepear. The rest of your opinion, I agree.
I agree because I think parents don't need AI to help organize schedules, because if you need help organizing a schedule then thats being lazy. And a shop owner does not need AI cars to deliver goods if its a small business then yes because small buisness's spend so much time packiging and getting their items made but a big buisness does not need that because they can afford drivers and cars.
I believe AI should currently be only used by Scientists in this senerio. I think this because we do not fully know how to use AI with all its endless oppurtunities as well as all its faults. But if scientists learned how to use AI properly, then we can learn more on how to stop or prevent natural disasters causing long term issues once more. In my point of view I am a scientist and I am the person who should use AI most because without me the world might be destroyed with flood, hurricanes and some other natural disasters because it is them that detect the early warning sign and in turn tells the people and they then also look for ways to stop it before it escalates and leads to the death of people or humans. Doctors should also use AI because in some cases it is AI that can carry X-Ray tests on us and tells us what went amiss in our systems and then look for possible means to treat their patients.

I agree with you because doctors are responsible for patients' lives, including feelings from people around them. There is a lot of pressure to diagnose that doctors give. On the other hand, more and more people, especially elderly ones, come to hospital, so doctors have to make decisions as soon as possible in order to smooth hospital system. I should be allowed to use AI in my profession as it helps me and my team to get specific satellite images, their interpretation and quick response to the changes leading to disasters which may save lives of many. In my point of view l think that doctors and scientists should have priority with AI as they both can save people and the world. My first point is doctors, they deserve AI more than others as it’s so important to cure illnesses and mend the broken bones of many people. Doctors have a huge benefit in our lives as they can keep us alive.My other point is scientists they should have AI, as it would help them to act quicker on medicines, natural disasters and many more. In my perspective, scientist needs AI than others .farmers basically knows how to grow and take care of plants and they're used to it . In my opinion the farmer or the scientist should be able to continue to use the AI because the shop owner doesn't need self-driving cars as he can hire people to drive the cars. Also by hiring people you can create more jobs which is good for the society. Also the parent doesn't need it as much as the scientist or the farmer because the AI only helps the parent but if the scientist or farmer use it it will be beneficial for more people.

In my suggestion, the one who is most applicable to use AI for a genuine reason is the Scientist as the scientist has a cause to use AI because in certain situations like this , AI will be beneficial than anything as it will help scientists detect natural disaster's before its too late and also, will help them to save lives of hundreds if not thousands of people. I personally think that scientists should use AI as they are supposed to use AI for beneficial reasons that will positively impact the world and everyday life. We had a disscusion about this topic in our english class today. One group thought that doctors derseve Ai the most but the other group said that scientist need it more. At the end we couldnt figure out who was right but we agreed that both careers will depend on it. If only one person could keep using AI, then according to me it should be the farmer. The farmer uses AI , to identify which plants are weeds, how much fertilizer should be added and basically how to grow crops effectively . In my opinion, everyone should get to use AI according to their use. Let's talk about a farmer, the farmer wants to use AI to check the quality of his plants, identifying the weeds etc.- but according to me a farmer can easily identify weeds, and the quality or recommendations of his plants, there is no need of AI for this field, instead a farmer can use AI to help know about temperature of soil and other requirements, so a farmer can use AI almost up to 10%. Then comes a parent, the parents can use AI to keep check on the medicines, make sure that the child's routine is being followed, and to keep the track of other daily necessities, but still a parent can limit their use of AI by using one application itself instead of using multiple to keep the track or other things. Now we have an online shop owner, obviously the owner would use maximum of AI, but still the use can be limited if the owner focuses on particular applications and devices, which are also green AI friendly, same with the scientists, the scientist can use AI according to their needs instead of using it to its maximum, or there can be researches based on books and encyclopedias instead of using AI just to get quick results. In conclusion, I think a scientist should get to use AI the most {but not to its fullest}. Everyone should get to use AI but at a limit. To my mind, every person has individual advantages of using artificial intelligence. Without exception, it should be used with a high grade of responsibility regarding the negative aspects. Without a doubt, AI is useful on various occasions. For instance, it can be used for saving a high amount of time or for supporting the learning process. Therefore, many people prefer using AI in order to have more free time. On the other hand, it is a very "useful" tool to neglect the responsibility. To your question, I consider AI to be very useful in other fields due to its advances in recognizing patterns. It is able to recognize structures that scientists may not have discovered yet. Nature is a mystic system; we can only get closer to its truth, but never fully reach it. This is similar to the models that are created to determine how atoms are built. Many centuries ago, in antiquity, Leucippus (in German: Leukipp) and Democritus (German translation: Demokrit) believed atoms were the tiniest particles that existed and which were not indivisible. Nowadays, scientists are convinced that atoms consist of electrons, protons, and neutrons. Whereas AI might offer us a rapid development in science.
In fact, it is necessary to consider that AI can make mistakes. If scientists or doctors only relied on AI, they could make profound errors in their studies or diagnoses. Universally, the given information must be objectively questioned.
However, we should not forget that AI and (!) humans are typically capable of errors. Leucippus and Democritus were having unintentionally incorrect ideas. Therefore, reasoning AI would not be the best option for solving problems; taking their errors into account became a bit ridiculous.

Hello in practical avocado and I go to Boutcher primary school in England I think scientists and doctors should be allowed to use Ai (Artificial intelligence) as they can warn us when disaster strikes on earth for example tsunamis, fires, wars and many more. I think for other people using Ai is really bad as it damages the environment and that can cause to breaking animals habitats around the world. Out of a farmer, a parent, an online shop owner, and a scientist, I think that an online shop owner needs AI the least as self-driving cars aren't necessarily needed to deliver customers' packages as we already have national and international delivery systems already in place. Both a farmer and a parent would benefit from the use of AI as farmers would be able to only water plants that need it & where to add fertilizer which in turn save money and reduces waste, a parent would more easily be able to cater to their children's allergies & likes/dislikes, and have suggestions on how to help on homework which would give them more time for themselves but the don't necessarily need it.

The owner argues that this will allow the process of delivery to be more environmentally friendly yet doesn't consider the large amounts of water and electricity required for AI to work in such a capacity. AI is notorious for high CO2 emissions and other stresses on the environment which I feel will outweigh the supposed benefit to the environment of more efficient logistics.
The owner also mentioned the use self-driving vehicles via AI. This can be argued to be quite inconsiderate of the online shop owner as people in logistics such as lorry drivers and warehouse operatives are quite reliant on these jobs being available to them which the presence of self-driving vehicles may negatively affect. It is especially important to not take away employment opportuinities unnecessarily considering current struggles in unemployment and job markets in many economies. Therefore, the damage to potential employment opportunities is not worth the slightly quicker delivery time that the use of AI could achieve.
i personally think that everyone should be able to use ai as long as they put it to good use and if people are doing homework e.g a university student i think they should do it themselves but if they get stuck then they should be able to use ai but overall i think that ai should be open to everyone. From my point of view the most deserving of them all is clearly the scientist, because with their work and research, they don’t only benefit from it themselves, but they also help many others.
It is often mentioned that these scientists can use AI to detect natural disasters before they cause any harm, and notify everyone in possible danger. Nonetheless, this is not the only reason why scientists should be the ones chosen in this hypothetical scenario. They can also find patterns for illnesses, conditions, or several other health problems and identify them in a patient using the systems that come with AI. However, it is also necessary to educate these doctors and scientists to use it properly and to its full potential; and make sure that they, by themselves, know how to manage and work with all the analytical results that will be needed for the AI system to efficiently process and compare all the possibilities.
I would like to empathise that with this opinion, I am not invalidating any other plausible answer, as someone’s opinions depend on their experiences and knowledge. AI or artificial intelligence has been growing for years because developers are hoping for more people to use and rely on it. It is made to boost our knowledge and make our lives easier throughout the day. Although it can help everyone, there are some reason that are more important than others to depend on AI. For example in the question stated above, I believe that a scientist should be the one to use AI because of the effect that it spreads to others. A scientist can benefit a parent by describing studies that show ways to boost a child's mind or explain new allergies and medicine. They can also help farmers and owner's of online shops by finding out the best times to be outside and the dangers of the air quality for the farmer's plants, or the weather that could hold up the deliveries for a shop. Therefore, I think that everyone finds it more convenient to use AI but a scientist may be able to help more people if they are given that advantage.
I believe that it is very important for scientist to use AI. By using AI scientists can develop tools for making farming more efficient and producing more crops. For instance, from using AI scientist developed a farming tool that can estimate the growth of potato seeds and make better crops, larger yields, and more sustainable farming practices. Furthermore, by using AI scientist can develop cures for different kind of diseases.

I am a parent; AI helps me and my family to become smarter and helps us in simplifying things for an instance: washing dishes, making food, cleaning the house, help me in my work, delivers everything for us and takes care of the children and the babies. For these reasons, parents should use Ai because their life is complicated and needs a lot of helpers to do it.

I think that doctors should be able to use AI because the AI establishment could help with scans and more complex situations. In my point of view, AI could give a more positive mark on our welding. On the other hand, AI’s sustainability could lave an irreversible mark on our planet. Though the question is, is it worth the risk. Doctors who use AI could have a more sufficient method during surgery.

I would argue that the Scientist holds a higher priority for using AI as their work will overshadow someone that is using AI to deliver goods to their customers. The scientist's work affects a larger population than the owner of the online shop. The Scientist will utilise AI to ensure that natural disasters are dealt with appropriately, this gives human beings a better opportunity to ensure the earth doesn't suffer largely and ensure that they themselves are able to reach safety where possible. However, in cases of Covid - 19 it would be justifiable to state that the owner of the online shop would be able to provide it's customers with products whilst following guidelines. A system like the self-driving vehicles would eliminate the risks of someone being in contact with another person outside of their household. If this argument was presenting during the outbreak of Covid - 19 perhaps I would state that an online shop owner would temporarily take priority over the Scientist due to the severity of Covid - 19 as many households struggled with purchasing necessities, such as food. This could have also been able to keep the economic market afloat as businesses can continue to function.
I think scientists should use AI because this can help us identify fossils and what fossils they are in addition to this information can be found here on earth so say if we find for example dinosaur fossils AI will come in handy

In my opinion, the owners of online shops being the only people who have access to AI seems ludicrous. They don't produce food or help people analyse and stop disasters; they just have a business and want to make money, which isn't wrong, but it shouldn't warrant them having special treatment when other careers help people far more.
Furthermore, the parent being the only person having access to AI seems impractical. How would you enforce it? If a parent is a scientist, can they use AI to help improve their work? The farmer having access to AI is actually not that impractical or ludicrous. It can help them manage overgrown weeds, properly use fertilisers, know when to water plants, and reduce food waste. Now, who figured out what fertilisers are? Who figured out food chains? Who figured out that the sun makes plants grow faster? The scientist.

Hi everyone, in today's topic we are talking about who should use AI more. I think that scientist should use AI more reason been that scientist are able to predict natural disaster and this have saved millions of lives. I also believe that if scientist use AI the world will be safer place to live and the owner of an online shop should not use AI because I see it has them trying to be lazy they are the one reducing our electricity and cause the greenhouse gasses.
I think that anyone should be allowed to use AI as long as they have a good reason for using it. For example if I was a university student I would probably need to use it to help me do my homework or an assignment. Also with a doctor or a scientist they can save our lives or cure one of our serious illnesses that could be very harmful.

In my opinion, i think parents would need to use AI and the reason for this opinion is that if you have a kid you would have to be able to book doctor appointments and be able to contact baby sitters or daycare for when you need it. Another reason why parents should use AI is to manage when you're gonna do stuff, because a kid should not be allowed to be stuck inside a house for a couple of days without going out and having fun. And my friend thinks that doctor should have easy access to the AI website to help and care for their patients and contact people who are in need and I also believe that a banker should have easy access to AI so they can have loads

Although existing technology can detect hazards, it is mostly available in developed countries like the USA where it is very expensive. AI is seen as a more affordable solution that can be used globally, and so developing countries with limited resources can still access it to take appropriate measures in the event of a natural disaster.

Personally, I believe the scientist is the most deserving user of AI as through the ability to spot natural disasters, evacuation warnings can be put in place to save many lives. Natural disasters not only cause the death of many civilians, they cause mass destruction; destroying buildings and wiping out vast areas. From an economic standpoint, natural disasters shatter the economy of the countries they affect due to the cost of repairing the damages. This demonstrates the need for scientists to use AI to allow countries to prepare beforehand and for its civilians to have an opportunity to evacuate and seek safety.
I believe that the shop owner is the least deserving of AI as whilst I appreciate how it would be of benefit to them, I do not believe that it would massively impact day to day life. The question " who should be allowed to use AI attracted me and made me think for a while to take the right decision. In my opinion, scientists are the most people who are in need to AI because they protect our planet from natural disasters as the text mentioned. I know that a farmer, a parent and an owner of an online shop are all important but most of them use AI for themselves. However, scientists work, help and protect the planet from dangers so they don't use AI to get benifet from it to themselves. As you know, AI produces CO2 which is very harmful to the environment and our health too. So we have to reduce using AI by choosing the most important job or person to use it. I believe that farmers should be able to use AI so that they know where to put fertalizer and so that they can produce crops for us to eat and stay healthy. Also if farmers did not use AI the crops might not be that safe for us to eat.

In my veiw, to all those people except the parent, AI can be rerally helpful with various tasks. The reason I am excluding the parent is that I believe that AI is not that advanced and trustworthy yet, so parents can take advice from it in terms of raising their own child. On the contrary, I think that from the rest, the one that can really take advantage of the power of AI is the scientist. More specifically, I find that it can be really useful to them for the discovery of difficult deseases like cancer (which is already in progress) or for the shake of science's progress in general that can be useful to humanity.

Firstly, scientists succeeded to make an antibiotic that kills the deadliest types of bacteria by the help of AI. Furthermore, AI helps scientists to make cures from many illnesses and diseases. In my perspective, AI is more efficient with the better user. the least important is the online shop owner as he can hire employees to self-drive them. a more valuable user is a parent which is really important to help their children but still not helpful to society. a more worthy user is a scientist who protect us from natural disasters (seismologist) or another will create a medicine or even a device but this wouldn't be as important as farmers as the grow plants for oxygen, also food to eat and are very important for climate change and global warming.

Currently, self-driving cars are too dangerous to be let loose on the road, and even if they were perfectly refined, they can cause millions of jobs to be lost due to people getting replaced with AI. Furthermore, self-driving cars delivering goods can cause a moral dilemma on how to punish an AI that broke the law and maybe even taking someone's life. Currently, I think that it is too early to produce a completely self-driving car, as the moral implication can be dire if the law doesn't place proper regulations. In the past, there is no access to proper healthcare and medicinal facilities. But now, the health care systems ,mainly medicines are highly improved, the scientists reasearch more and more to find a solution to treat a particular disease. Thus, the scientist is protecting the people 's life by finding medicines via research and cure the particular disease. They are like shield to protect people from diseases and making them to get free from diseases. For me I would say scientist should use AI out of the 4.My reasoning behind this is that’s scientist are the ones who create cures and alerts us if there are any dangerous weather or storms incoming.If they have AI they would you be able to make a multitude of different cures that is would help people and alert people from any dangers(this can be lifesaving).

If those distribution services were to be replaced with self-driving vehicles, then many people would lose their jobs. It'll be a one-sided profit, profitting only the owner of the online shop and leaving others unemployed.

Doctors on the other hand ,only save sick peoples lives and they do not need AI to make the medicine because the scientists are the ones making the medicines not Doctors . I believe that owners of an online shop could benefit from AI mainly for advertisements and for taking peoples orders and keeping their stock up to date. Despite the fact owners of an online shop could benefit from AI I don't believe they deserve it the most. In addition you could argue that farmers deserve AI because it could be used for checking if food was ripe or which plants are weeds. Despite my opinions, I think that scientists deserve AI most because they can use AI to spot natural disasters before they occur and they could use AI to monitor space.

It isn't very important to have self-driving vehicles used by online shops when other people (scientists, forest rangers or doctors) can do a more important job using AI. If doctors have AI they can save lives and look for harmful diseases that can hurt humanity on a larger scale. In conclusion, I think doctors and scientists have a more important reason to use AI. I believe that a forest ranger should use AI because they need remote control for cameras in the sky and cameras on trees in hiding spots to see if anyone are chopping down trees illegally. There are many people that use AI , but some need it more than others, due to that I would say a scientist needs AI

I agree because AI is making the world a better and worse place to live because of all of the fossil fuels we are burning to power it. This means that we are endangering some spiecies in our oceans and on land

I don't think the scientist needs AI because they are meant to discover things in person not using technology. As important as farmers are, also do not need AI, because they should be able to tell if their crops are ready without having to use AI. Although parents are very important they shouldn't have to use online technology to help their own children with whatever they need. I see how people would argue that the doctor needs AI but they should be able to tell if they have an injuries or illnesses without out using technological tools. i think that scientists need A.I. because they need new tech to discover new things like viruses and things about the future.They also need to know medicine for their patients and descriptions and doses for the patients .they need to know whats going on if a sickness is unknown or a computer virus or anything.If you want an unknown illness to be discovered a scientist needs A.I. to monitor the symptoms.

i think that the doctors deserve A.I more because if you are ill then you will need a doctor to help you get better so you can go to work but if they didn't use A.I then it would be harder and less efficient to diagnose an illness. In my opinion, I believe doctors should be able to use AI more than other people. For one thing, patients may come to them with a rare illness or disorder or a disease which could have been caught somewhere unknown, and doctors may not be able to diagnose it. However, AI is a library of knowledge, and would be able recognize the patient's symptoms almost in an instant.

AI is being used to investigate things like sustainable crop varieties or better responses to the changing climate, so there is some chance that farming could be improved a lot by AI.
